Revolver's "Hottest Chicks" Issue Arrives Featuring Cristina Scabbia
Band Photo: Lacuna Coil (?)
It's an issue some think should be forever scrapped for sexist overtones and focusing on entirely the wrong aspects of musicians, while others eagerly await its arrival every year... the "hottest chicks in hard rock" issue of Revolver is here!
Cristina Scabbia has landed the cover feature slot for this year's issue, which is on-stands everywhere now. This marks a record third time she has graced the front cover of Revolver.
The new issue features an exclusive look into Cristina’s life and can also be picked up online right here. Scabbia states:
"The photoshoot for the new Revolver cover was one of the coolest I've ever done, not only because it was inspired by Suspiria (an Italian horror movie directed by the horror master Dario Argento), but also because the whole working team were been simply incredible.
"From Jimmy Hubbard (the photographer), who build up a panel that resembles the colored glass windows you see in the movie itself (and made me feel so comfortable during the whole working day) to the beautiful make-up artist and the stylists.
"I can't thank enough Sammi, Jimmy and the Revolver crew for being so cool with me and Dan Epstein for the cool interview! I'd do it all again tomorrow!"
Lacuna Coil is in the middle of recording an upcoming album, which is entitled "Delirium," at BRX Studio in Milan. The album is self-produced by bassist and main-songwriter Marco “Maki” Coti-Zelati and engineered by Marco Barusso, with assistance coming from Dario Valentini. It is also the first album featuring new American drummer Ryan Blake Folden, who has been touring with the band since 2012. The follow-up to "Broken Crown Halo" will be released in 2016.
