Machinae Supremacy Cancels Upcoming Tour Dates With Urizen

Machinae Supremacy has been on the "WTF" tour in Europe alongside Urizen, but remaining dates for the tour have been scrapped. Machinae Supremacy comments:

"Unfortunately we have to cancel our upcoming shows in Germany and The UK. On the morning of September 5th our bus driver Stefan, Gordon's father, suffered a stroke while driving between Turku to Tampere, Finland.

"Fortunately, Jonne, Gordon and Mika were very quick to react and managed to get down to him, take over and stop the bus, narrowly averting what could have been a catastrophic accident. The bus sustained some damage as it hit the highway guardrail, but everyone in the band and the rest of the crew is okay.

"Stefan was rushed to the hospital in Tampere and prepped for surgery, and we couldn't even see him. We were told there was nothing we could do for him. Instead of just sitting and waiting, we decided to go ahead and play the Tracon-X show, with the events of the day like a dark cloud over everything.

"The next two shows were in Sweden and we knew that whatever happens we have to get all the people and the bus and minivan back to Sweden either way, so we started heading back on the 6th. Gordon's mom and sister and Stefan's sister flew in to Tampere to be there with Stefan, who was still in critical condition due to complications during surgery.

"We debated whether or not there was a chance we could go through with the tour. When we landed in Stockholm and Stefan's condition was unchanged, we did what we had done in Tampere. We played the show. But we also decided there and then that we can't go on like this, knowing we can get bad news at any moment.

"We pushed it one more day and played Gothenburg too, but now it's time for Gordon to be with his family. Stefan remains in critical condition in the hospital in Tampere. Our thoughts are with him and his family, and we're hoping for the best."

Urizen also adds: "We here in Urizen were 100% supportive of canceling the remaining dates, and agree that it was the best course of action for everyone. Please join us in sending good thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes to Stefan, Gordon, and their amazing family."
