The Rockstar Ramblings: Euro Invasion Part X
Entertaining and rock fueled videos this week by way of Europe in the form of Santa Cruz, Crazy Lixx, Million Dollar Reload and Sister Sin. What is it about Sweden? Must be something in all that snow they eat.
Santa Cruz have debuted their new video for “Wasted N Wounded.” The idea behind the video is to show an angry manager while the band parties hard. Oh, those crazy kids! Anyway, the video starts off at what looks like the morning after of a Lady Gaga impersonation party gone wrong (or right!) with glittered bodies passed out and piled on top of each other.
The pimp (manager) is on the phone and is wearing a leopard pimp blazer and probably yelling “pimp” type things like “Yo Bitch”, “Best Have My Money, Bitch” and “Yo Bitch!” Cut back to the party and someone is waking up after passing out in the bathtub. I have never done this, but I bet it feels awful. I can’t stand being in a tub for more than 10 minutes, can you imagine? Not too mention, your back, even twenty-year old me would have been hunched over like Wilfred Brimley.
This band has always been committed to the eighties and this video continues that tradition with lots of neon and pink sunglasses. That’s right, pink sunglasses. Flashing back to the night before the party is in full-on destruction mode and everyone is having a blast. Have to think a party officially moves from out-of-control into destructive once the first wall is full of graffiti…
The first single and video from Sister Sin has been released for their album ‘Black Lotus.’ The video is for “Chaos Royale”, an in-your-face rock song that will arouse and make you scared. It’s fun like that.
The video kicks off with lots of tattoos, masks and a spiked leather jacket; a recipe for a kick-ass rock video as well as a night out with Tequila. Vocalist Liv Jagrell would make a great High School principal. At first all the kids would think, yeah let’s all get detention and get “punished” by the Ms. Jagrell. Then they would be punished and never do anything wrong, again, ever…
Million Dollar Reload have released a video for the new song “Penny For Your Dirty Mind.” Love the title and this band. Seems like a real laid back group that likes to drink beer out of cans, watch a game and not be offended by gang bangs…
A new video for “Hell Raising Women”, by Crazy Lixx has been released. Wait! Are those the same boots Jon Bon Jovi wore in “Runaway?” This band so reminds me of Ratt; the old-school Ratt, not the quarreling and trying to sound like old-school Ratt. Please come back old-school Ratt…
