April Fools! Did We Get You?
We hope you enjoyed our April fools stories yesterday as much as we did! In our long-standing tradition, we devoted the entire day to fake news and spoofs. We had fun writing them despite the fact that we can't really fool most of you in our twelfth year of the tradition, even when we start off with some very plausible (yet fake) stories. In case you missed them, you can read yesterday's April Fools stories here.
Promises of a Metallica's new album details and Tim Lambesis' escape from jail (despite being out on bail untl his sentencing hearing on May 2nd) and K.K. Downing re-joining Judas Priest, among many others, were too much for readers to pass up.
To those who got all worked up about it, we've been doing this for a LONG time now. The bands that get spoofed are either easy targets or ones that we like. And sometimes the stories practically write themselves! It's all in good fun, and no harm is intended.

OKE I concur, some people need to either roll with it that day or stay off the airwaves completely, especially idiots threatening each other and getting all butthurt, that being said it was amusing to see a certain cheesedi@k on here get pressed.
most of it was good though.
I liked anselmo's self imagined interwebz lil' guard puppy the best...yap, yap, yap, me and phils gonna beat yo azz!!
I fvcking laughed out loud at that sh!t...oh and also at some of the alternate suggestions of what the tattoo might read, a few of those were fvcking disgustingly funny indeed :)
I really enjoyed April fools on MU this year. Past years I've felt like I often do around Halloween, wanting to do something cool, but always waiting too long. This year I just focused on one article. I gave a lot of shout-outs to people I know in the industry, only the artists from now-disbanded groups really seemed to care. One business owner was quite rude to me.
Yes, people don't read articles before commenting. I threw in a couple of jokes, too, just to see if our readers would catch on.
Whether causing excitement, disappointment, anger, laughter or bewilderment, thank you to all who read our articles.

Ya know, I said yesterday the worst part of april fools was this article since it's been going on so long. But after reading some comments I can see lots of people actually were fooled. Anyway, lots of funny stuff as usual yesterday MU. Can't wait to see what you come up with next year.
