Greetings, all. I suppose I should introduce myself here, as I've already posted elsewhere. I hail from Columbus, OH, been here all 32 years, hate the weather.
Favorite bands include Primordial, Testament, Death, Obituary, Celtic Frost, Crowbar, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, other older guy shit, etc.
I was in a band, I spewed forth violent prose, we sucked, thrashy/death/something. We're getting back together to play a few shows, including a memorial for a dear friend who is no longer with us.
I love good beer, such as Arrogant Bastard, Guinness, B.O.R.I.S. the Crusher, Stone Ruination, as well as shitty beers like PBR and Miller High Life. Light beer is for fat bastards pretending they don't have a beer gut.
Also, I love boobs.

Hails! Nice list - What's your favourite Dio album? I'm looking for recommendations.

Hm, tough choice. Only one? Here goes....
Solo - Holy Diver
w/Black Sabbath - Mob Rules
w/Rainbow - Rising

Apr 25, 2011 6:10 AM ET #404 (permalink)

Yeah I think I would've picked Mob Rules as well, though I've been playing "The Devil You Know" and "Dehumanizer" a lot, great albums. Haven't heard his solo stuff much though so I'll check out the Holy Diver album.

Yes, Dehumanizer is badass.
I missed the Heaven & Hell lineup tours, kind of a bummer. However, a few years back, I did get to see Dio, Iron Maiden, and Motorhead front row & center. That was amazing, possibly best show I've ever seen. Although seeing Celtic Frost reformed and playing mostly Morbid Tales mixed in with To Mega Therion and Monotheist tracks was fucking awesome.

Welcome VS ans welcome JW.

VS: Dehumanizer was highly underrated. As was "The Gates Of Babylon" by Rainbow. That song is easily my favorite Rainbow song.

Now in the spirit of the Mighty MU... Go fist yourselves (our heart-felt greeting to all n00bs)!!!

May 4, 2011 5:25 PM ET #413 (permalink)

:The Gates of Babylon" eh? Guess I'll have to put it on the list to check out - cheers BG.

May 18, 2011 1:45 PM ET #424 (permalink)

I've been following MU for over a year during my lunchbreaks at work... thought I'd sign up and maybe leave a random post every one in a while.
I really enjoy the "unearthing the (insert topic) underground" series. Learned about some new music that way.
This site definitely helps to keep me up to date on Metal news, since there really isn't another metal news outlet in Oklahoma.
The witty and amusing commentary by all you MU members is also much appreciated!

Thanks for the site!
