70000 Tons of Metal - The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise

Low Budget Orchestra

Formed: 2006
From: Finland
Last Known Status: Active

The purpose of Low Budget Orchestra is to produce high quality music and well produced sound by budgetary means. The aim is set up high - to build a huge wall of sound that absorbs the listener within.

Low Budget Orchestra plays instrumental progressive rock, with a slight leaning to metal. Being progressive rock - a musical style with a long history and many variations - the music can stand for a lot of different things. In my music the guitar is often a starting point, but the sound is build up with lots of other stuff as well in layered orchestration.

The music is not mathematician's air display. Rather than strictly technical or intellectual, the foundation and focus in my music is on the emotional. Each song is designed to tell a story, convey a feeling, constitute an emotion. The aim is to move the listener as well as create a lush and big orchestrated whole.

Low Budget Orchestra is a one man band. The music is written, performed and realized by Mikko Muranen.

Low Budget Orchestra - "The Second Best"

"Disappointing melodic development makes the songs stagnate, but the guitar shred parts are well-played and the keyboards are effervescent. Not the most original, but not bad."

Rated 2.5 out of 5 skulls
