White Stones Posts New Single Online

From Martin Mendez, bassist of the ubiquitous Opeth comes White Stones, a solo death metal project. Recently, they announced that their debut album named "Kuarahy" (pronounced Kwa-Ra-Hee) will be released on March 13th and today, they offer their fans a first insight into the album with the first single "Worms," that comes with a video! You can check out the video below.

74 More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2020

The organisers of Belgium's premier metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting have confirmed a further 74 bands for next year's edition of the event. Among the newly confirmed bands joining previously announced headliners Judas Priest and Iron Maiden will be hard rock pioneers Deep Purple, nu metal favourites Korn, Chicago stars Disturbed, the recently reunited Mercyful Fate, California's own, Deftones and pop punk stars The Offspring. The festival will take place across four days from 18th-21st of June.

Opeth Premiere New Track “Dignity”

Opeth Reveals New Album Details

Swedish masters of progressive heavy-rock Opeth have revealed today the title and tracklisting for their awaited 13th album, "In Cauda Venenum," due out this fall from Moderbolaget / Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

Recorded last year at Stockholm's Park Studios, In Cauda Venenum will be released in two versions, in both Swedish and English languages. Various physical and digital formats will be available and additional details will be announced in the coming months.

In anticipation for the impending release, Opeth will be performing shows around the world through the end of the year. Dates are listed below and tickets are on sale now. Additional touring will be announced soon. More...

24 More Bands Confirmed For Download 2019

The organisers of Britain's biggest rock festival, Download has announced a further twenty four bands for next year's edition of the event. Joining headliners Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool will be Slayer, in what will be their final show in the United Kingdom, fellow thrash metal legends Anthrax, Virginia favourites Lamb Of God, grunge legends Smashing Pumpkins and progressive metal titans Dream Theater among others. The festival will take place at Donington Park from June 14th - 16th

Download Festival Announces Headliners

The organisers of Britain's largest rock and metal festival, Download has announced the three headlining bands for next year's event. Capping off the first night will be legendary British rockers Def Leppard, who will be performing the classic album, "Hysteria" in full, while on Saturday, Iowa nine piece Slipknot will headline the festival for the third time, before the weekend comes to a close with a performance from Tool.

In addition to this, a number of bands have been confirmed to perform at the event, including Slash and Myles Kennedy, Trivium, Amon Amarth, Rob Zombie, Whitesnake, Carcass, Opeth, Die Antwoord, Delain, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Power Trip, Reel Big Fish, Skindred, Tesla, Starset, Underoath and The Amity Affliction.

The festival will take place at Donington Park from June 14th - 16th next year.

Swedish progressive metal legends Opeth will release "Garden Of The Titans: Live At Red Rocks Amphitheater" on November 2nd via Moderbolaget Records / Nuclear Blast Entertainment. This historic event was captured for the DVD, Blu-Ray and Vinyl formats during their performance May 11th, 2017 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, CO. Both the DVD and Blu-ray formats include CDs containing the audio as well. Video footage for Garden of the Titans was overseen by The Deka Brothers (carpenter Brut, The Prodigy) and audio was mixed by David Castillo (Katatonia, Bloodbath). The running order for MetalDays’ 2017 edition has been published today on the festival’s official website. Do you want to know when your favorite bands will be playing there and how to prepare yourself best for the party season?

Well, you can now check it out on the day-by-day line-up page of the website. Please note that this running order is preliminary and may be subject to changes in the near future.

The new map of the festival’s location has also been made available to the public. You can take note of all the changes and details by clicking here. Let us remind you that a third stage called “New Forces Stage” will make its appearance for the first time in 2017! Besides, the festival team decided to renew the project of installing a camp reserved for the single girls attending the event, among other things.
