German powerhouse quintet Maroon have just completed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records and will release the follow-up to their 2004 sophomore album, "When Worlds Collide," on April 18th. The band added a whole new dimension and depth to the watered down metalcore scene and quickly became one of Europe’s most crushing live acts.
Andre Moraweck (vocals) describes the band’s excitement over the new deal:
“Hey everybody, greetings from the snow mountains here in Germany. We’ve just returned from a massive four-week European tour with the almighty Obituary, and we’re happy to announce that we finally completed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records. We are very excited to release our new album, 'When Worlds Collide,' and this effort is the next logical step for us as a band. It’s definitely our most aggressive offering yet. We hope that all the fans in the U.S. join the army of darkness and make this album’s campaign a great one.
“This album is just plain brutal and features more classic metal influences. The disc also features guest appearances by Barney Greenway (vocals) of Napalm Death, Roger Merit (vocals) of Agnostic Front and Mikkel Sandager (vocals) of Mercenary. Our main goal this summer is to extensively tour the U.S., so keep an eye out for the new album and upcoming shows in your area. We hope to see you all very soon.”
A new Maroon track, entitled "Wake Up in Hell," has been posted at mp3.centurymedia.com/maroon/whenworldscollide/maroon_wakeupinhell.mp3.
Germany’s metal infused hardcore outfit Maroon will support Obituary and Samael on their forthcoming tour in January 2006. A special guest, who is still TBC, will be added as opener to the package.
“We are extremely happy and very proud to be part of this tour”, says Maroon frontman Andre Moraweck. “Obituary and Samael are some of our most favourite bands and some of the main reasons that got us into music as well as making music. We are really looking forward to sharing stages with both bands. – Don’t miss this awesome package!”

First of all a few words from Maroon on the tour:
Back home!!!! The “Triumph Of Hate”-tour is finished and it has been just awesome and a huge success. Above all, we’d like to extend thanks to the guys in Cataract - it was really fantastic to be on tour with them, for us it was definitely the best tour we have played so far... Thanks to MAD Tourbooking, Century Media as well as Alveran Records and all promoters. Special thanks go out to all the fans in England, Poland and Germany. England was really mind-blowing and unexpected for us. In Poland our shows had always been an event, but this time it is hard to find the right words for the crowd and the action. Definitely THE show of the whole our! Thanks and HAIL to Poland! Special thanks to our road crew Pappe, Hendrik, Matze and Martin for the good work and lots of fun.
Although the tour is over now we will not sit back and do nothing, but will continue playing shows in December and January, amongst others with our brothers from Heaven Shall Burn again. Caliban, Hatesphere and Cataract will be in on it, too.
Everyone who hasn’t had enough of the Maroon live-machine can see us on stage in February on a six-week tour all across Europe with the Crossover forefathers Downset. We are really looking forward to this tour and hope that we can reach some new people besides our fans. Thanks for the support!!!More...
