Xtreem Music has issued the following announcement about Supuration releasing a compilation album:
"Yes, the mighty French legend Supuration (aka SUP) are back from the crematory in form of a retrospective collection CD which includes all the earliest and most brutal stuff of the band from '89 /'90 when they were in their most death metal shape right before they started to experiment with clean vocals and more varied sounds.
"'Back from the Crematory' is the generic title of this cult release which is planned for an imminent release on September 16th. The CD includes the awesome band's debut self-financed mini CD 'Sultry Obsession' ('90), their only demo 'Official Rehearsal' ('90) as well as the impossible-to-find demo of the band's very 1st studio recording 'Haunted' under their previous monicker ETSICROXE as well as a 9-song live show, both from '89.
"This masterpiece comes with remastered sound and packed in a total old-fashioned layout in contrast to their latter weird & sophisticated designs. Includes killer 12-pages booklet featuring an exclusive retro-interview, liner notes, cover and tons of old photos & flyers. This definitely a must-have release not only for every Supuration fan, but for every lover of the good old death metal from late 80's and early 90's!"

Lifeforce Records has issued the following announcement about releasing Confession's "The Long Way Home" album:
"We are very happy to announce that Lifeforce Records is going to release the new album 'The Long Way Home' by Australia's Confession in Europe on February 6th, 2012.
"Confession, from the burgeoning depths of Melbourne's hardcore scene is a new and exciting enterprise bringing the mosh back to hardcore, and an encounter with the savage new five piece may just warrant forgiveness on a whole new level. For it's not without lashings of wraith that this vicious band have exploded onto the Australian music scene with their debut release 2008's 'Can't Live Can't Breathe.'
"Collectively this practiced crew of misfits boast experience in an array of some of Australia's finest hardcore bands including widely-adored yet now defunct I Killed the Prom Queen, thriving Melbourne act Carpathian, U.S. giants Bury Your Dead, Pro Team, and Byron Bay band 50 Lions. Add to this, notorious lead singer Michael Crafter's brief but tumultuous storming of the Big Brother 2008 House, and you'll find Confession's combined crowd-pulling power is second to none. Having participated in some of the most successful, most revered and even most controversial hardcore bands of the past five years, Confession's combined history is evident in their distinctly more mature sound."
Check out the new Confession song "Asthma Attack" in the player below.

"We are sorry towards the other bands on the tour, Enslaved and Alcest. And we are most of all tremendously sorry towards all of our fans.

Brazilian death metallers Krisiun are set to release "The Great Execution" on November 1st in North America. Century Media commented on the upcoming album:
"Krisiun only used analog gear and instruments while recording this album to avoid the compressed sound that so many musicians produce today. This wise decision resulted in a more organic sound, with the songs on 'The Great Execution' possessing both a warmth and a rawness that is so often lost through digital production. The low end is deeper, with drums that pound instead of bounce and guitar tones that sear rather than hiss."
"With our new record we managed to capture the sound and the vibe that we were always looking for," adds vocalist/bassist Alex Camargo. "Going back to Stage One Studio in Germany and working with Andy Classen again was the right choice. The album came out with a very distinctive and natural sound, shattering the boundaries of the style once more."
The cover artwork was created by Japanese artist Toshihiro Egawa and can be viewed below. "The Great Execution" will be available as a limited edition digipak including a re-recorded version of the Krisiun song "Black Force Domain" as a bonus track, plus as a 180g gatefold vinyl and as a digital download.

"We are thinking of doing a few Swedish dates within a couple of months (most likely a first re-union show in our hometown Trollhättan, this time in a proper club) and then focus on doing some kick-ass festivals in 2012." More...
Sweden's Sister has just released a music video, off the new album "Hated," for the track "The Unlucky Minority." Check out the video below.
Here's what the band had to say about the new video: "We filmed this video for The Unlucky Minority in one evening without any major plans really but with alotta sweat and beers instead! Keep it simple and keep the Sister approach to it all. This video represents us and just like the album, we've captured the raw and dirty feeling in it. This is a straight rock n' roll video with no fucking around. Just pure Sister. The video was shot and edited by independent film maker Jimmy Johansson (creator of Arkusan Martinsson, Brutt, Brunsås the movie) an 'old friend/drinking pal/roommate to the band' who has followed and hung out with the band since the beginning."

Sean Delson, the bass player for American heavy metal band Fozzy, has announced that he has decided to "retire" from the band in order to pursue other musical interests. A statement from Delson reads as follows:
"Hello good people!
"After nearly a decade of playing in Fozzy and enjoying the most fun you can pretty much legally have, I have decided to step down as the Bass Player for Fozzy and let some other lucky soul come in and live out their dreams. Playing in Fozzy has allowed me to achieve nearly 99% of all my musical aspirations. For that, I shall forever be eternally grateful to the band, and the team behind it. We have all played together in different bands throughout the years, and I have no doubt that somewhere down the road, at some point, we will share the stage again. A personal and heartfelt thanks goes out to Rich Ward, for always calling on me to play in every project that ever came his way, and for always believing in me. Thank you Rich.
"In the years prior to my work with Fozzy, The Duke, and Stuck Mojo, most of you know that I was in a band called Agent Cooper. It was actually playing with Agent Cooper that led me to joining Fozzy. Rich came out to a showcase we were playing, and, after the gig, asked me if I would help him record his debut solo album. For you trivia heads out there, Frank Fontsere was playing drums that night with us (and is also a long time member of the Agent Cooper Alumni). After many records, tours, and just plain living the dream… I started feeling a calling to finish something that I had started many years ago. So, along with Mike Martin, Eric Frampton (you know these guys from Stuck Mojo, The Duke, and Fozzy), Doug Busbee, and our new drummer Ganesh Giri Jaya… I hope to see you all on upcoming tours in a town near you! Van Halen announced that they have completed mixing their new album. This news jumped the Vegas line from 50-1 to a 10-1 shot of this album actually happening. It has been 27 years since the last David Lee Roth-Van Halen album. A lot has changed during this time, a few examples: In 1984 The Cosby show premiered along with “Cosby Sweaters”, it was also the year the AIDS virus was discovered. Apparently there is no connection between the two. It was also the year stonewashed jeans were introduced. Vanessa Williams was stripped (pun intended) of her Miss America crown when nude photos were discovered and Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire during the shooting of a Pepsi commercial. Apparently these events also had no connection to the discovery of AIDS, despite many remaining suspicious… More...
