Portland, Oregon Atrirach has completed work on a new full-length album titled “Ritual Of Passing," which is set for release on October 30th, 2012. Profound Lore Records comments:
"Following up the acclaimed 'Forever The End' debut from last year, Atriarch would slowly develop a strong distinct identity through an amalgamation of deathrock, classic ‘80s goth, doom and black metal respectively. An intriguing mix which would mirror the powerful aesthetic and vibe brought forth from such bands as Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure, Christian Death, The Gault, and Asunder.
"Through several years of trial, as the band would gradually develop and define their sound, 'Ritual Of Passing' (which also features a guest appearance by Jessica Way of Worm Ouroboros on the closing track) is the becoming result of this chaos-embracing culmination, the masterpiece the band have been threatening to create since their inception in 2009.
"A harrowing, religious sonic offering drenched and drowning in wall-of-sound-like atmosphere commanded by the sermon-like vocals of Lenny Smith. Bleak, haunting, oppressive, and violent 'Ritual Of Passing' will serve as one of the most intriguing and commanding albums of the year."
The album's track listing is:
7. Outro (Lucifer speaks with Death) More...

Murder Construct, the California death/grind act boasting an all-star line up of death metal and grindcore veterans including Travis Ryan (CATTLE DECAPITATION), Danny Walker (EXHUMED, INTRONAUT) and Leon Del Muerte (EXHUMED, IMPALED), recently released its debut full-length album, entitled "Results." You can stream the entire album below via bandcamp.
But Metalunderground.com can now present the exclusive premiere of another track from the "Results" recording sessions that's not on the album. The track is alled "Murder Construct" and Guitarist Leon Del Muerte commented on it:
The song is two riffs we put together literally just days before we started tracking. More of a companion piece than an album track, and definitely the slowest thing we've recorded. The only song that doesn't contain a blast beat. Or even a d-beat, for that matter. Kevin put together the samples in a relatively short amount of time and boom, a small ode to Autopsy is born.
You can hear "Murder Construct" below.
Here's the tracklisting for "Results":
1. Red All Over
2. Under the Weight of the Wood
3. No Question, No Comment
4. Gold Digger
5. Compelled by Mediocrity
6. The Next Life
7. Dead Hope
8. Feign Ignorance
9. Mercy, Mercy

Inverse Records also commented, "Saint of Disgrace is a melodic death-metal band formed in 2009. Saint of Disgrace has reached it’s current form during the past year, adding almost progressive nuances to their straightforward melodic death-metal set. The best qualities of the band are their 'Beauty and the Beast' style of singing, switching between beautiful, clean female vocals and brutal death-metal growls in relation to their straightforward and powerful style of melodic death-metal." After the band's van caught fire while on tour earlier this week, Decrepit Birth has now issued the following statement about having equipment and personal items stolen from the replacement rental van:
"More bad energy has come to us in the form of a theft last night night in San Francisco. Our rental van had the side window broken out and all of our personal bags with cash, laptop computers, cell phones, passports, and id's were stolen.
"This was a major blow to go along with our van catching on fire in Canada and having to leave it there to be junked. At this point we will have to regretfully drop from the last few days of tour. The costs are overwhelming at this point, and to continue on would dig an even deeper hole of debt for the band, which we can't afford.
"We had a great time touring with our brothers in Obituary, Broken Hope, Jungle Rot, and Encrust. These bands were beyond awesome to us during the past week of issues we've gone through.
"Thanks to all the fans for coming out and making this such a great tour aside from the bullshit. We gave it our all every night for you, our fans. We're down but not out....
"If you feel like donating to our new van fund, you can send your donation via Paypal to email@example.com. We really appreciate that our fans have reached out to us and offered to help, you guys are the best!" More...
