Eye Of Solitude, UK's orchestral funeral doom finest (featuring members of Unfathomable Ruination and Kaotoxin Records label-mates Sidious), which released its successful and critically-acclaimed second full-length "Sui Caedere" in June 2012 through Kaotoxin, has returned with a monolith of heaviness entitled "Canto III." A video teaser for "Canto III" has been posted below.
The album, lyrically-based on Dante's Inferno and featuring six tracks for a total duration of over 66 minutes, is by far the most intense and heavy, yet diverse material the band has ever released, topped by the inhuman low growls of EOS mastermind Daniel Neagoe and the contributions of violinist Casper and vocalist Anton, both from Russia's Dominia.
"Canto III is the most mature material we've worked on," comments Neagoe. "Its elements vary from pure agonizing and suffocatingly depressive moments, to a burst of rage and blast beats invoking quite a Black Metal environment. It's a development for sure due to the new line-up and its input on the songs and, with guests from Dominia -Anton on vocals and Casper on violin- we have included even more atmosphere and variety. It is for sure, our peak of creativity and musicianship!"
Coming as a limited edition (1,000 hand-numbered copies) double DigiFile CD, the first pressing features no less than six bonus tracks taken from the band's 2011 untitled promo (later digitally released by Kaotoxin as the "Awoken by Crows" EP) and "The Deceit" digital EP for a total of nearly 39 minutes of additional material.
With stunning artwork by Mortal Torment's own Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art (responsible for the "Sui Caedere" artwork), "Canto III" will be released on November 25th in France (Season Of Mist), UK (Code7) and through the label's mailorder for international territories and December 3rd in the BeNeLux (Rock Inc.), North America (MVD) and through all major digital retailers.
Pre-order opportunities, including exclusive merch packs, will start on October 28th. The US release will mark the first time ever that "Sui Caedere," re-pressed for this occasion, will hit North America retail stores and mail order distros.
Death metal pioneers Master and German label FDA Rekotz have joined forces for the exclusive world premier of the band's landmark 12th release, "The Witchhunt." The album features 11 brand new tracks of classic death metal and will be available worldwide through FDA Rekotz on September 27th, but you can experience the devastation early with an upload of the track "The Parable" below.

FDA Rekotz and Master are also offering an 'Ultimate Fan Package' that includes the album on CD and vinyl, a Master t-shirt, patch and sticker and a copy of "Speckmann - Underground Survivor - The Pictoral," a limited edition, 196-page book featuring pictures and stories from MASTER founder and death metal pioneer Paul Speckmann.
Underground death metal gurus Mortal Decay have finally returned since 2005's "Cadaver Art." After signing to Comatose Music earlier this year, the band entered the studio to record what would become their long-awaited fourth studio full-length, "The Blueprint for Blood Spatter."
Set to be unleashed on November 26th, Mortal Decay and Comatose Music have teamed with GunShyAssassin.com for the exclusive world premier of album track "Jugular Gurgle." Check it out at this location. A promo video for "The Blueprint for Blood Spatter" is now playing below. Here is what Mortal Decay says about the new album:
"In believing that this is our most solid material to date, and that we are individually at our best, it can be summed as a definitive collection of songs. Ranging through every era of the band, and including newer experiments, our collective energy and creativity was reborn and still exploding at a level beyond what we could have imagined. True Mortal Decay fans will get a taste of all levels of our musical direction at its finest."
Following good reviews for the new Monsterworks epic "Earth," the band is releasing a bonus track for free download to compliment the digital release. The track "Vaporized" is available here for streaming and download at this location.
Vocalist/Guitarist Jon says: "This track is essential for completion of the timeline of the album because whereas the rest of the songs are about the birth and development of our planet, this one is about the end of the world....when it is expected that the Sun will expand to a red giant in a few billion years and 'vaporize' the Earth.
But that is a long way away....so in the meantime, have a nice day. Despite the grim subject matter it is a bit of a fun song using a riff we used to joke around with in the jam room at least ten years ago. It sounds like Celtic Death-Techno."
"Earth" is available through all the usual digital outlets and with a digipak CD signed/numbered edition with lyric book (and two bonus tracks) available direct from the band via its webstore. A set of visuals to accompany the title track of the album is posted below.

The cover artwork was created by by Chilean/Italian digital artist/photographer Claudio Bergamin, who has previously worked with Halford, Arjen Lucassen, Criminal, and more.
"Under Destruction" was recorded at Green Bird studios in Fresno, California with remote supervision of Chilean producer Javier Bassino (Estudios Bassino). Javier engineered, mixed, and mastered the CD, which marks Alvelais' recording debut with the band.

Betoken has now revealed the cover artwork for "Beyond Redemption," which was created by Gigi Cavenago and can be viewed below. The band comments:
"Gigi Cavenago is the cartoonist from Bonelli, with whom he realized several comic books including the upcoming 'Orfani' (orphans), the first miniseries by Bonelli printed in full-color.
"Gigi immediately tuned in with the spirit of the concept inspired by the tragic Marlowe's Faustus, and the atmosphere he manage to evoke with his drawings enriches the 'Beyond Redemption' record. The cover represents Faustus yearning for absolute knowledge, regardless of Mephistopheles, who longs for his soul." More...
