The Last Felony's Seb Painchaud took some time to discuss the new album with me and how the band has progressed since 2008's "Aeon of Suffering." "On the first album you’ve got one or two or maybe three songs at the most that really what The Last Felony should sound like. On the new album we found our sound and knew what we wanted it to sound like. It’s really 100% The Last Felony," commented Painchaud. From there he went on to discuss the recording of the album, the band's signing to Lifeforce, and more. More...

“We tend to think, if it ain't broke don't try and fix it,” notes guitarist / vocalist Roddy Stone about the band’s straight-forward heavy metal anthems. “We like to think back to the day when men were men, and amps where amps. New Jersery's Ender has issued the following statement regarding the band's September 3rd show in Allenstown being canceled:
"NHBOOKING booked us for 9/3/10 at Ground Zero in Allenstown, NH. We were informed we would have to omit the profanity from our lyrics we would perform live, and we were completely fine with this. Today, NHBOOKING asked that I email the venue manager, Christian, the lyrics and to assure him we would completely comply with his rule of taking the profanity out, because we just want to have a great show and have a good time. After several emails back and forth, Christian makes the decision of kicking us off the bill last minute for tomorrows show.
"'Danny, i am sorry to say that even with the editing out of the profanity, the overall content of your message / lyrics is not what we promoter here at Ground Zero. i know life is not all peaches & creme, believe me , but we do not book bands that promote violence, hate, revenge, killing, etc.... i have copied this to Richie as well. if i had gotten these lyrics much sooner, i could have gotten back to you sooner so that you could have made plans to play elsewhere at some bar or hall that doesn't care about the same things we do. sorry this is so last min. and sorry we could not work together. christian.' ----was the email I got from him.
"This is completely unprofessional of him to do. We are all ready to come up and play for so many kids who wanted to see us out in NH. In no way is this negative for NHBOOKING as they have been nothing but helpful to us. We are sorry that we wont be able to play, but we have a show on Saturday in Worcester, MA. Were sorry."

Destroyer 666 has checked in with the following recap of the band's recent tour dates:
"Said and Done. What to say now, back home, battered, bruised and stewed. The tail end of the tour was just fucking incredible. Great crowds wherever we landed. I think Montreal must get special mention, I know there were a bunch of Quebeccans there too, but one hell of a fucking crowd. For me personally one of the best Ive ever experienced. And yet another special thanks to the owner there, she treated us very well indeed, and was most patient with my repeated drunken disregard for rules n regulations. Again sorry mate. Your a bloody champ.
"We again got to work with our good friend Jon for a show in Rhode Island which, as last year did not disappoint at all. Cheers Jon. NYC, well, this pack have always been good to us, and being the final show of the tour it was a fitting end. Mad, Loud and wild wolves one n all. I'd like to give special thanks to the woman who set that up for us and looked after us so well. I've forgotten ya name sorry mate.
"Our friend Tomas took us out for an after party the end of which I have no recollection of. My apologies to anyone unfortunate enough to have born the brunt of what apparently was horrible ending in fire. This tour was undoubtedly our best in terms of the support of the die-hard fans. It was also a great learning curve in terms of what to expect form the so called professionals who milk the scene for their own profit and treat bands like shit. But more on that later. More...

Great shows, great memories. Now, we are looking forward to meet again our friends in the United States, Canada and Mexico! The North American tour will start in a of couple days."
Megadeth's Shawn Drover has checked in with the following recap of the band's recent show at the Cow Palace:
"Well, last night was fun. Lars asked us to play 'My last words' 2 minutes before we went onstage - and being as we have never even rehearsed that tune with this lineup and Megadeth hasn't played that tune since 2005 in the land of OZ, I think we pulled it off rather well. Don't worry though, next time Metallica comes to where I live, I will return the favor and ask them DURING their show to play the most obscure tune they haven't played in years! Baaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa
"All kidding aside, that was actually really fun to just wing it and enjoy the moment. I hope the crowd did enjoy it as well. As you would fathom for San Fran, lots of musicians backstage and mingling to be had. All fun stuff and a good night was had by all. Life doesn't suck, humans. I am more Metal than you."

Moonsorrow has issued the following announcement about entering the studio to record a new album:
"On Thor's day, September 2nd, Moonsorrow will finally enter the studio to record their next full length album! We have been working on the new material throughout the summer, and despite the extremely hot weather we've had in Finland, none of it is present in the atmosphere of the new songs. This stuff is Cold, Heavy and Crushing.
"Lyrically we're dealing with life after the end of the world, so there is no light at the end of that tunnel either. The album will be recorded in various studios around Finland and it will be released in late February 2011. Check out the studio diary for daily - or almost daily - updating at this location."

Australia's Astral Winter has issued the following update about working on a new album:
"I come with another update, for those still following. The album will unfortunately be pushed back again. I'm going to be realistic and say either end of the year or beginning of next year. I can't think of any foreseeable reasons why it would take any longer then that. So that should be the expected time for the release.
"Now to the next issue. The way things are going I (Josh) will now be doing vocals for the entire album. With Phil living in QLD and contact being very minimal this is really my only option. I've recorded vocals to the album version of Illustrations Of Death and showed that to some close friends who all praised the vocals on it, so hopefully they can live up to expectation. I'll probably post a sample of my vocals for that track if there's enough interest for it. As for the progress of the album itself, all that really remains is to record a few solos to some tracks, and 1 entire track is still left to be recorded, then all the vocal recordings for those 5 tracks. I can't see this taking too much longer to complete as most of the hard work in recording is over.
"I do apologize for all the delays in releasing this album, just unexpected things keep happening, and I now work alot more frequently then I did before. I thank you all for your continued support in Astral Winter! I've added a short vocal sample to Illustrations Of Death Hails." More...
