Stray From The Path has issued the following statement about having the Reno stop of the All Stars Tour cut short:
"I'm sorry Reno for our set getting cut short. We will not tolerate security guards choking out kids for singing along , and we had to stand up for our fans. We will not tolerate our crew member getting punched in the face by security. We do what we do for the kids, and nothing else. In the end we were thrown out of the venue for 'inciting a riot.'
"Nobody should be treated the way that kid was treated. That's someone's son, brother, or best friend. He was going off for our band and was assaulted.
"Don't stand for this at your shows. This is about you, us and music, not power tripping security guards."

Today, Svart Records announces August 24th as the worldwide release date for Bedemon's "Symphony of Shadows." The U.K. release date will be September 3rd, while a special North American release date for later in the fall is expected to be announced soon. The following press release was issued about the band:
"Inspired by the goriest of fright films and the most menacing of music at the time, guitarist/composer/journalist/author Randy Palmer churned out the very first doom songs written on North American soil. This understated innovator recruited the help of his bandmates, Pentagram co-founders Geof O’Keefe (drums) and Bobby Liebling (vocals) as well as schoolmate Mike Matthews (bass). Throughout the 1970s, the band recorded numerous sinister, doom-drenched slabs of metallic gold — Black Sabbath were Palmer’s idols — that illegally floated around on sub-standard bootlegs for decades. Finally, in 2004 to much fanfare, these rough, never-intended-for-public recordings were collected, repaired, and released as Child of Darkness: From the Original Master Tapes.
"Since then, Bedemon has seen a surge in popularity due to their intertwined history with the original Pentagram, in addition to their music being featured in the critically acclaimed award-winning documentary, Last Days Here (Sundance Selects/914 Pictures), chronicling the life and times of Pentagram and original Bedemon vocalist Bobby Liebling.
"Literally a decade in the making, Bedemon now proudly issues their sophomore release, Symphony of Shadows. Shortly after completing recording of the basic rhythm tracks in April 2002, band founder Randy Palmer was involved in a tragic car accident and passed away in August of that year. O’Keefe, Matthews, and new vocalist Craig Junghandel worked with recording engineer Shawn Hafley over the next decade to finish the project both in tribute to Randy and also because they felt so passionately about the strength of the material; the result is nine bone-crushingly heavy slices of pure '70s-flavored doom metal. After another session copulating into existence a new batch of scathing buzzsaw riffery, Portland’s Rabbits has completed some new noise. "Bites Rites" will invade the human population in the final days of Summer 2012, a release guaranteed to scurry more shit into your life than the loved/loathed 2011-released Relapse Records debut "Lower Forms." The following press release was issued about the band:
"Rabbits’ latest intoxicated orgy of adrenalized lagomorphic chaos will see release this September via a recent infestation of Good To Die Records. On Bites Rites this obligate nasal-breathing collective of rhythm morticians -- drummer KG and guitarists/vocalists Sethro and Booze -- ravenously gnaw through nine tracks, including demented covers of Spacemen 3's '2:35' and Husker Du's 'What's Going On.' Yes, a Butthole Surfers, Melvins, Unsane or Buzzov*en reference may scuttle forth during the sonic bombardment of Bites Rites, yet a thoroughbred uniqueness abounds within each segment. Bites Rites was recorded and mixed by Fester at Haywire Studios, Portland, (Wizard Rifle, Atriarch, Nux Vomica) and mastered by Ryan Foster at Foster Mastering, Portland (Agalloch, Muslimgauze, Fishbone), with cover art by Sacramento artist Skinner (author of Every Man Is My Enemy) and drawings and titles by Portland artist Kevin Abell (co-editor of Nudity in Groups). Bites Rites will be released on 180-gram LP with included digital download delivery via Good To Die Records on September 18th."
Experience the fifth "Bites Rites" track "Meth Valley 99," where Rabbits joins a mess of other Good To Die artists via a digital comp the label recently released, right here.
The album's track listing is:
a1. We and Zoo

Primitive Graven Image is pleased to finally be able to announce the full details on an upcoming third album. Entitled "Psychededlic Episodes - Observations on Death and Deathlessness," the follow up to 2010's "Celebrating Impending Chaos" is once again produced by Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, Evile), with artwork from Darkwave Art, and is another loosely themed concept album - this time based around psychedelic experiences of the physical, spiritual, and emotional kind. The band comments:
"We took war as a big theme for Celebrating Impending Chaos (2010), but there was also a more cosmic theme running throughout the album as well, on tracks like 'Kings Of Infinite Space' for example - and that's what we've decided to run with this time round. We've decided to look into the mirror instead and into our own psyches. After all, the outside world is surely only a reflection of what is inside? This album is about getting closer to the source of all this stuff, which is where the real horrors lie. It's an interesting and fresh concept to play with but still lends itself very well to twisting into a black metal framework. The concept has lead to our most structured and focussed lyrics to date and the album has become a weird journey through man's struggle with his gods, his mortality and his brief but often chaotic life here on this mysterious rock. Musically we have stuck to the black metal feel that we know and love and in some cases this shines through even more than on our last album.
"We've also brought in a very healthy dose of death and thrash metal influenced sections and the psychedelic and progressive elements we started to play with on Chaos have made a big return. We have included some truly experimental moments with some elongated prog-out sections and wonderful analog keyboard sounds.” More...
