Florida act Dark Sermon has released a new music video for the track "In Tongues," which is the title track off the band's upcoming new album. Check out the video clip below, or find more info on Dark Sermon via Facebook here. The band also issued the following bio:
"Dark Sermon was formed in early 2009 under the name 'In Reference to a Sinking Ship,' and has since made their mark on the Florida scene as well as that of the entire east coast. Dark Sermon uses their fast, thrashy riffs, bone-crushing blast beats, and aggressive, throaty vocals to bring something fresh and new to the table. Putting a creative twist on their genre, Dark Sermon provides a unique and heavy-hitting sound that will make any metalhead or hardcore kid do a double take."
Canadian black/death metal act Auroch has been on a whirlwind ride these last few months, wrapping up the Canadian Abomination Tour, getting signed to a label, and now gearing up for the official release of debut full-length album "From Forgotten Worlds."
Amidst all the momentum, I got in touch with Auroch's Sebastian Montesi to see what he had to say about the band's recent success, as well as to discuss the dark cosmic horror at the center of the group's music. In the full interview below you can find Seb's thoughts on translating the Cthulhu mythos into musical expression, the best representation of the mythos in movies and games, and the band's excitement to begin touring internationally. The San Antonio blackened death metal miscreants in HOD are putting the final touches on their upcoming new full-length. Titled "Book Of The Worm," the follow-up to 2009’s "Serpent" features nine tracks of molten metal riffs and sonic decay.
Comments vocalist Vladibeer Reebs: “With Serpent, we were five guys with some ideas. Now we're a cohesive unit with an agenda. You can feel the energy, hate, and anger in the tracks on Book Of The Worm. In the end, whether it's Serpent, Book of the Worm, or any future album, it's all gonna be Fuckin' Metal! That's all we know. That's all we do. That's all we are.”
The band, which is currently seeking a proper label home, recently posted some new music in the form of “Awakening Blasphemous Abominations.” Taste the evil right here.
In the meantime, HOD will bring apocalyptic hymnals to the stage for a short run of rituals beginning September 7th along with Vektor (and others) in San Antonio. Later that month, HOD will play the Building Temples From Death Fest II in Houston featuring an unholy lineup of Disgorge, Putrid Pile, Dehumanized, Embalmer and over a dozen more. In October, the band will open for Skeletonwitch in San Antonio before embarking on a five-date road trip with Canadian black metal horde, Panzerfaust.

Black Market Activities today proudly announces the October 23rd release of "Danza IIII: The Alpha - The Omega," the fourth and reportedly final album by The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza. Black Market Activities commented:
"Singled out early on by Alternative Press Magazine as 'one of the underground's fiercest live acts,' The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza cut its teeth in the mid-00's, touring with the likes of The Acacia Strain, Despised Icon, Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, and Suicide Silence. With a rep for dazzling chops and planet-smashing heaviness, balanced by a healthy sense of humor, the Tennessee band released three albums - 2005's self-titled debut, 2007's Danza II: Electric Boogaloo, and 2010's Danza III: The Series of Unfortunate Events - honing a style that would help pave the way for countless younger bands.
"For the fourth and final album, Danza IIII (think tally marks, not Roman numerals), we find a stripped-down Danza, consisting solely of core members Jessie Freeland and Josh Travis. With Freeland manning the vocals as always, this time with even more vitriol than ever, the virtuoso Travis is responsible for all other instrumentation on the album. The result: the most musical and bloodlettingly honest work ever to bear the Danza name. With a decade-long legacy behind them, Freeland and Travis have delivered what will serve as an incredible last will and testament for their band." More...
Born of Chaos Records has issued the following statement about a bomb threat being called in prior to the label's showcase last night:
"As many of you may or may not know, there was a bomb threat sent in to the police, the news and the Trocadero in Philly last night prior to our Born of Chaos Records label showcase at the historic venue. While the police and F.B.I. determined that it was a hoax after sweeping the building with dogs, the e-mail itself was rather threatening.
"I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to our show last night to show their support, all of the bands who still played in light of the threat as well as the extra time it took to search everyone’s gear and person more thoroughly before getting in, the staff of the Trocadero who were absolutely amazing as well as the Philadelphia Police Department and the F.B.I. who did a wonderful job searching the building and allowing the show to continue with very minimal delays. In this day and age threats like this cannot be taken lightly.
"To our friends who opted to stay home because of this threat, much respect to you as well for ensuring your own safety, we’ll catch ya at another gig down the line. At Born of Chaos Records we believe in the family aspect of heavy metal and the true (and not just spoken) support of our metal scene. While we have had to reject bands from being on the label, that is the nature of the beast (hey we’re still new and completely self financed) we support bands from all over and even put entire tours together with complete line-ups of non-label bands that don’t yield us a cent, just to help others in the metal scene get added exposure.
"I just hope that is does not turn out to be someone in our scene that is trying to fuck up what a group of people are dedicating their lives to succeed in. We are aiming for the top, but we want everyone to come with us."
A news story about the bomb threat can also be read over at Philly.com here.
Axis of Metal, Horror Pain Gore Death Productions and USBM nihilists Shadows In The Crypt have teamed up to deliver the four minutes of blasphemy that is "As Shadows Cover," from the band's latest release, "Cryptic Communications." In a recent "Debunktion Junction" video clip covering claims about Tampa, Florida during the Republican National Convention, liberal political commentator Rachel Maddow discusses the city's status as a famous death metal gathering place.

Moloch, guitar player of Melechesh, recently took part in a cooking show on iFood.TV. You can check out the video over at this location.
Commented Moloch: "You end up doing many weird things when you play in a metal band, and being part of a cooking show is definitively one of them. In any case, I decided to go for it because I enjoy cooking, and the show was being filmed in Richmond, which is pretty close to where I live.
"The dish I prepared (msakhan) is a typical near-eastern dish, but my recipe is a user-friendly version. Is it metal? I don't know. Does it taste good? Fuck yes!"
Melechesh will also be headed out for a North American tour this coming October with Septicflesh and Ex Deo. Details are available right here.

Black Country Communion, the Anglo-American rock group comprising vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze), drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner), Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol) and blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa, will release third album "Afterglow" via Mascot Records on Monday, October 29th. The following press release was issued about the album:
"Like its two predecessors, ‘Afterglow’ was produced by Kevin Shirley, whose catalogue of hit records for Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith and the Black Crowes has made him the hottest producer that rock music has to offer. Shirley – who had the idea of putting Hughes and Bonamassa together in a band after seeing them jam onstage back in 2009 – is the group’s unofficial ‘fifth member’.
"The additions of Jason Bonham, esteemed son of Led Zeppelin’s John, who took his father’s place when the legendary group made musical history by reuniting at London’s O2 Arena in December 2007, and the in-demand Derek Sherinian, makes BCC a force to be reckoned with.
"Both BCC’s previous offerings (2010’s eponymous debut album and 2011’s '2) have gone straight in at #1 on the official UK Rock Album Chart. Embraced by the UK’s music press, Black Country Communion were voted “Best New Band” by the listeners of Planet Rock Radio and won 'Best Breakthrough' at the prestigious Classic Rock Magazine Roll Of Honour Awards in 2011." "Both guitars and drums seem to be composed by the same mind, they seem to complete and reinforce each other. I couldn't be more proud for what we created together this time around."

"Meanwhile, we'll keep smashing stages around Italy and (hopefully) Europe, the list will be constantly updated during next days so don't forget to keep your open on this page.
