They are great friends and absolutely slay it live so we cant wait to party with them. Philadelphia's With Life In Mind has checked in with the following announcement about calling it quits:
"Hi all. Josh here. It’s been a while since we’ve updated anyone so I wanted to take the time to do that now. Over the past few years this band has allowed us to experience things we never would have thought possible, see places we had only hoped to see, and make some of the most amazing friendships we could ask for. Unfortunately, for myself and the rest of the guys, our time in WLIM has come to an end.
"Any and every reason for this would be a waste of time to go into detail about. The story is never new, no one is ever surprised. So, I’ll keep them brief and to the point. It has been a revolving door of members since 2009, making it very difficult to move forward with a lot of things. Money has never been something this band was blessed with, which can halt progress altogether. It came to a point where the remaining few of us could no longer pour what little money we had into what great amount we needed to get us to the next step. There really isn’t much more to it than that. More...

New York avant-garde progressive metal band Castevet has completed work on new album "Obsian," the follow-up to the "Mounds Of Ash" debut. The album will see release on October 15th via Profound Lore. The label comments:
"With 'Obsian' Castevet (who now feature Krallice bassist/vocalist Nicholas McMaster amongst the triarchy) have crafted a more-dense, immense, and layered album than its predecessor, an album which defines a new paradigm in dissonant blackened progressive metal dementia.
"With layered rhythmic uneasiness and meticulously constructed musical counterpoint serving its purpose as a crawling hateful offering unlike anything you’ll hear within metal this year, 'Obsian' is the vision of three of artistically fervent musicians who sonically portray a morally impaired and devastating scenario of inevitable ruin and downfall."

"Formed by members of Kill the Client, Baring Teeth, and Tyrannosorceress, Cleric fuses their old-school death metal aggressive tendencies here into a relentless attack, which their Gratum Inferno LP attempts to capture in full-force.

"The platter is being pressed on 200-gram, translucent yellow wax with blood red and milky clear splatter and features heavyweight spot-varnish printed jackets, gold foil-stamped inner-sleeve graphics, was mastered at 45rpm for superior sound quality, and bears insane cover art was masterminded by Jason Barnett (Noothgrush, etc.). Indie Recordings has checked in with the following announcement about the release of "Unravel" from Gehenna this coming October 14th:
"It's finally here - 'Unravel!' Having kept us waiting since their 2005 release of 'WW,' 'Unravel' is Gehenna’s latest addition to the Norwegian black metal experience.
"It carries the spirit from WW, and twists it to confront a more post-apocalyptic era – rather than the ragnarok of the bourgeoise, the individual, and the failings of western society – Gehenna faces 21st century existence head on. There is no remorse, no compromise – there is only perfect hate.
"Gehenna was formed in 1993, and were part of the 2nd wave of Norwegian black metal. They recorded their Black Seared Heart demo in May of that year, and soon caught a lot of attention in the underground. Two of the tracks from this demo were released as a 7” vinyl titled Ancestors of the Darkly Sky shortly after.
"Gehenna also caught the attention of Metalion of the legendary Slayer Mag, and penned a deal with him to release the mini-album First Spell on his label Head Not Found in 1994. After First Spell, Gehenna signed with London-based Cacophonous Records (also early Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir), and released Seen through the Veils of Darkness (1995) and Malice (1996) on this label.
"Following the tour in 1996, new label negotiations took place, and Gehenna penned a deal with Moonfog Productions (also Darkthrone, Satyricon) for their next albums Adimiron Black ((1998), Murder (2000) and WW (2005). These three albums have later been re-released on Peaceville Records. In 2008 Gehenna signed with Indie Recordings, and released an upgraded version ofFirst spell in 2009." More...
