Krieg's "Transient" - a tale of being a stranger in your own mind with no place to call home told through the genre of black metal - is coming out on September 2nd via Candlelight Records (reviewed here).
Both an intensely personal story and a collaboration of creativity with newly recruited members, band mastermind Neill Jameson got in touch with us at Metalunderground.com to explain the process behind the album and what's going on with the lyrical themes and cover art.

Every week we check in with musicians from across the rock and metal scene to get their most memorable Pit Stories.
This week, guitarist David Mena Ferrer from U.K. outfit In Search Of Sun shares a story of a band that frequently makes the top of anyone's favorite pit list: Slayer! David had this to say:
Well it has to be none other than SLAYER!!!!!! June 9th, 2007 to be exact. It was my second Download Festival ever and the weather was immaculate for a change, the sun was blazing and we sank warm beer after warm beer. My friends and I were positioned left of the main stage, chilled down at the little hill (you know the one), and watching the masses of beautiful festival freaks stumble past us, already half cut, all eagerly awaiting the coming of the mighty Slayer to blow our fucking brains out!
I even remember seeing a dude dressed in a burglar costume eating a crab that day…wherever the Christ he got that from I don’t know! But anyway, the time was finally upon us so we decided to get our asses up and get closer to the action. Maybe a bit too close perhaps…More...

Acheron has checked in with the following announcement about lineup changes:
"Since the release of the album 'Kult Des Hasses' on Listenable Records the band has gone through some changes which have made them a much more lethal force. Vincent Crowley and Art Taylor has welcomed back guitarist Shaun Cothron to the unholy fold. Cothron played with Acheron from 2011 – 2013 and also played on the 2-song demo that got the band signed.
"After the departure of their long time drummer, Acheron has hired young skin basher Brandon Howe to cover the duties for all live shows. The band is testing the waters with Howe to possibly be a new member in Acheron."
Band founder Vincent Crowley aslo states: “I am very pleased to be playing with Shaun once again. He’s easy to get along with and a killer player. It will be great to have both Art Taylor and Shaun Cothron shredding together. As for Brandon Howe, he’s a kick ass drummer and he is hungry to play music. That is what we need right now. This is the first time in many years that Acheron is feeling like an actual band, not just some project. I think everyone involved is very much into the new energy we have invoked. And we are finally ready to start promoting our latest album Kult Des Hasses on stage!”
Acheorn is now starting to confirm new shows, which include Columbus, Ohio on November 29th and Indianapolis, Indiana on December 12th. More dates and details of live shows will be posted in the near future. More...

On the 1st of September, Siberian will release "Modern Age Mausoleum" via Swedish label Gaphals. The label comments:
"The 40 minute long, 9 track debut album holds both a Swedish rawness and a progressive mysticism that leads to an abyssal depth of eternal gloominess. Using a metallic edge the band transforms a cold Swedish heritage of rage and frustration to an outburst over both society and mankind. Siberian will leave its mark in Europe in September during a 13 day long tour.
"The album was recorded at Studio Underjord Norrköping Sweden. Engineered and mixed by Joona Hassinen and mastered by Niels Nielsen from Dead Soul. Hassinen has previously worked with Vanhelgd, Ocean Chief and Year of the Goat. The artwork is hand painted by Mattias Frisk who has previously worked with Ghost B.C, Maim and Night.
"In relation to the release the band will change their name to Siberian. The quartet earlier went by the name Shrine but chooses to change it due to other bands with similar names. Under the former name the band released an EP through German record label Moment of Collapse Records, toured Germany and shared stage with bands such as Entombed, Orange Goblin, Downfall of Gaia and Skraeckoedlan." Downfall of Gaia just finished the recordings for new album "Aeon Unveils the Thrones of Decay," due to be released in the Fall of 2014.
Downfall of Gaia comments: "All of us are pretty satisfied with the result of the new record and we are excited to share this new piece of music with the audience! The writing process itself became a bit more complex just because of the fact that our new drummer Michael Kadnar is living in New York and all of us are based in Germany. But in the end we were able to manage all of this in a good way, hit the studio and recorded our most aggressive sounding record till today.
"Once again we recorded at the '79 Sound Studio with Christoph Scheidel and we couldn't ask for a better guy! Mixing job one more time by Jack Shirley from Atomic Garden and master by Brad Boatright from Audiosiege. Anytime again, guys!
"The recording itself went pretty smooth just besides the annoying fact that all of us became pretty sick in the last few days of the studio and right before our European tour with Toxic Holocaust and Black Tusk, sitting there with a cold, fever and hardly able to talk, everything went just as planned! Definitely a funny pic to see! But for now we are happy to be done with the studio and can't wait to play the new material live!"

Today, black thrashing Greek cult Principality of Hell streams debut album, "Fire & Brimstone," in full. Check it out below or pick up your copy at the W.T.C. Productions Bandcamp page. The record label also comments:
"Burning with power from Hell and emitting sacrilegious smoke, Fire & Brimstone is an album that has one - and ONLY one - aim: to revive the old black/thrash spirit of the early/mid '80s, when legends like Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Sodom, and Voivod stalked the earth. On paper, it sounds like an idea that's been wrung dry, but it's an idea that takes on especial gravitas coming from black metal scene veterans - namely Greece's legendary The Magus, who's wielded wide influence upon the black metal scene since the early '90s with Necromantia and Thou Art Lord.
"Joining him in Principality of Hell are fellow conspirators El (Soulskinner, Thou Art Lord) and J. Maelstrom (Ravencult, Thou Art Lord), and together they create a rowdy, galloping ride through blackthrash's darkest past. And yet, each song (including a classic early Exodus cover on the CD version, and a cover of Slayer's 'Tormentor' on the vinyl version) remains varied from the next, with each deadly strike lodging immediately within the cranium."
The track listing is as follows:
1. Fire & Brimstone

6. The Witches’ Coven
7. Hellfire Legions
