Danko Jones is happy to announce the release of the group's first official live album exclusively through Spotify. Listen to "Live At Gröna Lund" at Spotify here. The following press release was also issued:
"With close to 20 years of touring experience and a reputation as one of the best live bands in the world it would have been wrong not to at least try and capture the energy of the Danko Jones live show on tape with the recording taken from their only show in Europe this year – at the legendary Gröna Lund amusement park in Stockholm, Sweden on May 16th. Their relation to Sweden has always been a special one and has resulted in countless shows, two gold singles and top ten album chart positions, so for this show to be the pick for a live album seems only natural.
"The album contains 20 tracks of classic songs from their live repertoire and ends with 'Bring On The Mountain' – a song everyone who has ever attended a Danko JOnes concert will be familiar with – that is now being made available as a recording for the very first time.
"The band is currently finishing up a new studio album and will do a string of festival dates in Canada this fall along with an exclusive U.S. show at Motörhead’s Motörboat along with Megadeth, Anthrax and of course the hosts themselves!"

At long last, after 11 years defiling the underground, Canada's Necroholocaust delivers debut album, "Holocaustic Goat Metal," due out via Iron Bonehead on September 29th, 2014. The label also comments:
"One of Canada's best-kept secrets, Necroholocaust honor their country's venerable tradition of blackgrinding ultra-violence, as established by gods of war Blasphemy and Conqueror, as well as other foundational bands like Archgoat and Germany's Blood. Uniquely, Necroholocaust began as a studio-only project that utilized a primitive, pulsing drum-machine.
"As years went on, the band developed into a commanding live force, and further developed their barbaric onslaught across splits with Blasphemophagher, Deiphago, Obeisance, Baphomets Horns, Godslaying Hellblast, Manticore, and Satanik Goat Ritual among others. Here, on the tellingly titled Holocaustic Goat Metal, Necroholocausthave delivered their most gutsfucking, OTT material to date - literally, 'Holocaustic Goat Metal' that's neither strictly black metal, grindcore, nor death metal - and seal its fate with a powerful 'n' punishing production. Whether inciting violence and bloodshed or establishing a ritualistic trance, you will be possessed by Holocaustic Goat Metal."
The track listing is as follows:
1. Rise Of Antichrist (Victory Command)
3. Altar Of Plagues
4. Slaughter The Lamb
5. Defile The House Of God
6. Deathraid Of Intolerance
1. Inverted Christ

Unstoppable extreme metal machine Hate has begun mixing a monstrous new album entitled "Crusade:Zero" at Hertz Studio, Poland.
The album contains nine new tracks and should be released at the end of this year via Napalm Records. "Crusade:Zero" follows previous album "Solarflesh" (reviewed here) and will be the band's first release since the death of bassist Moritifer.
Hate mainman Atf Sinner also issued the following update from the studio: "Hey everybody! We want you to know that a big step in the progress of producing 'Crusade:Zero' is done. We are happy to announce that all recordings are finished and we are in the mixing phase now.
"It all sounds extremely heavy and organic. Recently we have done a lot of work on samples with our co-producer Michal Staczkun getting every arrangement to the highest audio potential! We also had one guest appearance on the album by Filip Halucha (on the pic) known as a member of Vesania, Black River, Rootwater and ex-member of Decapitated, who recorded bass in eight of the songs. I must say we are truly glad to have him on this record!"

Sacrilege Records is proud to present Woodtemple's fifth album, "Forgotten Pride," set for international release on September 30th. The label comments:
"Hailing from Austria and guided by the vision of mainman Aramath, Woodtemple have been one of the finest purveyors of pagan metal since the dawn of the new millennium. Here on Forgotten Pride, Woodtemple continue their ascent to pagan metal's highest rank with a sound which can rightly qualified as melancholic pagan metal.
"Of course, the blackened bloodlust is still the foundation of Aramath's craft - surging, cascading, triumphant - but within that bloodlust stirs an ancient sadness that then blossoms into Woodtemple's cleanest and most melodic work. Taken as a whole, Forgotten Pride defies the conventions of cliche 'pagan metal' and presents a dynamic, daring totality.
"The album will be released in a noble A5 digibook, including a 12-page booklet, and limited to 500 copies for the first pressing."
The track listing is as follows:
2. Forgotten Pride
3. Sign of the Sun
4. So Far Away
5. Eternal Silence

Formed in the Bavarian foothills when the second wave of black metal had grotesquely clawed out of the grave and into the unforgiving light, Dark Fortress benefited from the rotten fruits of right place and right time.
For the past two decades, Dark Fortres gone from strength to strength. Across six full-lengths, the Landshut-based sextet stretched the boundaries of black metal, while remaining pure to the tenets of a genre that pivoted (and continues to do so) solely around the axis of the dark and all that resides hideously inside of it.
Dark Fortress is now set to release Veneral Dawn on September 2nd via Century Media Records. Check out the advance track "Chrysalis" below, thanks to New Noise Magazine, and you can also pre-order the album at this location. The track listing is as follows:

On September 16th, 2014 Nailjar Records will release the new Siftercide album. The label comments:
"While many bands play death metal and grind, few (if any) add trumpets, trombones and saxophones into the mix! Consisting of 19 tracks of insane bursts of speed, Self Titled is a definite must listen to!
"The band originally started in 2000 as a ‘shock rock’ goregrind project. However, after a handful of shows, demos, and CD-R releases went on hiatus. Eventually, the band picked up again and an album was recorded but never released. In 2012, the band dropped all old songs and started working on new material, this time incorporating a horn section.
"The new incarnation of Siftercide has been busy playing locally and regionally from basements to established venues. This line-up, despite having a solid core, has a fleeting horn section, often playing shows without the brass. Current members allow Siftercide to be Siftercide, and there is no official line up as far as individuals are concerned."
The band also comments on its lineup: “We don’t have a ‘members’ list. Anyone and everyone can join/leave. Right now after how many years, we have a stable core. We are always looking to expand. We don’t use real names, stage names, or any names. We are simply – Siftercide.” More...

2013 marked the tenth anniversary of Australian black metal band Pestilential Shadows and after a decade of darkness, Seance Records now unleashes the group's fifth full-length album, "Ephemeral," set for international release on October 31st. The label comments:
"Ephemeral retains Pestilential Shadows' signature poetic heaviness and melody but twists the dagger deeper into the soul. It is gritty and raw, driven by heart-wrenching emotion and fathomless despair. It quickens the blood with bitter poison and, like its namesake, reminds us that life is fleeting - merely a transitory state between birth, death, and nothingness. So, as surely as the scythe falls indiscriminately on young and old, rich and poor, know that death touches us all. We are Ephemeral."

4. Sorrow of Tongues
5. Hymn of Isolation & Suicide
