Our Judgment has posted the following message online about calling it a day after the departure of a band member:
"This is a status we never thought we'd have to post. Unfortunately after five years, today marks the end for Our Judgment.
"Steve has decided to leave the band. This is not a decision any of us expected, nor agree with. With this, the three of us have decided Our Judgment can no longer be Our Judgment. Steve has always been a major component to the band and its writing process, and being that he is the third original member to part ways with OJ, replicating what we once had seems impossible.
"With this being said, we give our most sincerest apologies to anyone who has supported this band, shared the stage with this band, and most importantly to anyone who believed in this band. We sincerely did as well.
"All four of us will continue to pursue music in some form at some time. Jake is extremely motivated to do so, and will continue to work and live in Eau Claire; Brett will possibly be moving back to his hometown for the time being; and Chris will be finishing his degree at UW-Stout. Whatever the current situation may be, we always will have the utmost passion for music.
"It's not the end for any of us, simply the closing of another chapter. We love you guys. OJcrew for life." More...

"Unfortunately due to financial reasons, we will not be performing in Lethbridge tonight. We would like to thank Ethan Lentz and West of Hell for the opportunity. We would like to make it up to both of them in the future. Because we are broke, we are hanging out in Walmart instead." More...
Cruz Del Sur Music will release "Beyond the Martyrs," from US doom metal outfit Argus, on October 1st in North America and on October 7th in the UK. "Beyond the Martyrs" starts where their 2011's release "Boldly Stride the Doomed" had left us...at the Ruins of Ouroboros. The cover artwork and tracklisting of the eight-song release follows below.
In between these two releases Argus has tested its strength and valor in several live shows both in its homeland and in Europe, receiving high praises from fans and from the record industry. Although a sense of impending fate marks again their compositions, the characteristic doom metal elements which were a distinguished trademark of Argus' past releases have now given way to what is primarily to a genuine heavy metal approach.

This 10-inch split is pressed on a limited silver vinyl and traditional black vinyl and each copy comes with a custom patch and poster of the cover art crafted by Italian mastermind Paolo Girardi.
Philadelphia's Ashencult self-released its debut album "Black Flame Gnosis" last year on both CD and digital formats. Unholy Anarchy Records will also be releasing "Black Flame Gnosis" as a gatefold 12-inch LP in October.
Swedish misanthropes Mephorash deliver a dose of occult black metal on their side with the track "Atramentous Ungod Aspect." Guest vocals for the song were provided by the unholiest of them all; Acherontas V. Priest. NoCleanSinging.com is hosting a stream of "Atramentous Ungod Aspect." To listen, go here.

Six In Line has checked in with the following announcement about releasing a new EP:
"We are pleased to announce the last EP! Yes, that EP that we've been promising for over a year now. Its our Chinese Democracy, our Duke Nukem Forever, our Half-Life 3 if you may. And yes, we did promise on every show on our USA East Coast tour earlier this year that it would be released in a matter of weeks, but then again, we use the metric system(!). We also write our own jokes. As you'll come to realize while reading this.
"It all started out with that we were never content with our earlier releases, I mean, the song's are alright, but the production leaves much to be wished for. Therefore we took it on ourselves to record this release completely DIY, DUI-free, and only release it once we were fully satisfied. During our time recording this, we have outdone ourselves both technique-wise and musically. The vocals, lyrics, and even the phrasings have been redone several times.
"We had to find a new bassist to join the self-proclaimed Laid Crew, and also teach our new member Daniel HC, them good ol' basslines until they fit like a glove so that he could show his chops on the new songs. Let's not even go into the subject of the guitars! We just want to tell you guys that it took a lot of time and patience but in the end, its something that we're quite satisfied with. More...

In mid-2013 Longshot decided to record four new songs under the title "IV." The 7 inch record is being released on MorseCode Recordings on red and clear vinyl and can be pre-ordered here here.
