The Offering Signs With Century Media

Century Media Records is proud to announce the worldwide signing of The Offering. The group's self-titled debut EP was produced by guitarist Nishad George, with engineering help from Grammy award-winning engineer Mark Fuller, and mixed and mastered by Andre Alvinzi and Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios.

Check out the EP’s opening track “Rat King” below, and stay tuned for the five track release to officially drop November 10th digitally. The Offering's first full-length studio album is scheduled to drop in summer/autumn 2018.

Century Media Records comments: "Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts the five players behind The Offering first came together in Tampa, Florida to invent their signature version of progressive, furious, and technical power metal with a strong death and thrash approach.

"The wild mixture of elements from many metal genres puts The Offering G in a class of its own: deep musical compositions, extreme, adept vocal performances, a powerful modern sound, and profound song arrangement separate The Offering from the metal pack. This is modern heavy metal for open-minded listeners who can imagine a hybrid of Nevermore, Death, At The Gates, Psychotic Waltz, Control Denied and Iced Earth." More...

Valient Thorr Frontman Blasts Napalm Records

Valient Thorr vocalist Valient Himself is obviously not a fan of Napalm Records, who released the outfit's latest effort "Old Salt". Talking on the MetalSucks Podcast, he slams the label, stating:

"It’s unfortunate that we have a label that doesn’t really give a shit about us. Because that record came out August 30th of last year, and we did three tours in Europe around it and this tour right here [the annual ‘Vans Warped Tour‘] is the first one we’ve done in the States. So it would be nice if we’d had some kind of push from the label… I think it was like one of those… I don’t know if it’s a tax scam or what… but we didn’t sell like ten or fifteen thousand records the first day or something, so they don’t give a damn about us."

"I’m not afraid to say it, we’re speaking about Napalm Records."

Enslaved Premieres New Song "Storm Son"

Enslaved today premieres a new song entitled "Storm Son", taken from the upcoming new album "E", which will be released on October 13th through Nuclear Blast Records. Commented the band’s Ivar Bjørnson of the song:

"‘Storm Son‘ deals with the duality of man and nature, how important and basic that relationship is. Everything we do and create are imitations of nature; as we evolved from nature, that is how it must be – yet modern man thinks he and she is independent of nature, that we somehow are so superior that we do not have to take nature into consideration other than as a backdrop for shitty movies. Or festivals. Losing touch with nature is basically to lose touch with being human."
