Set for North American release on October 16th, the three tracks on "Climax Community" traverse forty five minutes of Darsombra's slow-building, organic transcendental rock, and explore realms of the musical cosmos not present on previous releases.
In preparation for the release of "Climax Community," Darsombra has constructed a trailer showcasing both the audio and visual aspects of the album. Check out the teaser below. The album's track listing is:

“This was a huge accomplishment for Upon Wings, to release our first music video,” frontwoman Anne Erickson said. “We've received such a warm response for ‘The Dream,’ and I’m glad we were able to put together a music video to compliment the song. We are honored by the positive response and can’t wait to release new music soon.”
Upon Wings recently recorded new music at the Johnny K-owned Goovemaster Studios in Chicago with a producer who will be announced soon, and the band plans to release the debut this fall. The band also commented on its sound and history:
"Upon Wings hails from the U.S. and can be described as operatic metal with a classical influence. After creating the idea for Upon Wings, Erickson — who is also a music journalist for Gannett, Gibson, Loudwire and radio host and managing editor of Audio Ink Radio — entered the studio with Michigan-based, Grammy-nominated producer and engineer Glenn Brown to put the ideas onto tape. The result is music with a strong Euro-classical influence, showcasing Erickson’s classically-trained mezzo soprano vocals." More...

In addition to heavy touring in support of the album release, the band is stoked to have New Metal Army premiere one of the "Beastwars" tracks titled "Cthulhu." Check out the song at this location. The band comments:
"The idea for the song was to create some music that felt like a huge sea monster. Coincidentally, we recorded the album in Dunedin, New Zealand, which is the same city where H.P. Lovecraft's crew set off from in the story 'The Call of Cthulhu.'
"This version that was recorded was the first time ever that we had played the song all the way through, and all the vocals were improvised on the spot. The next morning we were watching the news on TV and we saw that a fishing boat had sunk off the coast of Dunedin around the same time that we had recorded the song. Obvious use a coincidence, but made us seriously contemplate the power of the riff."

Wes Borland is best known as the eccentric guitarist for rap metal outfit Limp Bizkit, but he also splits his time as the frontman for Black Light Burns. The band released the well-received “Cruel Melody” in 2007. After a few years on hiatus, the band is gearing up to release their sophomore effort, “The Moment You Realize You're Going To Fall.” A heavier affair compared to their debut album, distorted bass and an abrasive guitar sound drives most of the songs. I had the chance to speak to Borland about the band starting up again, writing in isolation, and the differences between touring with Black Light Burns and Limp Bizkit. More...

Behexen will be releasing new album "Nightside Emanations" this coming September 21st through Debemur Morti Productions. A teaser trailer for the release is available below, and Debemur Morti also commented:
"Ushering the dawn of a new age of darkness, Behexen stirs from its solitary slumber with 'Nightside Emanations,' invoking chaos, heralding the decay of the (self-)righteous, celebrating the ominous, all-consuming onset of Death - embracing that eternal, perpetual, unflinching reality that awaits us all. These ten new incantations to the ancient ones are imbued with an organic, evil sound; blessed / cursed / inspired by forces from the nether realm. The serpent of black fire is summoned to set the world aflame, mankind and his impetitude razed and cleansed by the unforgiving tendrils of serpentine flame. A ritual reawakening, a call to demons, 'Nightside Emanations' traverses abyssic dungeons, diffusing irresistible energies from the temple of silent curses. As all around you crumbles to dust, bow beneath the black star of Lucifer. Acknowledge the horned master in all his forms; recognise and revere his many faces." More...

Turin (Torino), Italy is more than a city that was the focus of the 2006 Winter Olympics. It is a city rich in history, best known as the home of the “Shroud of Turin,” which has been the subject of religious debate for years. The language (“piemontese”) is still steeped with the Celtic verbiage of its ancient inhabitants (“The Taurini”), who were destroyed by the Romans. A cultural, literary and cinematic center, Turin was the birthplace of chromatography and the Italian cinema. Ironically, this culture has been infused into the city’s symphonic metal scene with acts like Aevum, Phenris, Venice In Vain, and most notably Sound Storm.
Sound Storm was established back in 2002 as a traditional/classic metal band playing covers of Iron Maiden, Manowar and Savatage. At the end of 2003, the band began composing original material resulting in its 2005 demo “The Storm is Coming...” and successor 2007 EP “Northern Wilderness.” In 2009, the band started to define its sound with the stellar debut release “Twilight Opera,” through Rising Works. Once released, the band would begin its epic journey of evolution and now stands at the precipice of releasing one of the finest symphonic records ever, “Immortalia” (see Metal Underground.com’s review at this location). With the sophomore LP backed by Scarlet Records and scheduled for an August 28, 2012 drop, guitarist Valerio Sbriglione spoke with Metal Underground.com to give the entire low down on a release that should become immortal in the hearts of symphonic metal fans. Napalm Records is extremely happy to announce that Powerwolf has joined the label's ranks. The release date for the new, as-yet-untitled longplayer and follow-up to "Blood of the Saints" (reviewed here), is tentatively scheduled for the summer of 2013. On December 15th, the wolves will share the stage with In Extremo, Helloween and many more at the Knock Out Festival in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Mattew Greywolf of Powerwolf comments: "We're blessed to have found a mighty and truely believing partner for crusades to come. Among all the labels we had been takling to, Napalm Records were the ones who stood out in means of faith, spirit and dedication to the wolves. We're looking forward to spreading the word of metal together with them in the future. Be prepared!"
Markus Riedler, CEO of Napalm Records, also adds, "Captain Napalm, the mighty twin-headed eagle, and the wolves have joined forces in order to begin the crusade for the Power Metal throne. There is no doubt that the ultimate victory of the band cannot be stopped. We are very proud to build a great future together with Powerwolf. The album will be released in the summer of 2013 and the deafening howl of the wolves will make the competitors freeze with fear."

Focusing especially on the "Among the Living" album, the connection Anthrax has with the Poltergeist theme is explored, along with the band's long-running collaboration with artist Don Brautigam.
Don was the artist behind the covers of several best sellers by Dean Koontz, Stephen King and reissues of Agatha Christie and HG Wells tomes. The painting techniques that Brautigam used in "State of Euphoria" and "Persistence of Time" are also revealed. Read the full article by going here. More...
