Portland, OR doom metal outfit Witch Mountain has completed work on the "Mobile Of Angels" album. Profound Lore Records comments:
"In what will be seen as the doom metal veterans’ mightiest work yet, 'Mobile Of Angels' sees Witch Mountain create a wondrous album of heavy, bluesy sultry doom with their latest release which merges the band’s signature crushing rhythms with moving doom-metal balladry.
"New surprises also lurk amongst the journey of 'Mobile Of Angels' where the band take their implementation of melancholy to a whole new epic level where vocalist Uta Plotkin delivers her most stunning and most developed vocal performance to date. Where the band continue to progress musically with each succeeding album, Plotkin’s vocal performance continues to grow stronger, more defined and moving. 'Mobile Of Angels' is the evidence of all this."

“Flamekeeper” will be available in two different versions on Self Mutilation Services, including a special ceremonial box, and is a release that is very personal to Hugin, who wants it to be a special thank you to fans, some of whom have been following the band for twenty years since the release of the “Misanthropia/Misanthropia” back in 1994.
To this end, the front man has gone to great lengths to hand craft much of the content himself, and has ensured that the label sourced a high quality wooden box that will be a collector’s item for years to come. Included in the diehard “Flamekeeper Ceremonial Box” set will be the following: More...

Modern thrash act Incite, fronted by Richie Cavalera (son of Max Cavalera), is pleased to announce the release of the title track from "Up In Hell." Listen in below, thanks to Loudwire.com.
“‘Up In Hell’ is brutal, aggressive – and in my opinion – exactly what metal music needs right now,” states frontman Richie Cavalera. “It's a song that a lot of people can relate to. The world is getting worse and so are people. It’s turning into a living hell. The track itself is very heavy and gets the pit going and we feed off of that live.”
The "Up In Hell" album is due out on September 2nd, 2014 via Minus HEAD Records. The band took up studio time with Matt Hyde (Deftones, Slayer, Hatebreed, Parkway Drive) at Hideaway Studios, who produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered the record. Production assistance was provided by Thomas Bellier and Jon Nicholson of Drum Fetish is credited as drum technician on the album. The track listing is as follows:

New York death metal legion Internal Bleeding will unleash "Imperium" to the masses this Fall via Unique Leader Records. Produced by the band alongside Joe Cincotta at Full Force Studio (Suffocation, Dehumanized, Mortal Decay) in Ronkonkoma, New York and engineered by Cincotta and Derek Boyer, "Imperium" boasts the menacing artwork of Mircea Gabriel Eftemie (Carcass, Cryptopsy, The Haunted, Nevermore et al) and spews forth some of the band's darkest and heaviest material yet.
Additionally, "Imperium" includes a three-part trilogy featuring guest appearances by Suffocation's Terrance Hobbs and Frank Mullen as well as former Internal Bleeding throat Frank Rini.
In anticipation of its release, today Internal Bleeding brings fans a ten-plus-minute video examination of "Imperium," boasting interviews with individual members as well as snippets of each track. Comments guitarist Chris Pervelis:
"We wanted to try to give fans of the band a little bit of insight into each song from both a musical and lyrical perspective. Even though we feel the album is very cohesive and we're all on the same page musically, each member of the band has a different take on what is important and interesting about the album. It's these different perspectives that combine to make Imperium a very complete and well-rounded recording." More...

Apocalyptica has checked in with the following announcement about releasing a new album and upcoming tour dates:
"After the recent feature projects, the upcoming new album is going to be 100% Apocalyptica and a new musical challenge at the same time: the band is working with Franky Perez as exclusive singer on the vocal tracks – this time not only during production, but for the whole cycle including the live shows.
"Perez released his debut in 2003, later teaming up with System of a Down’s Daron Malakian and John Dolmayan as Scars on Broadway. In 2009, Perez was announced on vocals of Slash’s solo band, followed by collaborations with Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver) as well as Scott Shriner (Weezer), Joey Castillo (Queens of The Stone Age) and Dave Warren (The Simpsons) as Pusher Jones.
"After being honored as vocalist for The Doors at the L.A. Sunset Strip Music Festival, he released his latest album 'Addict' in 2013. For Eicca, Mikko, Paavo and Perttu working with Perez on the entire project elevates the musical vision to a new level of coherence between studio production and live performance. The new album will be out early 2015.
"The new material and exciting live show featuring Franky Perez can be witnessed live on the following dates – more cities and venues will be announced very soon." More...

After the 'Plague of Conscience' album being eternally on repeat in The More I See band van, then 'The Fateful Dark' arriving in March 2014, and THEN to share quality time with Dave Silver as a fellow Heavy Metal Truant on the 160-mile cycle ride 'to Download or bust', it's a privilege to be able to support a band we all really dig and feel akin with from a musical and labelmates perspective. Los Angeles technical death metal band The Zenith Passage today unleashes a new pre-production track entitled "Simulated Reality." Give it a listen below.
The maniacal new tune will appear on the follow-up to the "Cosmic Dissonance" EP. The following press release was also issued about the band:
"It was in early 2012 that a small recording collaboration between two friends -- Justin McKinney and Greg Hampton -- began to coalesce into something that would prove to be well more than the sum of its parts.
"The Zenith Passage may have come about from humble beginnings in a stuffy Los Angeles apartment, but the produce thereof is anything but humble. Even the earliest demo tracks delivered a relentless torrent of technical guitar work accompanied by a distinctly frenetic and brutal vocal delivery that has since become an unmistakable hallmark in a scene that is all too often the victim of stagnation.
"Far from being strictly a shredfest, TZP also incorporates a thematic backbone that draws inspiration from the chaotic and awesome destructive powers of our universe. Progressive interludes invoke a palpable sense of abstract dread and reverence for things beyond mortal comprehension. The atmosphere created clearly nods to inspiration drawn from the likes of Deeds of Flesh, Soreption, Fallujah, Severed Savior, and Aeon. More...

"Primordium is America's best kept secret. The band's mind-boggling technical Death Metal music is among the best. The band keeps it fast and vicious without rendering it unnecessarily brutal and has a sublime sense of catchiness with an undertone of melody but maintaining a firm distinction - the result is some of the best-balanced technical death metal that's contemporary and relevant."

The Finnish outfit Edge Of Haze is gearing up to release new album "Illumine" on August 21st, 2014.
As a teaser leading up to that release, today we've teamed up with the band to exclusively premiere the new "Crushed" music video. The clip, available below, was directed and edited by Markus Hentunen, with additional filming and directing by Olli Kiikkilä.
The "Crushed" track was recorded and mixed by Tuomas Yli-Jaskari (Tracedawn) at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland and mastering was handled by Acle Kahney (TesseracT) at 4D Sounds in Brighton, UK. You can pick up the single at iTunes. Edge Of Haze also comments:
"In the video we wanted to showcase especially the dystopia theme and empathize the protagonist on the album. We are citizens, barren souls under authority, desperately trying to find light in the surroundings both figuratively and literally.
"The importance of light goes hand in hand between the album (title) and the video. In the video we need to illumine the room of our secret society to be able to escape. In the album it is an individual attempt of taking control over one's own life. Either way the idea of finding yourself, the light, is what we want to signal via the song."
If you like what you hear, you can check out the band's previous album "Mirage" at Bandcamp here. The track listing for forthcoming album "Illumine" will be as follows:
