In support of Anti-Bullying Awareness Month this October, Los Angeles based hard rockers Black Veil Brides have created an exclusive lyric t-shirt that is on-sale now. The band has teamed up with The Bully Project and created a crowdfunding initiative with all profits from the sale of the t-shirt going to support the organization.
The words “If We Stand Together We Will Be Unbroken” will be emblazoned across the front of the t-shirt, which is a lyric taken from the band’s song “Unbroken” featured on the "Avengers Assemble" soundtrack.
The band has also pulled in some sponsors to join in the fight against bullying. BandMerch, Peavy and Monster Energy will be supporting this endeavor through matching donations at different intervals of the campaign. The shirt will be on-sale for 3 weeks exclusively at teespring.com for $25.00 each and can be purchased at this location.
"Alex, who's powerful story of being bullied is told in the film BULLY, is 16 and an aspiring musician. He is a huge fan of the Black Veil Brides. We are grateful for artists like the Black Veil Brides for taking a stand with Alex, The BULLY Project and all of us who have felt like outsiders to end bullying and create safer schools," states Bully documentary director Lee Hirsch.
A subsequent component of the partnership is that Black Veil Brides will be encouraging everyone who purchases a shirt to send a photo of themselves wearing it. That photo can be emailed to the band at email@example.com. Upon sending the image to that email address, the person is giving the band permission to use their image in an anti-bullying video that they will be releasing on October 1st for Anti-Bullying Awareness Month.

Pig Destroyer will be hitting the road this summer for a handful of festivals including the GWAR-B-Q, Hopscotch Fest (with label-mates Inter Arma and ASG), Basillica Soundscape in Hudson, NY and the Housecore Horror Film Fest in Austin, TX. A complete list of dates can be viewed below.
Frontman JR Hayes commented on their summer festival appearances: "It's cool 'cause our next few shows should be very unusual and I'm really excited to see what happens. First up there's the GWAR-B-Q, where we'll be laying down some grind in a water park! Alongside my VA brothers GWAR and the Waste. Things can get rowdy down there in Richmond so it should be a lot of fun.
"Then, in September, we'll be at the Hopscotch Fest where I'm pretty sure we'll be making our NC debut. Only took us 16 years. Oh yeah, and Gorguts will be there to tech-metal your face off. The following Friday we'll be in Hudson NY in an old glue factory for a show/art exhibit masterminded by legendary cult director Matthew Barney. All bets are off for that one. Anything could happen.
"We'll be capping things off in late October with a performance at the Housecore Horror festival in Austin TX alongside a list of awesome bands as long as your arm and Goblin doing a live soundtrack to Suspiria. Should be an amazing show." More...

WormHoleDeath Records has checked in with the following announcement about lineup changes within Mechanical God Creation:
"Keeping an underground band together is one of the most difficult tasks that a band-leader has. Lucy is always working hard for her project Mechanical God Creation and honestly, we always supported her choices plus trusted everything she said since they are the oldest band in our roster. We never let her down and we never let departing members creating so much damage to drive MGC at its end either. In fact once again Lucy is now announcing a new line up change but we can feel that there’s new found strength and integrity in her words."
Vocalist Lucy Catananti stated: “During the last few months, many things happened and changed the future of the band, in my opinion with a positive result. We had too many differences within MGC that led me to make a drastic decision: a change that should have happened months ago. My bad, I closed my eyes and I went ahead and let the problems there making the situation even worse.
"Sometimes from bad experiences we learn a lot but we don’t find the strength to start again from scratch. Luckily I’m not the kind of girl that leaves thing behind and my sacrifices have paid off specially thanks to the support of the people who believed in me from the very beginning. Because of them I was able to retrieve this project. I started to sing with new excitement... with new people and I felt immediately a good feeling in all respects.
"I’m really happy to introduce you all the new members of the Mechanical God Creation: Salvatore Duca on bass, Mirko Frontini e Francesco Calligaris on guitars, and Carlo Molinara on drums. With this new line we are already working new material for the next full-length.”

"Lots of good, lots of bad..." is one way to describe Pinkish Black's star-crossed career thus far. Their first incarnation arose in Fort Worth, TX, when 2005 saw a trio of like-minded souls connect under the banner of The Great Tyrant and set about hewing a new definition for the word "heavy."
Following the tragic passing of original bass player Tommy Atkins, the remaining duo forged ahead, morphing into an even darker macabre entity. Now comprised of drummer Jon Teague and Daron Beck on vocals and synthesizer, the band go under the new moniker Pinkish Black.
"Jon and I have been playing music for over 2 decades," Beck comments. "The whole process of getting to this point in our lives and our music has been very much a repeating cycle of building to inevitably tear down to build again to tear down and so on... it's how all life is. Building, destroying, building, destroying..." More...
The Unguided has checked in with the following announcement about working on a new album and inking a deal with Napalm Records:
"There’s been a lot of silence around here the last couple of months. But we can now finally surface that; the Swedes in the band and the Austrian’s (at a certain well-established record label); are in league to shoulder the highly anticipated TBA successor album to 'Hell Frost!'
"After lengthy negotiation between the two parties, we are now; severely proud to say that The Unguided and Napalm Records hails under the same banner!
"We've been eying out Napalm Records for quite some time and undeniably considered it as a very desirable home for our cogent operation. Fresh in mind; Napalm Records have been a force to reckon with, supplying us all with ace metal acts through the decades, rooting themselves as far down as to our very childhood days. Therefore it feels beyond certain that this alliance will be for the greater good. And we are very confident that together, the future holds; many beautiful things in its mystic and ever-changing puzzle."
Further details on the coming album will be announced as they are made available.

Wilson's debut album "Full Blast Fuckery" is available now and the band will be touring across the country in support of it, but today the band has teamed up with Crave Online to premiere a video for "College Gangbang."
The video was made by Detroit filmmakers Nick Ferguson and Raymond Rivard, who recently joined forces under the name Club Davison. The video was filmed at the Metal Frat in Ann Arbor, MI and can be viewed below. Frontman Chad Nicefield comments:
"We are very excited to unleash our debut debaucherous music video for 'College Gangbang' the 1st single off our brand spanking new album Full Blast Fuckery. At a time when bands and fans alike are riddled with bad attitudes and overly stale states of mind, we over here at the WILSON camp have been training, preparing and formulating the correct way to adjust those attitudes.
"We have enlisted a hero of epic proportions to turn these party frowns upside down. A man so hell-bent on making sure your life's inner soiree is celebrated that he is even willing to kill for you. A man built so well endowed that any female that steps foot into his presence will surely be brought to her knees in pure ecstasy. A man so party that John Belushi himself came back from the grave just to stare into the eyes of a man more worthy. An enigma of a man so full of pure adulterating good times that Macaulay Culkin literally stepped down from his role in Party Monster 2 to hand over the baton. A TRUE hero of our times.
"So grab your lady (ladies) or your man (men), a bong and your favorite 40oz of malt liquor and Experience The Gangbang." More...

Right now we are rehearsing and going through some of our hidden gems, songs that we haven't yet picked up or rarely have played live before. It will probably be as exciting for you as it is for us!
"Please note that it won't be an 'old-school' party, but an evening with atmosphere so thick you could cut it with a knife! Oh, and we will probably have time to play some of the 'hits' as well. All in all, we will squeeze out as much Katatonia as possible each and every night, so let's do this one together once again, shall we?"
The upcoming North American tour will coincide with the release of "Dethroned and Uncrowned," the band's debut album on Kscope (sister label of Peaceville), home to Anathema, Amplifier, Steven Wilson and most recently, Wisdom of Crowds, the new project from Bruce Soord of The Pineapple Thief and Katatonia's very own Jonas Renkse.

Genre-defying 14-string guitarist Felix Martin has unveiled a second track from his upcoming Prosthetic studio debut, “The Scenic Album.”
Scheduled for release on September 17 via Prosthetic Records, the album showcases Martin’s unique combination of instrumental progressive metal, jazz fusion, funk, and world music, with additional performances by bassist Nathan Navarro - a fellow graduate of the Berklee School of Music - and drummer Marco Minnemann (Necrophagist, The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson). Watch the play-through video for the three-part “Tango” below (courtesy of PureGrainAudio.com).
Additionally, Felix Martin has announced the completion of his self-designed 14-string guitar, “The Jazz Metal Machine" (pictured after the jump), named due to its concept that allows a traditional jazz guitar sound to be played with a huge amount of distortion.
Unlike Martin’s usual setup with two seven-string guitars sharing one wide neck, this new design combines an 8-string neck with a 6-string neck and will also feature the first-ever 8-string jazz pickups, made by Seymour Duncan. More...
Two titles by Bay Area metal icons Testament will be released on vinyl this coming September 24th via Prosthetic Records, soon before the group will tour North America alongside Lamb of God and Killswitch Engage.
The 2001 anthology “First Strike Still Deadly” features tracks from Testament’s iconic first two Megaforce/Atlantic albums, re-recorded with modern technology by four-fifths of group’s original lineup. The album has never been available on vinyl until now. Approximately 400 copies will be issued on 180-gram black vinyl. a limited-edition, 180-gram clear vinyl mail-order exclusive (100 copies) will also be offered.

In addition, the new LP layout, which features liner notes by guitarist Alex Skolnick, pays homage to the original EP artwork and includes never-before-seen pictures by photographer PG Brunelli.
In the time leading up to pre-production and the recording of forthcoming album "Masks," Eyes Set To Kill decided to hunker down and demo two of the group's strongest new songs, "True Colors" and "Nothing Left to Say."
"Those two songs served as a blueprint for the entire record," explains singer, songwriter, and guitarist Alexia Rodriguez. "When we were writing, I didn't try to do what everybody else does. We didn't need to throw a ton of riffs into one song or get overly technical. I wanted to make music that was catchy."
With that mindset, the group retreated to a Southern California studio with producer Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura). Check out a sneak peek into the recording process below.
"Masks" will be in stores September 17th, 2013 through Century Media Records. More...
