Up and coming Swedish death dealers Erupted are wrapping up work on their forthcoming debut full-length for Abyss Records. Titled "In the Grip of Chaos," the album is slated for release later this year. The track "That Which Is Denied Gains Power," one of eight new songs on the release, is streaming below. The band commented:
During the last months of 2011 until April of 2012 we have been doing recordings for our upcoming album. We haven't had a lot of time to play live, socialize, or even drink beer. But now, more than half a year after it was started, our album is on the finishing stretch and we can proudly present one of the tracks.
This album is going to consist of both new and old tracks, some of which our longtime listeners might remember from live shows or earlier recordings. We are currently looking for shows for our summer and hopefully we will be out showcasing our new material a lot, so keep an eye out for live videos and recordings to get sneak previews of more songs!
The whole studio experience has been special because both bass and drums were recorded on an analog tape recorder, which meant a lot of retakes, but we hope that some of the 'live' feeling got recorded on there as well. Besides that the recording experience has been good. All the mixing and mastering was done at Kloster Productions by Robin 'Rojne' Svensson, the same guy that mixed Faces of Death
Below is the tracklisting and cover art for "In the Grip of Chaos," which includes two songs from the 2010 release "Faces of Death" (denoted by asterix). The new track, "That Which is Denied Gains Power," follows.
Salvation From Below
In the Grip of Chaos
Path of Perdition
Death of A Depraved Mind
Blazing Fall of Heaven
That Which Is Denied Gains Power

Italian power/progressive band Vision Divine, founded by guitarist and songwriter Olaf Thorsen (Labyrinth) and singer Fabio Lione (Rhapsody Of Fire), announced that the album "Destination Set To Nowhere" will drop in North America on September 18, 2012 via Eagle Rock imprint Armoury Records. The album is also scheduled for release in Europe through Germany's EarMusic/Edel Group Records on September 14, 2012.
Featuring 11 tracks, the saga of "Destination Set To Nowhere" follows a man’s journey through outer space. He, along with other like-minded individuals, fled the earth out of social-political frustration. Together they eventually locate a new planet to inhabit where they could truly live out their visions of peace. Slowly though, they revert to the same ideologies they meant to leave behind. The only escape is to set out again, one man leaving alone: destination set to nowhere.
Comments Olaf Thorsen of the offering: “We are sure this album will finally give us the chance to show all of our potential; we worked hard on it in order to give the best possible album. In the end, we went even beyond our expectations thanks to the excitement and the good vibes we got from starting this adventure.”

Sweden's Graveyard has set "Lights Out"as the title for the band's next album, which is set to be released October 26th, 2012 via Nuclear Blast. Commented drummer Axel Sjöberg about the album title:
"The title 'Lights Out' sums up the feeling of the new album, and a feeling that we have. That these times that we live in are strange times, where no one really sees anything straight/the way they are."
About the cover of the upcoming album, Sjöberg adds: "We all know that both we and pretty much everyone was really excited about the cover of 'Hisingen Blues.' So we had to come up with a really strong idea to match the strength of that cover. It's just about finished now, but even without having seen the final version, we are convinced that no one will be disappointed by the cover to 'Lights Out.' We've worked with several people that all added their part, and as the saying goes in Sweden: the sum of the parts is bigger than the parts alone. So sharpen your raven's hatches and get ready for 'Lights Out.'"

Stream “How To Look Naked” at this location. A music video by director Agata Alexander is currently in production and will be available soon.
Borland adds, “Once again I have been asked to say something about a piece of music that should speak for itself. This song may be about you. You are ashamed of yourself. You filter everything in fear of not having the love you put out into the world reciprocated. You have no tact. You are a bag of hammers in desperate need of being dropped off of a cliff. You've grown into a worthless consumer living off a steady diet of bullshit. You reside entirely in a bubble but constantly look for confirmation by playing up your existence to be a shallow reflection of the faux heroes you vicariously live your life through. Should I beat the horse anymore? Has the carpet been thoroughly pulled out from beneath the feet of the song? Is any word written here relevant to any part of the song it's referring to? Anything is possible. Giving quotes for singles feels like whispering sweet nothings to a maple tree. I think I just got sap on my face. I'd mostly like to thank CraveOnline for hosting and debuting the song for us. ‘How To Look Naked.’ Enjoy.” More...

Paris-via-Montreal act No Place For Heroes has just put new single "Girls Want Bad Boys" online for free download. The song is available through TheNewReview.net here or in the player below.
"'Girls Want Bad Boys' is a straight-to-the-point kind of song," comments NPFH guitarist/vocalist, Will Maurer. "It's rock arranged and composed like an energetic electronica track. We wanted to make a point of underlining the changes that are coming with this new album we are working on, which will be more rock with some electronica influences."
The single was recorded in winter 2012 in Paris, with the same crew (Krang Team) that produced the first NPFH album. "This single has sort of a tragicomic concept," explains Maurer. "It's about a regular guy who finds himself in a car chase with the police after having pulled a stunt to impress a girl... because girls want bad boys! We're talking about doing all this in a video eventually." More...

Century Media has announced the signing of the Serbian-based band, Destiny Potato. The band comments:
"Just a few months after we officially formed the band we got an opportunity to play our first show at Euroblast 2011 where we met some boys and gals from Century Media as they came to hear/see us play. Not long after the fest we got in touch with them and after months of negotiations we are finally here and really looking forward to an amazing collaboration with all the great people in and around this label."
Officially formed in the spring of 2011, Destiny Potato mastermind David Maxim Micic and singer Aleksandra Djelmas had been writing and recording songs together since they were 16. Maxim and Djelmas attended the same high school and both their fathers played in one of Serbia's most popular progressive rock bands, Yu Grupa.
"I officially met Alex in a music class," says Maxim. "We knew our father's played together so we first started talking about that, then we realized we both loved pop music and would get together after school and write lots of piano based tunes with dreams of one day having a number one song on the pop charts."
Following high school, Maxim attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music. It was there a friend introduced him to some heavier sounds, namely the UK based tech metal band, Sikth.
"From there I just started discovering so much more metal music. I decided to do a solo album inspired by these bands as well as Serbian and other Eastern European music (Maxim has self released 2 solo albums thus far, the Bilo series, volumes 1.0 and 2.0) though some of the heavier sounds also started to be incorporated into the music Alex and I were working on."
Maxim and Djelmas worked with a few other people during this time and began uploading songs and clips online. When deciding on band name, they wanted to come up with something light-hearted to fit their personalities, yet something that everyone would remember. Destiny Potato was chosen. "I really have no idea what it means or where it actually came from," comments Maxim. More...

Earthen Grave drove south from Chicago to play shows in New Orleans and Dallas. Unfortunately, the NOLA show was canceled on Thursday, which led to an impromptu performance in Austin made possible by Hipsterectomy. The local crossover crushers invited Earthen Grave to play their CD release show at Trophy’s.
Due to the punk-heavy lineup, in many ways Earthen Grave’s performance was akin to The Obsessed opening for hardcore bands in Washington D.C., circa the early ‘80s. This was Hipsterectomy’s show, but the band offered Earthen Grave the headlining spot. Even though Earthen Grave features former Trouble member Ron Holzner, the crowd mostly consisted of locals who had come out to see their friends play. Once Earthen Grave took the stage, most of the crowd filtered out. More...

Terror is currently touring the world in support of latest release, "Keepers Of The Faith," hitting North America this month with Bane, Naysayer, and Rotting Out before heading over to Europe, then Ireland and the UK this fall-- but the group's impending stop in the Czech Republic has now been cancelled. In regards to this cancellation, Terrror comments:
"Terror is going to cancel their show in the Czech Republic this month. We feel obligated to stand up for Randy Blythe. This situation seems to be taken too lightly. Randy comes from punk and hardcore roots, just like Terror. He still supports underground music and has always supported Terror -- even singing on stage alongside us when we play Richmond. This hits really close to home for us having members of the band and our crew from the hometown of Lamb of God.
"We love our Czech fans very much and have amazing shows there, but we need to 'stick tight' to our friend Randy, which is why we have chosen to cancel the show. As a band that could easily be in this same position at any given show, we don't think we can play there and act like this is OK - it isn't.
"This is bigger than a hashtag or a clever t-shirt-- we as a community need to take action and speak up. Free Randy Blythe." More...
