The opening track "The Anatomy Of A Nervous Breakdown: On The Sideline" will be released as a digital iTunes single on July 19th. The album will feature guest musicians Mark Jansen (Epica), Marcela Bovio & Johan van Stratum (Stream of Passion), Daniel de Jongh (Textures), and Devin Townsend. The band comments:
"The record lives up to its name 'Wild Card' in every single second! This album became the most aggressive album I’ve ever made and in the lyrics I tell a lot about my personal experiences of the last years. This resulted into some heavy stories and some openhearted ‘screams’ I needed out of my system. It matches the violence of the music in a great way, we wrote as a great team! But not one sentence or word can really cover the contents of this album. Its variety in all its ingredients makes it almost impossible. A wild card is an unpredictable and unforeseeable factor. You don’t know what you’re getting, or when. That’s this album! It’s 100% ReVamp and it’s your wild card!” More...

"Through several problems we delay the Under The Banner of the Black Light Festival & Heidenwahn Winter Festival to 2014. The Festivals are not canceled, just delayed. All ordered tickets are valid for 2014. We try that all bands from the festivals will play in 2014 too (Gehenna, Archgoat & Throne of Katarsis too).
"We sent already a information to all bands, we hope that you have got it. It was a hard decision for us, but through personal problems and business-problems (through the cancellation from Gehenna, Throne of Katarsis & Archgoat exploited our calculation for the fest) it was the right decision.

"For this memorable event, the two core members put together an illustrious concert line-up, consisting of Konstanz (The Vision Bleak), Neige (Alcest), Eviga (Dornenreich), Fursy Teyssier (Les Discrets), Aline Deinert (Neun Welten) and Christoph Kutzer (Remember Twilight), who had rehearsed pieces from every creative phase of Empyrium as well as the new, so-far unreleased song 'Dead Winter Ways.'

Atoma, which released the "Skylight" album last year (reviewed here), has checked in with the following announcement about going on an indefinite hiatus:
"Atomic friends, we have been forced to put AtomA on ice for a while.
"As nationalism, racism and neoliberalism is on the rise in Europe we fear the well being of our families these coming decades, since we are immigrants in Sweden. Therefore we've been forced to put aside music to focus fully on studies and high education in order to be able to take care of our own when and if the shit goes down in these western countries.
"It pains us that we've had to take a break in the middle of writing the next album, but right now we must work and study hard to protect our families and loved ones from a very uncertain future.
We don't know when we'll be back, but you'll find out on our facebook page.
"We thank you deeply for the support you've been showing AtomA so far and we hope to be back soon to continue developing the vision we had, to create challenging albums that is no slave to any genre, but free to explore and roam through the universe of sound without imaginary prisons.
See you soon." More...

Sodom has checked in with the following statement about canceling the band's previously scheduled live appearance in India:
"Due to solid problems we are forced to cancel the upcoming show in Bangalore/India. We already had our suitcases packed and were ready to go.
"We are awfully sorry to take these steps and we are deeply disappointed by this situation, but in the end there's the awareness that not everything is done to our entire satisfaction. We are 'only' the musicians, who would have loved to rock India and we owe this to our fans, even more because we never performed over there, of course through no fault of our own.
"The one who botched this up will have to be confronted with the fans and the local scene for his faults. We concluded a contract, which has strictly abided by our booking agency ourselves. In the end, this set of problems redounds upon us, because we're in the front line and have to be answerable to our fans.
"I hope we didn't lose too many fans due to this mess, but all people who know us are aware of the fact, that we would do anything for our fans. We hope for your understanding and keep you informed about the latest facts."
Sodom would have been performing in support of latest album "Epitome of Torture," which is out now. More...
