2. No Reason to Live
3. False Alarm

At Sonisphere in France, the SAINT will be playing on the same day as Ghost, Evanescence, Wolfmother, Soulfly, Lacuna Coil, and more. Bang Your Head's list of confirmed bands includes Arch Enemy, Exodus, Thin Lizzy, Primordial, and more. Dong Open Air also features Napalm Death, Sepultura, and many others. Along with the festival appearances, Armored Saint will be playing three headlining shows with UK's Collapse as the supporting act."
Armored Saint's John Bush elaborates on the dates: "I'm very excited for our upcoming summer dates. First, Armored Saint has never played in France. Not only are we doing the awesome Sonisphere show, we are also doing a headline club show in Paris. About fucking time. Also, we're extremely pumped to play the Bang Your Head festival again. It's one of the best metal shows in Germany. Plus, we get to be part of the DONG festival. First time there.
"The tour wouldn't be complete without playing in Holland, which is the first country Armored Saint ever played in Europe back in 1989; and Zurich, where it will be our first time to headline in the beautiful country of Switzerland. Armored Saint doesn't tour all that often so come out and join us, cause you're never sure when or if we'll be touring again. We'll be playing songs from our entire catalog as well as from our most recent record, La Raza, which we're extremely proud of. See ya this summer." More...

Rain Without End Records has issued the following announcement about signing a deal with Italy's Dead Summer Society:
"We are very pleased to announce the signing of the Italian gothic/doom metal project Dead Summer Society. Dead Summer Society is the solo project of Mist (guitarist of How like a winter) and features collaborations with various male and female vocalists. Rain Without End Records will release Dead Summer Society's next full length album in 2013 and future releases after that.
"Dead Summer Society is a doom/gothic/dark/atmospheric/metal one man project from Italy created by guitarist and composer Mist (also guitarist in How like a winter). Mist writes and performs all of the music and instruments himself and collaborates with multiple vocalists.
"Dead Summer Society's music can be described as a multiform soundscape with a dark, experimental approach. Folk, ambient and electronic elements blended with a hint of death/black metal build upon a main architecture of doom metal. Growls, screams and clean male vocals are sometimes enriched with beautiful female singing to create a fascinating, yet obscure, balance. The music features a captivating, evocative musical structure which makes for a mutable kaleidoscope of styles and sounds.
"After the debut album 'Visions from a thousand lives,' self released in 2012, which got very good feedback, Mist is now working on the second album with more singer/musician collaborations. The new album will be released by Rain Without End Records in 2013."

Seattle-based quartet Brokaw has confirmed several Summer performances where the band will unleash noise-rock antagonism upon the attending audiences. The following press release has been issued about the shows:
"Noisemongers Brokaw are regionally-infamous for their raging live performances, where the mic stand frequently invades the audience's turf as much as the stage, while the band pummels the room with oppressively amplified riff mayhem. The band have just confirmed several hometown galas for the Summer months, including a Good To Die Records-sponsored afterparty for the city's annual Capitol Hill Block Party on July 21st, as well as a support slot for local badasses Black Breath and Red Fang on August 8th. More shows will be announced in the coming weeks as the details are confirmed.
"Led by Seattle rock lifers G. Stuart Dahlquist, Mike Henderson, Rick Troy, and Rich Medic, Brokaw is one of a breed of new groups that are paying heed to the mean, masculine sound of '90s rock outfits like the Melvins and Hammerhead. They meld that pounding attack with the rumble of drone metal like Sunn O))) and the fury of hard rockers like Goatsnake (both of which Dahlquist has spent time with both on stage and in the studio). Mix in the influences of freeform jazz a la Miles Davis in the '70s and the winking post-punk of The Fall and you get a sound unlike any other in the heavy rock world today. More...
Swedish Viking metal act King of Asgard is now ready to unleash second album "…to North," which was recorded at the infamous Sonic Train Studios with engineer Andy LaRocque at the helm.
In collaboration with Metal Hammer Germany, King of Asgard is now launching the second single taken off the new album. Click here to check out "Gap Of Ginnungs."
Comments King of Asgard on the song: "We picked this song out as the second single taken off the '…to North' album as it represents the more epic side of King of Asgard. The opposite of 'The Nine Worlds Burn' really which is a typical straight forward King of Asgard song. Gap of Ginnungs carries different elements of the band such as choirs and broad melancholic songwriting. Here we also present the second guest musician, Jimmy Hedlund. He is playing the lead guitar solo where we felt that the song needed something extra and this was his void to create upon. He did, and according to us, with a marvelous result and the circle was closed. This one is for you - followers of the King!"
The album is set for release in Europe on July 27th/30th through Metal Blade Records and the track listing is as follows:
2. The Nine Worlds Burn
3. The Dispossessed
4. Gap of Ginnungs
5. Bound to Reunite
7. Up on the Mountain
8. Plague-ridden Rebirth
9. Harvest (The End)
10. …to North More...

Brazil's Frost Despair recently revealed the title of the group's upcoming new album as "Surreal," which the band promises will be heavier and more orchestrated then previous album "The God Delusion," released last year.
Vocalist Odommok commented on the new album: "'Surreal' represents the deconstruction of the concrete, palpable. It can pass by the most elusive emotions of the human mind. The album will be intense, challenger and ornamented.
"We are working hard to create it and we wish to explore the most our musical capacity in this new album. We are facing a lot of changes and this reflect in our formation, tuning and the way we compose. To everyone who enjoy 'The God Delusion' we promise a great response."
Further details will be announced as they are made avialable. In the mean time, "The God Delusion" is fully available at the band's Myspace page here.

Czech online newspaper Blesk.cz recently conducted an interview with Lamb Of God manager Larry Mazer, the following of which appeared in its newspaper today. This is the transcript of the interview, which we translated into English as best as we could. Read the full article here. This is what Larry Mazer has to say about the unknown plight of his client, Randy Blythe, as he continues his best to get him through this difficult time.
Blesk.cz: What is the current situation, when will Randy Blythe will be released?
Larry Mazer: I have no idea. The deposit was made on Tuesday morning. We tried to make it Monday, but it took longer than expected. Randy should have been released immediately.
His lawyer assured us on Saturday he'd be released soon. 'You bring the money, you get released.' I know in the US it would have happened.
Blesk.cz: How long will Randy be in jail?
Larry: They told me that it may take up to 20 days. The investigator may request more time for an investigation of the case.
Blesk.cz: What are the reactions of the other bandmembers to this?
Larry: Everyone is shocked. It's absurd. Is it a bad joke. Randy sits in prison and he didn't do anything. He's innocent.
Blesk.cz: Did you know about the Czech fan dying after the concert two years ago?
Larry: We hadn't been here for an entire two years. My data is unavailable, but I hadn't heard from the family. We didn't know a promoter. No answer.
Blesk.cz: When did you first learn about it?
Larry: Not until last Wednesday. The organizer of the concert at Klub Abaton told us that the Czech police contacted them three months after the boy died. I don't get it, no one responded. The boy was in a coma and then died, and no-one said anything.
Blesk.cz: Czech police said they contacted the American side ... More...
Now Soilwork drummer Dirk Verbeuren has gone more in-depth to explain the lineup change in a recently posted interview with MetalSucks.net. An excerpt from the interview follows.
MetalSucks: So, let’s cut to it: why did Peter leave the band? Did he quit, was he fired, or was it mutual?
It was mutual. Peter couldn’t be a part of our 2011 U.S. run with Symphony X. That was maybe six or seven months after The Panic Broadcast came out. We were on a roll then, but out of solidarity and respect for our bandmate and friend, and because we really felt like we had the ultimate line-up, we cancelled that tour. The whole idea back then was that Peter would tour with us again soon. But then the summer festivals came along, and he progressively said “no” to those too. We couldn’t just keep cancelling stuff, so we hired David Andersson who had filled in for us before.
After that, touring kind of came to a grinding halt. The rest of us didn’t know what to do. It was just kind of rough to be in this position all of a sudden, with a great album and no tours to support it and a shaky line-up. Less than a year earlier, we were all stoked about our future together, you know? We talked and tried to figure things out, and in the end, long story short, Peter couldn’t commit to what the rest of us feel is mandatory for Soilwork. Here’s the thing: whether we like it or not, we have to tour. There’s just no two ways about it. Playing shows, a lot of shows, is vital if we wanna have the slightest chance to survive as a band. That’s why moving on was really our only option.More...
