Subrosa has completed work on a new full-length album titled “More Constant Than The Gods.” Profound Lore Records comments on the coming release:
"Following up 2011’s 'No Help For The Mighty Ones,' an album which brought more recognition to the Salt Lake City contingent and became one of the most acclaimed doom metal-related albums of that year, 'More Constant Than The Gods' not only sees Subrosa delivering their heaviest and darkest album to date, but taking their playing and composition to a new level by adding more depth and substance to their music which comprises influences of doom metal, rock, chamber music, Americana folk/goth, and Appalachian murder balladry.
"Armed with a massive low-end rhythm section that interweaves with two electric violins in counterpoint and topped with siren-like vocals, 'More Constant Than The Gods' (which was tracked by drummer Andy Patterson and mixed and mastered by Marduk bass player Devo Andersson in Sweden) will define Subrosa as one of the most enrapturing and haunting bands in the doom movement today."

Miami psychedelic noise conjurers Orbweaver are readying the release of their "Strange Transmissions from the Neuralnomicon" EP. The following press release was issued about the EP:
"A maniacal journey through modulating realities, the five-track mind eraser was recorded at Miami’s Pinecrust Studios with Jonathan Nunez of Torche at the controls and mixed/mastered with Brian Elliot at Mana Recording Studios (Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore, Exhumed). Orbweaver’s tones spiral through the realms of psychedelia, noise, and a warped interpretation of death metal. Fluctuating between these erratic, trance-like elements, the foursome produce an eclectic sonic ruckus reminiscent of a Zappa-esque brand of controlled chaos. Strange Transmissions from the Neuralnomicon will be unleashed August 2nd in a limited run of 100 cassette tapes via Primitive Violence Records and on CD direct through the band."

Although the comeback EP of U.S. death metal act Rottrevore was recorded back in March 2011 and planned for a summer release through Xtreem Music, several problems made it impossible to see release until now.
The "Hung by the Eyesockets" EP is now coming in August 2013, and was recorded & produced by Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studio in Florida. The initial release will be on CD format, with a special vinyl edition coming down the line. Xtreem Music comments:
"One of these problems that delayed this release was the cover artwork and after trying three artists, the band decided to use the skills of Juanjo Castellano who again proved to be one of the most renowned artists in extreme Metal, creating another sick piece of art.
"Originally entitled 'Blind Sided Attack,' this EP changed its name to 'Hung by the Eyesockets,' so for those who might think this is a different release, don't worry it's the same one. This release will coincide with Rottrevore's very first and only European appearance ever at KillTown Deathfest in Denmark next 30th of August."
The release date for "Hung by the Eyesockets" is planned for August 8th and an advance track can be heard below. More...
"Serpent Reaper," the new video from Cleveland, Ohio-based thrashers Soulless, can now be seen below.
The song comes off the band's fourth full-length album, "In Death's Grip," which was released on April 23rd via Auburn Records. The video was directed by Kristoff Bates for Black Arts Media. It was filmed on location in Cleveland at the House Of Wills, an abandoned former funeral home built in the early 1900's.
"You have to see this place to believe it," says Auburn Records president Bill Peters. "It's a massive structure that was originally built in 1900 as a German opera house. 35 rooms in an abandoned funeral home with multiple basements, attics, hidden passageways, rotting floors, unexplained cold temperatures, no water or electricity, empty caskets and a crematorium. It looks as if the funeral home owners literally left in the middle of the night some 20 years ago. Many of their things are still there. This is officially the creepiest and craziest place I have ever been to in my life. The real deal in horror. Words cannot even begin to describe. Being locked up in that place for two full nights was a mind altering experience - let me tell you! The smell of evil is everywhere. The perfect location for a Soulless video shoot."
Asked his opinion about the strongest material on "In Death’s Grip," vocalist Jim Lippuci doesn’t hesitate, stating: "Serpent Reaper is one of my favorites. I utilized some lyrics I had kicking around, a ghost story. The name actually comes from a nickname that a friend of our guitarist Wayne (Richards) gave me. I have no idea what it means, but thought it sounded cool as Hell, so I incorporated it into the song. That one has all the stuff we like about Soulless. It has melody, slower parts, faster stuff. Most people agree, that’s one of the stronger songs on the album." More...

After establishing a lineup in 2010 the band began writing material under the name Dichotomy to suitably describe the contrasting styles used in the music. Summer 2012 bore the fruits of their hard labour as the band took up residence at the world renowned Westland Studios in Dublin to record 'Paradigms' with producer Alwyn Walker." More...
