Argentinian band Wulfshon released its debut full length "Prinnit Mittilagart" on its own in a very limited pressing back in the autumn of 2011. Recently, the band signed with Art Gates Records and will have distribution by Pest Promotions. Now "Prinnit Mittilagart" is available in Europe and the rest of the world. Wulfshon also will be putting on a couple of summer shows in its home country in the cities of Rosario and the capital, which are posted below. Wulfshon got its start in 2009, playing its first show next to Skyclad. A few EP's followed until last year's debut. Check out "Cosmos Generallis" from the full-length after the jump.

Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe, who was arrested at the Prague, Czech Republic airport last week and charged with manslaughter stemming from an onstage incident with a fan at a show in 2010 after which the fan died of a head injury, posted 4 million Czech Karuna bail (approximately $200,000) today. However, he won't be able to return home yet; considered a flight risk, Blythe will have to remain in the Czech Republic pending further court action.
According to a report by Blesk.cz, Blythe must remain in the Pankrác Prison in Prague for at least the next ten days. According to Judge Petr Fassati of Prague 8 district court, "There may well be certain conditions placed upon [Blythe's] release, such as staying in the Czech Republic, or the availability of a specific address. If the conditions are violated, it could lead to an international arrest warrant being issued." If convicted he faces up to ten years in jail.
The rest of the band flew back home to Virginia yesterday, and upon their arrival guitarist Mark Morton posted the following message on Twitter: "Finally HOME! 4/5 of us anyway. I can't wait to give Randy a big bear hug and kiss his pointy, stubbly face! Thanx for all the support y'all! Flooded with questions about Randy. I truly understand and appreciate [your] concern. But it would be irresponsible for me to comment on any of it. Again….thank y'all SOOOO much for your love and support during these difficult times. It means the world to us."

From the completely mainstream outfits with a horde of fans to basement one-man acts, heavy metal is composed of a vast multitude of bands – and the number of metal groups continues to constantly grow. Every week we unearth three bands to help expand your metallic horizons and introduce you to styles and sounds you might not have heard otherwise.
Last week we covered groups that blend together a variety of genre styles and break trends within metal, including Germ and Vintage Flesh, two bands that utilize very odd vocal styles. While it can be argued that any extreme metal band uses vocals that most would consider bizarre, there are vocalists within the world of heavy music who go much further and produce sounds that even hardened underground metal lovers may find shocking.
From avant-garde groups like Peccatum with purposefully off-key singing, to the gut-busting and throat-shredding growls of black metal bands like Marduk, there are plenty of new vocal varieties to discover while journeying through the many sub-genres of metal. This week we’ll take a look at three lesser known bands that use vocals you are almost guaranteed to never hear anywhere else.
Taking the concept of evil atmosphere to an entirely new level, Abruptum was a group primarily active in the ‘90s that puts most black metal acts to shame and released its early material through the infamous Deathlike Silence Productions. Rather than evil guitar sounds and high pitched screams, Abruptum uses bizarrely distorted vocals and shrieks of agonized pain – and rumors persist that the screams are authentic due to self-inflicted wounds in the studio.
Listening to Abruptum albums all the way the through really requires a specific mood, as song structures and melody are pretty much thrown out the window in favor of highly chaotic musical expressions. If you’ve got the candles lit and the razors handy, dip into the madness of Abruptum through the clips below.
Sweden's Diabolical has posted an in-studio clip from the recording of new "Neogenesis," which can be viewed below. The band also commented:
"The title is, as some of you managed to figure out – NEOGENESIS. Apart from being a physiological term, the title translates to 'new beginning.' The word originates from greek and latin and it marks a new beginning for DIABOLICAL in many ways. Furthermore the title has a much more profound significance to the theme and concept of this album. We have already recorded the basics for the whole album, and the full track listing is below."
1. Into Oblivion
5. World in Silence
6. Reincarnation of the Damned
7. Fields of Nihil
8. Dialogue with the Dead

Starting with debut full-length "By Honour" (reviewed here), Sweden's Ereb Altor has been on a journey of musical discovery as the band breaks away from the doom sound of primary act Isole and heads into faster, more black metal influenced territory. While sophomore effort "The End" was originally meant to cap Ereb Altor's activity, inspiration struck again and now the band has released a third album, "Gastrike."
With the third release out now, Ereb Altor's Ragnar granted an interview to Metalunderground.com to discuss how the group's sound has evolved, why a new album happened at all, and how the band recently changed from a duo to a trio. Check out the full interview below. More...

Borland and co. have also launched their new website, which will be hosting the download.

In 2012 BLB returned with the track “It Rapes All In Its Path” on the Underworld: Awakening soundtrack, and the announcement of the impending release of a new LP. “This is a really personal record for me, I spent three years writing it and trying to find the right home, and I am confident it’s the best Black Light Burns record yet.” says Borland.

Upstate NY doom metal cultists Gunther Weezul have entered the studio to begin recording their 3rd full length album "Join Us." Vocalist/Reverend Jann Kasey Dorr comments, "Join us to usher in the end of days with Gunther Weezul who is currently recording the soundtrack to the apocalypse in a secret underground studio."
Gunther Weezul has also officially announced the addition of new members to the fold, Joe Keyser
of Relapse recording artists Skinless and Kevin Carley of Wasteform. They join existing members-
Guitarist Adam Gregoire (also of hardcore heavy hitters Brawler) and Jann Kasey Dorr (formally
of Section 8), making the band a "super group" of Upstate NY extreme musicians.
"We cordially invite you to welcome our new line up featuring Joe Keyser- former maniac bassist
of Skinless and Kevin Carley former drummer of the disgustingly brutal Wasteform," says Rev
Dorr. "With the addition of these new members to our cult...Gunther Weezul is unquestionably a band not to be fucked with..." More...
Axemaster has posted a demo song online titled "Bed of Nails," which can be heard in the player below. The band commented:
"Since Axemaster has made it a point to take their time recording and producing the new album and it will still be a while before it's completed, they decided that in the meantime it's important for people to have the opportunity to hear what the current version of Axemaster sounds like together.
"As it turns out, a couple years ago Joe, Brian, and Jim re-recorded the music of an old Axemaster song that was originally released in 1989 ('Bed of Nails' from 'Death Before Dishonor') for possible use in another project. That recording never ended up being used but the tracks were saved in the archives. So Joe completely re-mixed the bass and drums and re-recorded the guitar, Tony added the vocals and mastered it, and now the song is being offered to the public as a free download at Reverbnation or Facebook.
"Along with being a thank you to all the fans who have supported the band for many years, giving the song away will give as many people as possible the chance to listen to a sample of the new Axermaster. So everyone is welcome and encouraged to share the MP3 in any way (forwarding it to other people, posting it on any websites, etc.). It would be very helpful and much appreciated! More...

Philadelphia metal band Single Bullet Theory has posted a music video for the song "Edge of Broken" online. The single can be purchased on their BandCamp page.
Guitarist/vocalist Matt DiFabio comments on the track, "This is the song that got the band moving again after an almost three year hiatus. Written about the rise and fall of Single Bullet Theory and the never say die approach that I (Matt DiFabio) has toward this band or my musical vision. I personally feel that this is one of the best SBT tracks ever recorded as it exemplifies exactly what this band is made of musically. This track really came to life by the help of Mr. John Ruszin III. Everyone reaches the 'Edge Of Broken' at one point in their life... It's all about what you do once you get there!"

With Windfaerer, he focused his energies on creating a melodic, blasting and emotional entity and eventually recruited like-minded musicians in violinist Benjamin Karas and drummer JP Andrade."
Gonçalves notes: “This music is a vessel for my expression. Windfaerer is not to follow trends or be part of a scene of some sort; it is about independence and being true. Solar feels like a healthy progression for Windfaerer’s music,” he continues. “I’ve included more input from my bandmates in the writing process and we’re excited to show the world our brand of metal with this EP. We are more energized than ever to keep creating.” More...

Today Dew-Scented has post the second single taken off new album "Icarus." Premiered by Rock Hard magazine Germany, click here to check out "Thrown To The Lions." Dew-Scented vocalist Leif Jensen comments:
“TTTL is among my personal fave-tracks on ‘Icarus’ and one that we all knew right away would become a good addition for our new live-set! This song is viciously straight-forward and comes with some pretty wicked guitar riffing. Lyrically the edge was to portray the truly barbaric bloodlust in ancient times at gladiator fights and the brutality of the so-called ‘damnatio ad bestias’. That’s some of the most extreme punishment in history, especially since it was turned into such a public celebration ritual! It’s definitely a gruesome topic that effortlessly supports the heaviness of the song…and the subliminal tortured screams on the second lead-guitar part are quite intense too!”
"Icarus" will be released as a limited first edition digipak including 3 bonus tracks as well as on vinyl (black and limited coloured versions) on July, 27th/30th via Metal Blade Records in Europe. The track listing is as follows: More...

American black metal band Abigail Williams has checked in with the following announcement about disbanding and forming new projects after a final U.S. tour:
"After much consideration we have decided to make these upcoming Abigail Williams shows our last US tour. This was a very hard decision to make but feels absolutely necessary at this point. I've had the best times of my life with this band and learned so much about what I want to do with music as well as what I don't like about the industry etc. and we honestly feel like its best to put the band to rest after making what we feel to be our very best album.
"I'm honestly just feeling satisfied with everything we have done as Abigail Williams and I feel ready to put it to rest. We want everyone to know this has nothing to do with differences inside the band as we are still very much a family and these are still the same people I want to make music with now and in the future.
"We think that 2012 is the perfect year for new beginnings and we definitely plan to put music out later this year in the form of a new band(s). It would be easy to give people the names to our new projects here but rather than capitalize off this announcement we would rather word get out naturally starting with our friends when the time is right. We want to thank our friends and fans who have supported us through the good and bad times over the years, we know its been a very bumpy road at times. We are still very dedicated to making music and this change will actually allow us to do more of what we want to do and be more productive.
"We hope to see everyone on the road for this tour that we booked DIY for the most part by ourselves. The dates are below even though some of them are still waiting to be confirmed. Also we want to emphasize that this is our last US tour and that we are open to touring overseas if the right tour comes up."

Canadian act Dead and Divine has issued the following announcement about a farewell tour after previously announcing plans to call it quits:
"Hey folks, so we wanted to clear a few things up and try to explain what's been goin' on with us over the last few months. When we announced our 'Final hometown show,' we meant just that. It was the absolute last time we'll ever be playing Burlington in Dead and Divine, and we did our best to be very specific when we made that announcement. Come on yuh silly lil' geese. A few of you caught on (well, just read what we wrote word for word), but a lot of you seemed to be surprised when we announced that we'd be playing SCENE Fest for the last time. Again, we very intentionally announced it as our final SCENE Fest and not our final show. We used them there smart mouth-words and we MAY have known some of you would interpret it wrong, but hey, we're sneaky old fuckers and that's what we do. We're all up in your head-meat pokin' around, toyin' with your gutty works. But really, we've been great friends with the organizers at SCENE for years and they had asked us to play long before we decided to break up. It was a commitment we made and wanted to keep, and we thought it would be a great way to play for all of the kids who couldn't get tickets to the Burlington show before it sold out.
"Anyways, the truth is we weren't sure whether or not we'd be doing a farewell tour. All of our heads were a bit out of whack, and we had decided to step away from this for a while to - hopefully - gain some perspective and figure out what we wanted to do. The response we got when we announced that we'd be hangin' it up was shocking and it really, really means the world to us that you all care so much about this band.
"That, coupled with how incredible the Burlington show was made it pretty clear that we couldn't leave Canada hangin'. You all helped us build this from nothing, and we want you to help us finish it. You didn't REALLY think we'd just fart out in a week and play two randomly announced shows, did you? I know, I know, 'Yo Dead and Devine y u pretend u no play farewell tour, we knoe you gun do it!' You're right. Maybe we really love you all and maybe this relationship we've been workin' on with y'all over the years is a bit hard to just walk away from without seeing you face to face. Maybe we've been listening to a lot of John Mayer. Come slow dance in this, uh, burning room. With us. You know? Or something. Drum roll, please... More...
