Entitled "Nations To Flames," the 11 track follow-up to 2011 album "As The Valley Of Death Becomes Us, Our Silver Memories Fade" was recorded with Travis Kammeyer at Fahrenheit Studios, mixed with Matt Bayles at Red Room Recording, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Additionally, "Nations to Flames" features Soundgraden’s Kim Thayil and Indian/Nachtmystium’s Will Lindsay on select tracks.
Comments A Storm of Light founding guitarist/vocalist Josh Graham: "These songs are much more focused. Even the more ‘epic’ songs are shorter but still accomplish the same journey as the longer songs used to. We’ve ditched the rock elements of the last record and let our early influences of Killing Joke, Bad Brains, Metallica and Crash Worship seep in. We are bringing back the intensity of Black Ocean but with the speed and precision ore akin to our metal influences. While there are still some slower/sludgy tunes, some songs are twice as fast as the older material."
The track listing is as follows:
2. Apostles Of Hatred
3. The Fire Sermon
5. Dead Flags
6. All the Shining Lies
10. You Are The Hunted
11. The Year Is One More...

Late 60s/early 70s classic rock band Leaf Hound will be making its live return, as frontman Pete French, and the rest of the band have joined forces with Ripple Music to release an LP, CD, DVD project of all newly recorded concert material titled "Live in Japan." Recorded live in July of 2012 in Tokyo, "Live in Japan" will see worldwide release later this year via Ripple Music.
Few bands from the proto-metal period command the undying respect and nods of approval as does Leaf Hound. The band formed in 1969 under its original name Black Cat Bones. Early incarnations of Black Cat Bones featured guitarist Paul Kossoff and drummer Simon Kirke who both left to form Free. Black Cat Bones issued one album then replaced its vocalist with Peter French, while guitarist Rod Price departed soon after to join Foghat. French soon after added his cousin Mick Halls on guitar. With that change, Leaf Hound was born.
In 1970, Leaf Hound released the seminal album "Growers of Mushrooms" which has rightly been hailed as a bonafide classic of the 70's British underground rock scene. After the band broke up, Peter French became the voice of Atomic Rooster, Cactus and Randy Pie as well as having released an acclaimed solo album on Polydor, "Ducks In Flight," which featured the likes of Micky Moody, Brian Robertson and Kenny Jones.
Interest in the band took a seismic shift when the album was first re-released on CD in 1994, finally giving rock fans easy access to the buried treasure. It gained a second re-release in 2005. Following intense public demand, Pete French put a new version of Leaf Hound together in the Spring of 2004, and in 2007 Leaf Hound released its first new album in decades, "Unleashed," on the R.A.R.E/Repertoire label. To launch the release of the album, they headlined the second night of the All Hallows Festival at London's Camden Underworld.
Australian goregrind veterans The Day Everything Became Nothing are currently working on their fourth album. The band already has three songs completed and has issued the following statement:

We hope you all enjoyed that and hopefully thats enough to keep you goregrinders happy while we continue working and writing for the new album due for release later this year! whoa yeah! We've got 3 new songs done and we'll be back cranking out some new tunes next week."
