Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie are hitting the road together this fall, co-headlining the “Twins of Evil” tour.
Kicking off September 28th when both Zombie and Manson co-headline the first day of the Desert Uprising Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, expect defiant rock’n'roll showmanship in the form of these unholy rollers with the first U.S. date wrapping in Dallas on Halloween, October 31st. For tickets on sale and purchasing info, log onto Marilynmanson.com or Robzombie.com.
“Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It’s happening now,” stated Zombie. “If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this fucking tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”
“I have sympathy for the Whore of Babylon that gave birth to these twins of evil, and this abomination of a tour,” says Marilyn Manson. “There is no babysitter, and there is no repairing her womb. If Rob Zombie doesn’t fuck you up, than I surely will. Hide all drugs and firearms… I’m coming to town."
J Devil, the DJ alter ego of KoRn’s frontman Jonathan Davis, will support the Manson/Zombie dates with his chaotic electro-metal. “I like to think of JDevil as the ‘anti-christ’ of EDM,” he said. “To play alongside Zombie and Manson is going to be a fucking sinister night all around, and an unbelievable theatrical experience. I can’t wait.”
With more to be announced, dates for the “Twins of Evil” tour are as follows: More...

Chicago's After the Spire has issued the following announcement about calling it quits:
"After the Spire is no longer. Due to a person ready to move on and step away from music we are regretfully calling it quits. There is no hate amongst us, and we will continue to remain friends and support each other.
"We made one hell of a fucking run in just one year of being together. We recorded two awesome albums, met and shared the stage with tons of musicians. We toured with Sumerian and Metal Blade artists, we were featured on countless websites/blogs/magazines you name it. For this we have to thank you guys, our dedicated fans. We wouldn't even have made it this far without you guys.
"Due to the sudden change of things, the band as a whole and individuals will more than likely move on from music and start focusing on a life and career for ourselves and families. It truly breaks my heart typing this right now, and I feel even worse for our fans awaiting our next tour, or album or whatever. This band was my life, it was our lives and we've all sacrificed a great deal to make this get to were it is today. I've posted all our songs up for listening and download.
"Our next and last show will be July 28th at the Badabrew in Crest Hill, IL. Come out for one last time, hang out and say goodbye. To our non local fans we truely love you, and everything you've done for us. Metal bleeds through our veins, it will continue to be part of my life, as well as the other musicians. I will not put down my guitar as well as anybody else give up their respected instruments. Thank you guys again, we had a fucking awesome time! These will be the last shows that we play:
July 21st Jj Kellys Lansing, Ill 21+
July 28th Bada Brew Crest Hill, Ill 21+
"Come have a good time with us for the last time."

"We Are The Others is an album littered with concepts in every aspect, from lyrically bridging fantasy with reality and actual events in history, to the steampunk-influenced cover art created by noted pop surrealist Glenn Arthur. DELAIN enlisted a massive production team for the recording, including Jacob Hellner (Rammstein, Apocalyptica), Fredrik Thomander and Anders Wikstrom (Scorpions, Backyard Babies), bringing every element of the album to life. According to an article in The Gauntlet, Randy Blythe will have another bail hearing on Thursday, July 19th. The municipal court's three judge panel won't be convening until that date, so Randy will have his third shot at having his bail upheld. Even if the bail is upheld, the prosecutor can still have another court to rule on top of the municipal ruling. Blythe has been held for fifteen days in detention without an official charge being filed by the prosecutor's office, and has his U.S. attorney and two Czech lawyers assisting him with his case.
Czech courts deny bail when one is charged with murder (as opposed to manslaughter), terrorism and rape. They also will not grant bail when there is a danger of recidivism, tainting witnesses or fleeing the country. The video footage in question does not show Randy lifting a finger to the decedent (Daniel), and shows a security guard hired by the venue throwing him headfirst upon his third time jumping on stage and him staggering thereafter with a large gash on his head.

Austrian act Dragony will be releasing debut album "Legends" in North America this coming August 14th, 2012. The following press release was issued about the band and album:
"What first began as a project in the idyllic alpine republic has solidified into a real band. Everyone knows that Austrians don't do things half-heartedly and it was only to be expected that the former Dragonslayer Poject had evolved into a solid lineup by 2008. Since then the road led ever upwards for the six lads from Vienna. Being professional enough to recognize that the band name was a bit bulky, they changed it to Dragony in 2011 and continued their march forward. Their excellently produced debut album comprised of melodic, symphonic power metal with traditional character which stands up well against comparisons with the productions of long-standing international acts.
"So it is also no wonder that the Dragony musicians have become well known on the Austrian circuit. Legends combines the entire know-how of the six lads in ten songs, which span sounds from tough heaviness to high-powered melody lines. Overall, Legends can be summed up as high quality, symphonic power metal with ass-kicking melody inserts, powerful guitars and lyrics with insight.
"The work on the debut album lasted until the end of 2011, but for good reasons: They had been able to talk numerous guest musicians into contributing their skills, for example Tom Tieber of Ecliptica, Katie Joanne of Siren's Cry and naturally Ralf Scheepers of Primal Fear, all of whom give their best on the album, as do many other guest musicians from the Austrian scene. And it is exactly because of these additional performances by their guests, that the material retains a certain rock opera character. Fine-tuning the result was carried out by Mika Jussila during his wonderful mastering work in the Finnvox Studios in Helsinki.
"Legends unites a powerful wall of guitars with huge choruses in songs, which are predominantly kept in mid-tempo style. The impressive, charismatic voice of Siegfried 'The Dragonslayer' Samer, is hugely admirable, with its incredible volume driving every song forward. After a classical intro, Dragony get down to business with 'Burning Skies,' a bone-shaking, fast power metal number with a great rhythm, gilded by the exceptional voice of Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear). Job For A Cowboy is currently readying for a month-long Summer Slaughter trek, set to commence next week in Los Angeles. Bassist Nick Schendzielos will be forced to sit out part of the run due to a family emergency, and the band will be joined temporarily by The Red Chord guitarist Mike "Gunface" McKenzie.
Comments Schendzielos: "Hey friends: On June 28, immediately after landing in Boston to rehearse for Puerto Rico/Summer Slaughter, my girlfriend was in a head-on collision on her scooter. She sustained very serious head and bodily injuries. I flew right home, and we've been in the ICU for a week and are still in the hospital to make sure everything is okay. She needs 24/7 supervision for at least two weeks once we get out of here, so I'm very grateful to announce that Gunface from The Red Chord is going to help me out filling in on Summer Slaughter until I can meet back up with it. We love the dude very much and it's going to be really cool for both JFAC and TRC fans to see. Enormous thanks for understanding this difficult situation and I'll be back as soon as possible!"
Adds McKenzie: "I'm excited to be playing with JFAC on this tour. Great dudes in this band as well as in the bands on Summer Slaughter. Playing bass is a little different for me but definitely an interesting challenge. I'm definitely looking forward to getting out on the road again. Nick's bass work is incredible and I'm working hard to get all of his parts down. Sending positive vibes out to him and his lady."

Periphery recently released the new album "Periphery II," and guitarist Misha Mansoor has been posting a series of breakdowns for each track. You can read the previous explanation of "Have A Blast" here, and Misha had this to say about the song "Ji:"
"I have owned 8 strings for a while now, but I have found it hard to write with them for 2 reasons. One, it's pretty hard to escape the Nothing era Meshuggah sound, because that is what that range is offering you, and those notes are so low that you can't move around too much, or it all gets lost. Two, I just couldn't figure out a tuning that was inspiring and that would also work well given that anything below an F# is really pushing what you can hear on the bass if you want to maintain the octave relationship of the guitar and bass.
"Funny enough, it was tuning my 8 string to standard that opened up a world for me given that most of the time I'm in dropped tuning. The first few riffs of this song just came out of nowhere while i was watching TV and jamming, and the chorus was a rather strange progression but it worked in an Extolish kind of way. Thinking back, I remember thinking that Spencer was going to have to do something interesting over that chorus because it just didn't sound like it was going to end up being very melodic, at least not in a traditional sense. In actuality, he ended up writing one of my favorite choruses of the album over that section, and it ended up being surprisingly catchy.
"Following that section, I wanted to try something a bit different, I wanted something where the bass would be carrying the rhythm and melody, and the 3 guitars could focus on pretty clean layers and outlining chords that fit the mood I wanted, and ended up with a rather interesting progression. After demoing the song, I told Mark I wanted that section to repeat, but with a rhythm line that kinda just went off, almost like a 'rhythm solo,' and boy did he go to town on that!
"That whole middle section only got better with Spencer's vocal ideas, and I think that is personally one of my favorite moments on the new album, and it covers some ground that Periphery hadn't previously explored. I also think that writing this song opened up a lot of ideas on how an 8 string can be effectively used in a way that a downtuned 6 or 7 string cannot, and I am extremely happy with how this song came out. On a lot of days, it is my personal favorite from this album." More...

I will post everything I did as soon as its either in print or online. If you have any other questions for me, the band or the musicians, please post them on our official Facebook page.
