Danish death metal mercenaries Panzerchrist have set August 13th as the North American release date for their seventh album, aptly entitled "The 7th Offensive." For a taste of things to come, the band and Listenable Records hooked up with GunShyAssassin.com for the premier of the album's title track. Stream the song here.
Panzerchrist used three different studio to complete their new assault. Guitars and bass were recorded in the Igloo by HR Swan, drums were recorded at AMP studio by Jens Förster and Markus Ziemer, while vocals and the final mix were done in Death Island Studio with engineer Marco Angioni.
Although very extreme musically on a constant basis, Panzerchrist has never quite done the same album twice. "The 7th Offensive" shows a slightly more melodic and evil approach to the guitars; enhancing the grey, sinister feel of a battlefield. The band's intended bleak sound was without a doubt achieved. The album also sees Panzerchrist return to the ultra-guttural and pure death metal styled vocals. As the band says, "The war is over Let's start a new one. Death forever, Panzer!"

Portland, Oregon doom band Booze Lords has just issued its eleven-song debut release "Legion of the Tankard" over on bandcamp. Booze Lords is the twin effort of multi-instrumentalist Inebrion and vocalist Drunkus Crom. Inebrion claims that he started Booze Lords last year after he passed out in a drunken stupor and was visited by an apparition resembling several different rock frontmen. That ghost taught Inebrion how to play musical instruments, which he previously had never picked up. Listen to all of Booze Lords' alcohol-fueled paeans below.
The world exclusive play of Revolution Harmony's single "We Are" will air on Kerrang Radio - The Matt Stocks show on Monday June 10th, at 7:00 pm. Revolution Harmony, the brainchild of British music lecturer/journalist Ray Holroyd, has announced the July 18th release of its debut All-Star charity single, "We Are." The song features vocals from Serj Tankian (System Of A Down) and Ihsahn (Emperor), as well as guitar solos by Devin Townsend.
Composed, arranged, programmed and produced by Ray Holroyd in Vancouver, the complex international studio project was recorded in North America, England, Norway and New Zealand, then mixed by Rohan Onraet (Slipknot, Machine Head) in London, and mastered by Ted Jensen (Green Day, Muse) in New York. The single also features Stefan Loh (We Claimed Sentience Once) on guitars, and additional vocals from the young up-and-coming UK singer Abbie Johnson.
The lyrical theme in "We Are" is based on the concept behind Revolution Harmony, which is essentially the belief that musical harmony has the power to inspire a revolution towards societal harmony. The single is dedicated to Nelson Mandela and the memory of Lucky Dube, regarded as South Africa's Bob Marley, and will be released worldwide on Mandela Day (July 18th), with all proceeds donated to Buskaid, a charity that provides free music lessons and instruments to children in the townships of South Africa.
Serj Tankian speaks about his involvement with Revolution Harmony: "It has been an absolute honor being involved with the Revolution Harmony project to bring much needed financial aid to Buskaid in South Africa. Music has saved my life and has the potential to create positive change in all those young kids struggling to make themselves heard and to survive." He continues on the single itself: "The song is a musical collage of complex yet moving colors intertwining genres and vibes."
Ray Holroyd comments: "Revolution Harmony is a dream come true, it's the perfect harmonious marriage of my two callings: making music and making a positive change in the world! 'We Are' is the first milestone for Revolution Harmony, and to share it with three of my musical heroes, Serj, Ihsahn and Devin, who all believe in my vision, is deeply heartwarming and humbling. These musicians are overflowing with talent and compassion, and I am eternally grateful and monumentally honoured to have had them contribute to my cause by singing and playing on a piece of my music. The goal for these All-Star charity singles is to raise significant funds for various smaller charities, by making/selling creative and meaningful music that features rare collaborations by inspirational artists."
"We Are" has also become an official event for Mandela Day. Tune in to Kerrang Radio on Monday, June 10th, to hear the premiere of the single.

Massacre Records has inked a deal with Swiss act Crystal Ball, and the record label comments:
"Everything started back in 1995, when Crystal Ball was a cover band named Cherry Pie. They used their stage experiences as foundation for Crystal Ball, who soon became one of Europe's major forces in the hard rock genre.
"Their successful debut album 'In The Beginning' was released in 1999, followed by the even more successful 'Hard Impact' in 2000. They soon signed with Nuclear Blast and toured with bands such as U.D.O., Doro and Axxis. After the release of their fifth album, 'Timewalker,' Crystal Ball went on their first headliner tour with Thunderstone.
"In 2007, Crystal Ball signed with AFM Records and released their sixth album 'Secrets.' Now, in 2013, the band's back with a brand new line-up featuring a great new vocalist, Steven Mageney.
"They're currently working on their seventh album, which is set to be released later this year via Massacre Records!"
Crystal Ball is:
Markus Flury - Lead & Rhythm Guitar
Marcel Sardella - Drums
Steven Mageney - Vocals
Scott Leach - Lead & Rhythm Guitar

North Carolina’s rogue sludge trio Weedeater today confirms a brand new load of debauchery-ridden live gigs for the Summer season.
Sponsored by Invisible Oranges, the shit hits the fan June 27th in Savanna, Georgia, when Weedeater hits the stage with ASG, heading out for fourteen dates through the Deep South and up the West Coast to Seattle. Following that is an eight-city stretch with no direct opening support through Canada and the Midwest, and then wrapping up the trek is another eight-date run with Lo Pan providing support. More...
In just a little over a week, Norwegian black ‘n’ roll legion Vreid will take the band's sonic mayhem to North America alongside headliners Melechesh.
Set to commence June 16th in Los Angeles, California, the roadside assault includes over two weeks of live devastation. Additional support will come from Lightning Swords Of Death and Reign Of Lies. Comments Vreid bassist Hváll of the upcoming journey:
"We are thrilled to return to the Wild West; it will be a blast! We have had some great shows over there before, and can’t wait to return. We have our best album freshly released, and are ready to unleash these new songs plus old warrior themes for you. Unfortunately our rock solid drummer Steingrim has to sit out this tour due to work-related issues. He will surely be missed, but we have been aware of this for a while and have the perfect replacement for him. Tomas Myklebust will join us for this tour. Myklebust is a maestro drummer who did the UK tour with us last year when we toured with Paradise Lost. He did a splendid job then, and has worked his ass off rehearsing the new material. Hope to see you on the road."
