U.K. metallers Awake have checked in with the following statement about their appearance at the Wisbech festival:
"Hello, we would like to thank you to everybody that made it down to the rather wet Wisbech rock festival yesterday (6.6.10). We were very disappointed to only play four songs out of a planned hour and a half set. This was totally out of our control. The festival was in running late due to power problems earlier in the day and just before going on we were told that the power would be cut early regardless of our protests.

Oprhand Land has issued the following announcement about canceling their appearance at the Sonisphere Istanbul festival:
"Merhaba, shalom & salam to all our beloved fans & friends. 2 weeks ago, we were the happiest band on earth when we were announced to Sonisphere Istanbul, we all waited for this moment for so long. Then, a political fucked up crisis started between our countries and a whole chaos started to go on and unfortunately still goes on till that moments.
"After a few days of rumors we were sadly announced today that the security company who is responsible of the festival cannot guarantee our safety during the fest and therefore our show had to be delayed from this year…
"You have to know that, we, Orphaned Land, we felt safe and we 100% wanted to come despite all, to have that show for the purpose of peace, friendship and brotherhood of our nations. The facts are that this is a big festival, with many people and many bands, and the security company didn't want to risk all of that just because of us. We couldn't agree with it, but we fully understand it and respect it. Yet, we and Purple productions, are very sad, it is such a strange feeling not to be able to play in Turkey, this is our second home! More...

The organizers of the East Riding Rock 2010 festival, which was scheduled to take place from July 16th - 18th, have issued the following update about canceling the festival:
"It is with great regret that we have to announce that the 2010 East Riding rock festival has been canceled, we were going to put a statement up this weekend once we had ensured all the bands had heard, but as usual someone got wind on Facebook and quite frankly couldn't hold their own piss and blabbed it everywhere. The reasons behind this are spiraling costs and poor pre-festival ticket sales, we can't even cover our pre-festival overheads ( some of which we will still have to pay from our own pockets).
"Anyone who has bought a ticket will receive a full refund! It will take us a few weeks to sort this out so please be patient but rest assured no one will be ripped off. Any band who hasn't had a personal email yet they are on the way this is a hasty blog to stay any rumors that a flying around. there will be a longer full statement in due course. Once again we are sorry that it has come to this but financially the festival was unavailable." More...

MyGrain has entered the studio to record the third album. Read a studio blog at this location.
Read an except from the studio blog below:
"This is the day that everyone's been waiting for over two years now, the recordings of the third MyGrain album are about to start! We can tell you that we're surely not the ones who have been waiting for this the least. The last year and a half or so that we have been writing and putting the new songs together, hasn't been the easiest time for the band. As our sound has taken huge steps forward to more progressive and complex direction, it has meant that finding the last forms of the songs has been way more difficult than before. All this has taken a lot more effort than we could have imagined when the first chords were composed and we're relieved that the biggest work is now behind. All we have to do now is to try to play the hard shit we've been working with during this long period, ha! The forthcoming months will show us, whether we have trained enough or not." More...

Brisbane’s Brazen Bull has announced that Weldon MacDonald of Adratic will be joining the band on vocals, stating "After a long search, and countless auditions, we have finally found someone who displays the intensity and forward thinking style we were looking for."
The band is currently working with the new vocalist on the pre-production of their upcoming release "The Traveling Parasite," due out later this year. More live shows are also on the horizon.
You can purchase Brazen Bull’s current 5-track release for only $5 from their online store, and you can hear some of Weldon’s vocals over at the Adriatic Myspace. Check out some of Brazen Bull's older material on their own MySpace page.
