Vocalist Rob Pease of U.K. based act Adust has issued the following announcement about leaving the band:
"I am very sad to announce that as of today I am no longer an Adust member! There are many reasons for my decision to leave, I cannot speak for the other members but I personally feel that the collective drive and ambition to move forward has come to an end, which unfortunately also means that the enjoyment and excitement has also come to an end, which is a real shame.
"I gave Adust four years of my life, many good times and even a few bad times but I can honestly, hand on heart say that I am extremely proud of what Adust and myself managed to achieve within those years, but for me nothing can beat the buzz of sharing the stage with your friends!
"I wish Adust every success for the future and I hope they find a replacement soon, whoever they choose I hope everyone welcomes the new vocalist and that he/she gets given the same amount of love and respect that has been shown towards myself. More...

"Because of some painful moments that I'm living in this period I wanted to record a new EP. This is a tribute to a very important person, now she's flying on the wind's wings and I wanted to thank her for what she did for me during her life. I wouldn't be who I am without her help. The music is very different from my old works, it will be a 3 track EP. This will be the only chance for you for listen to the painful side of my music, there won't be another EP like this one. At the moment there's no release date.
"In 2005 I started my first project called Vollmond. I recorded in 2006 a 2 track demo which wasn't released because I started the 'Blaze Of Sorrow's journey".' As some of you know the music is very different from the B.O.S. one. But now Vollmond has risen again. I recorded 2 new songs and thanks also to Pest (Inverno) who will sing on them, this will be the return to the first darkness. You'll find news soon."

A video that clocks in at just over one minute in length was recently posted online that gives everyone ten really good reasons why metal is a bad thing. Of course, as soon as this video was unearthed, thousands upon thousands of metal fans immediately renounced their love of the genre... but enough of the sarcasm, if you can withstand horrible music, bad spelling and grammar, a bright pink background, an almost self-parodying username and awful "logic," then check out the video below to understand what's so bad about metal. Oakland, California deathcore outfit All Shall Perish has announced that they have recruited a new drummer, as well as a new touring guitarist, after their previous lead player Jason Richardson left the band. A message from the band reads as follows:
"So we're long due for an update on the currently happenings of All Shall Perish. Firstly, we're pleased to announce that Adam Pierce (Sea Of Treachery) has come onboard as our new drummer. Yes, this means that one of our original members, Matt Kuykendall, is no longer in the band. It's always tough to part ways with a long-time member and friend, but it was absolutely necessary in order to maintain forward progress. Also, as many of you may already know, our most recent lead guitarist, Jason Richardson, has left ASP and joined Born Of Osiris. That being said, we'd like you all to welcome Francesco Artusato, originally hailing from Treviso, Italy, as our new touring guitarist for the foreseeable future. This is the line-up you'll see throughout this year and hopefully well beyond. We feel great about these new additions and are confident that the ASP fans will make them feel welcome! There will be new photos and more updates coming soon. Come see us on Summer Slaughter and hang out!"

U.K. based act Baghera has issued the following statement about parting ways with their vocalist:
"We realize a lot of bands would rather write 'parted due to musical differences' etc... but that's not the case, so we aint going to say that. Sarge had been a good lifetime friend to most of us, so it was no easy choice. But to put it how it was, he was fucking shit. Shit lyrics, shit musicality, shit attitude. The dude has a good scream, but that's where the good ends I'm afraid. He had decided to pretty much abandon us at a personal level too, we just never saw the guy and he didn't give a fuck about us.
"We wish him luck, and if anyone is daft enough to take him on we wish them even more luck! Exciting new chapter for this band, we have some great new vocalists in mind! For the first time ever, the bands line up is going to fully awesome, no-one will be letting the side down! Keep posted for updates!"

When thinking about Australia's contribution to hard rock and heavy metal, 99% of people will instantly think of AC/DC, which is fair enough, but many of these same people tend to overlook another of the country's best exports, Rose Tattoo. Rose Tattoo were undeniably one of the hardest rocking bands to ever plug into an amp and they proved it by not just writing some fantastic songs, but by taking the stage with a ferocious attitude that bands like Guns 'N Roses would later be known for. The band was formed in 1976 in the city of Sydney by guitarist Peter Wells, who was formerly a member of the heavy metal band Buffalo. The original lineup also featured vocalist Tony Lake, guitarist Leigh Johnston, drummer Michael Vandersluys and bass player Ian Rilen, who taught himself the instrument while he was in prison. Johnston was soon to be replaced by Mick Cocks however, and shortly afterwards, more lineup changes occured, most notably the new addition of notorious frontman Gary "Angry" Anderson. The band released a single on Albert Productions named "Bad Boy For Love" after being recommended to the label by AC/DC. This would mark the only recording with Gilen, who left soon afterwards to form the punk rock band X.
Rose Tattoo followed the single by releasing a self-titled album in 1978, which entered the Australian Top 40 and began to become involved in social issues when they released a single supporting the legalisation of marijuana entitled, "Legalise Realise." A short while later, the band began to achieve success in foreign markets when their debut album, (re-released under the name Rock And Roll Outlaw) entered the British charts at number 60, the German charts at number five and the French charts at number two. They released a second album in 1981 named, "Assault And Battery" which entered the Australian Top 30 and topped the British heavy metal charts, just like the band's previous release. After gaining a following in Europe and the United Kingdom, the band recorded a third album, "Scarred For Life" and set their sights on the United States, supporting the likes of ZZ Top and Aerosmith. While the tours didn't prove to be the groundbreaking introduction they needed, they left a resounding impression on some audiences, particularly in Los Angeles, with many bands from the area later citing Rose Tattoo as an influence. Several lineup changes occured soon after they got back from the States and Anderson recorded what was intended to be a solo album named, "Beats From A Single Drum," however due to contractual issues, it was released under the Rose Tattoo moniker. The band split soon after and Anderson earned himself a hit single with the song "Suddenly" after it was used in the popular soap opera, "Neighbours."
A brief reunion happened in 1993 when Guns 'N Roses asked them to support the group on their Australian tour. Although the reformation didn't last as long as fans hoped, a second reunion occured in 1998, eventually resulting with the album, "Pain" in 2002, their first studio album in sixteen years, along with a live album entitled, "25 To Life." Although the band would suffer a set back when guitarist Peter Wells passed away in 2006, they soldiered on and released a new album, "Blood Brothers" in 2007. Sadly the band has been mainly inactive in recent months, owing to the death of guitarist Mick Cocks in December 2009. Though not as largely known by fans of heavy metal and hard rock audiences of today as they arguably should be, Rose Tattoo have undoubtedly carved a place in music history as one of the most aggressive, though simultaniously fun bands to ever emerge from Australia.
