"We are back from the Sweden Rock Festival 2009! This year we had a bigger adventure as a whole, both during the actual travel and also from the whole show itself. We travelled to Solvesborg on the 3rd of June and later that same day, at midnight, we were up on stage. It was a long travel and really awful weather, dull, rainy and cold. Although, we had lots of fun on the road as well!
"We were a bit worried about how we would manage to play in that cold in our thin clothes. We came to Solvesborg around 4 p.m., unloaded our stuff in the backstage area by the Alarm Stage and wandered off into the depths of the Sweden Rock Festival grounds.

Finnish metallers Leverage have issued the following recording update:
"We spent two fun days recording the majority of the rhythm guitar tracks + a few extra lines. We've got some kick-ass stuff on the way, and we really had a blast bashing away with the new riffs. We both played at the same time, like we've done before, and our friend Jari 'The tyrant engineer' was also there again hitting Rec and then either passing or failing us both at the end of a take. This time we both played our ESP 7-strings for most of the time, Torsti had his precious Bogner and I had the trusty Engl Invader for the amps, they sure know how to capture a big guitar sound at Studio Audio, the guitars really growl. We'll do a couple more songs next week, they need their drums recorded first. 'Til then. "

"The tropical heat has just arrived to Sweden and things are starting to shape up. Two festivals coming up real soon, looking forward to that.
"Songwriting mania has just begun for both SOILWORK and another act I would like to introduce you to. I have just launched my solo project that so far remain nameless. I have somewhat of a clear picture in my head of how the music will sound like. This might come as a shock to some of you but think Welcome to my Nightmare by Alice Cooper, Destroyer with Kiss, early Aerosmith, a dose of Born to Run with Bruce Springsteen, a rocked out Elvis, some Motown, first Boston album and some early Steely Dan etc...
"How about it folks? The sound is gonna be dirty retro classic rock with horns, strings and some spaced out percussion. I always wanted to do a real atmospheric rock album which has a pretentious, yet dirty dirty feel to it.. it's gonna be one hell of a project to make this all happen but I will give it the pace it deserves, just wanted to introduce you to it. "Thanks to everyone on the Westside, sorry to the Midwest :(
"Tour was an intense and epic adventure, I would like to thank all of the clubs, promoters, and bands that made the 2009 ZEBULON KOSTED WEST COAST TOUR a success!!! Our car waited to break down until we got back to Montana, which was nice because I didn't have any 'no shows' for gigs. A huge repair bill was payed for by both sides of my wifes and my own family, which will need to be paid back promptly(anyone who knows me well understands my loathing for any form of debt).
"Christina and I are also moving to Stevensville, Montana, a very beautiful little town outside of Missoula. With all of these major expenses being heaped on me, I regret to announce that I must cancel my mini Midwest tour. I'm going to have to get a second job to become financially stable again, and the strain put on a 1991 Oldsmobile by doing 2 tours in 2 months would just be too much. I apologize to everyone who has been putting this together for the last 2 months, and to the fans in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Chicago."
U.K. folk metallers Skyclad have issued the following announcement about an after show party for the release of their new album:
"Hi all, just to let you know that we’ve booked ‘The Globe’ (aka ‘the Polish bar) for the ‘Aftershow Party’ for the launch of ‘In The…All Together., this is for after the gig at Newcastle College. This bar is a very convenient ‘watering hole’, as most of the Academy staff will tell you, because it is just two minutes walk from Newcastle College. They also do some good ‘pub grub’, if you want to visit before the gig (but stay off the 7% lager until later). It also has a small stage, so we might be persuaded to do a few ‘unplugged songs’ and a terrace (weather permitting) but most importantly, it’s open until 3am!
"For all you trendy people on ‘Facebook’ check out – Pub The Globe, for all internet geeks there’s www.stolowka.co.uk (in English AND Polish, with maps and everything) and for mere mortals the address etc is: Telephone: 0191 2984000 The Globe, Railway Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AD."
