Zack de la Rocha:
"In the coming weeks we are going to be organizing a series of concerts that are respectful of the nature of the boycott in its attempts to isolate the Arizona government but not isolate the people, and especially the organizations that are fighting this on the ground. Many of us have begun to plan concerts that include bands that have signed on the Sound Strike, and make tickets available so that people within Arizona can come and see these concerts as they roll out. These are things that are being set into motion right now – a series of concerts or maybe even one giant concert in late July."

Vocalist/guitarist Carlos Garcia gave the following statement:
"World in Decline focuses on the downfall of human civilization as a result of our own selfishness, ignorance, and greed. The artwork was handled by our boy Daniel McBride, and the cover art is based on the lyrics for ‘Darkest Darkness,’ which, is basically, about me going to ‘confession’ just to realize I’m just as guilty as everyone else in contributing to our decline. We can’t wait for Prosthetic to release the album, and we’re even more excited to hit the road and play the new songs for everyone! There are definitely tour plans for the end of the summer."
Mecha Messiah guitarist/vocalist, Brian Langley, has checked in with the following message:

We were never a band to play alot of shows. The busiest year we ever had for shows was probably 2003. We played 8 shows that year.

Toronto, Ontario's Cauldron have released a post-tour statement following thier recent outing in Europe with Suicidal Angels, Steelwing and Enforcer. The band announces details regarding thier upcoming studio album, tentatively titled "Burning Fortune."
"So its been a couple weeks now since we returned from Europe and I figure its time for an update on what’s been going on since our last blog dropped off the face of the internet. I’ve added a summary of the last 3 weeks of the Euro tour to the “CHAINED TO THE STEEL ENFORCED SUICIDAL WINGS” tour blog.
We’ve been busy tweaking the new songs for the next album since we got back. We just did a couple new demos for BREAKING IN and RAPID CITY and also laid down some solos over the weekend for ALL OR NOTHING and FROZEN IN FIRE. BURNING FORTUNE is the working title for the record so far and we have about 10 songs demoed now. Some of the other new tunes are TEARS HAVE COME, THE SERPENT SORCERESS and I CONFESS. We’re looking to record hopefully in September and have this out early next year.
We have a few gigs this summer to keep us busy… this Saturday in Ottawa with Flying Fortress at Mavericks. This one should be quite interesting as it will be our first as a four-piece. No, we haven’t got a new member, but I cut a few of my fingers open pretty badly on some broken glass over the weekend and just had them stitched up. I’m not able to hold a pick right now, so rather than cancel the show I’ve asked my old friend Brandon Wars to fill in on bass for the show. Should be fun, I’ve never really done the “lead singer” thing before and I haven’t played with Brandon in over 4 years, so I’m kinda looking forward to this."

The organisers of the Maryland Deathfest have announced the first ten confirmations for next year's edition of the festival. Among them are recently reunited death metal outfit Exhumed, reactivated groove metal instigators Exhorder and Italian grindcore veterans Cripple Bastards, as well as Impaled Nazarene, Repugnant, The Kill, Wormed, Blood Freak, Cretin and Nightbringer. The festival will take place from May 27th-29th. Stay tuned for further information.
American death metal group Exhumed has announced their reformation after a five year hiatus. The band will consist of vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey, guitarist Wes Caley, bassist Leon DelMuerte and drummer Danny Walker. The band will also be recording a brand new album, their first since "Anatomy Is Destiny" in 2003, which is eyeing a Spring 2011 release.
Matt Harvey stated: "I'm totally fucken psyched to be making music with Exhumed again, it's been way too long. After a few years off and away from the death metal scene, I feel rejuvenated and ready to hack, maim and kill once again. I wanted this to be a continuation of what the band was doing and was on its way to doing, not a reunion or some weird nostalgia thing, so the first person I started talking about this with was our guitarist Wes (Caley), who has been writing some great songs for the new album, and once he got the ball rolling with Leon (DelMuerte, bass, vocals) and Danny (Walker, drums), it come together quickly and easier than ever!"
"We've been writing for the past few months, me in Hawaii, and the other guys in California, and now that I'm back on the mainland we'll be getting things together for album number four. We're all really excited about the new shit, it should combine the directness of Slaughtercult and the intricacy of Anatomy..., so it's definitely gonna be our strongest record yet."
ORDEN OGAN has released their new music video that was filmed for the title track of the new album, "Easton Hope." Watch the music video below:
LA’s TERROR has posted the new track, “Stick Tight,” on their MySpace page. The song comes off their new album, "Keepers of The Faith," which will be released on September 14th.
Vogel comments on the record, “It’s fucking crazy how this world works. We went to do a cool radio show on the third day of this tour and played a new song without even thinking. Hours later it was online so I guess we might as well just launch this new track everywhere. This way people can get the true version. The lyrics are on the blog too. I also just heard the test press of the 7 inch single for Keepers of The Faith and it sounds fucking great."
“This is the record we put everything we have into, from the music to the lyrics, the layout to the title and to the direct hand to hand street marketing approach, we are putting it all on the line. We took all the rules of what’s going on in the industry today and washed them from our minds. We wanted to capture those early days of hardcore. This is the record we were destined to make. This is TERROR at its best and I’m so excited to get this out and start touring surrounding its energy and passion.”
The release of DANZIG’s brand new album, "Deth Red Sabaoth" (reviewed here), returns the artist to the Billboard Charts this week. "Deth Red Sabaoth" was released on June 22 on Evilive/The End Records and is Danzig’s ninth studio album and first in over six years. The album debuts this week on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at #35 and at #3 on the Top Independent Album Chart. It marks Danzig’s highest-charting album since the release of "Danzig 4" in 1994.
The 11-track collection was written and produced by Glenn Danzig and joining Glenn in the studio for the recording of Deth Red Sabaoth were guitarist Tommy Victor (Prong, Ministry), a Danzig cohort on and off since 1997, and drummer Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative, Seventh Void). While Kelly has toured with Glenn intermittently since 2002, this is the first time he has recorded with the band. Glenn handled the bass chores for most of the album, and played drums on "Black Candy."
The CD cover artwork for Deth Red Sabaoth is an original painting by artist Joe Chiodo whose work has graced not only Danzig's Verotik publishing line, but the covers of numerous graphic novels and comic books, including "X-Men Unlimited."
Deth Red Sabaoth marks Danzig's ninth studio venture that began back in 1988 with the Rick Rubin-produced, Platinum-certified, Danzig. In 1993 "Mother" became a major hit and added to his iconic status that began over a decade earlier when he founded the near-mythic punk band Misfits and then Samhain.
Danzig - Glenn, guitarist Tommy Victor, drummer Johnny Kelly and bassist Steve Zing - also a founding member of Samhain with Glenn – recently completed an exclusive 9-city album release tour and will continue to tour extensively to support Deth Red Sabaoth.

We are still in love with death metal and are more than proud to announce the signing of Swedish death metal legend The Crown. They haven't lost any aggression since the early 90s and are still a guarantee for some death metal holocaust! In case of doubt, go to one of the summer festivals and hear some new songs live before the album's coming out this fall. We will be there as well. Cheers!"

All of us with the aim to make this release as satisfying as possible, leaving nothing to chanse. Thirteen songs were nailed on track, including intro and outro.

"Both recording, mixing and mastering took place at Sonic Train Studios and we had eyes and ears to it all the way, along with the great support and professionalism from Andy LaRocque. So with all efforts put down in this we are very proud and anxious to get this out and see from where to start."
