Testament Guitarist Checks In from the Road

Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick has checked in with the following tour update:

"We're in the homestretch of the tour and it's hard to believe it's almost over. This one really whizzed by, as we've hit a lot of places we were long overdue to play, such as Atlanta, New Orleans and St. Louis. Despite the fact that Testament, Unearth and Lazarus AD are three different generations of bands, there is a strong sense of camaraderie. Highlights include Sayreville, NJ, where we were joined on stage for 'Disciples Of The Watch,' by Sirius XM Liquid Metal host Jose Mangin, proving that he can sing metal, as well as spin it. At that same show, Buzz from Unearth did a stage dive, causing the wrath of a security guard who, not realizing who he was tried to throw him out unsuccesfully, as we watched from the stage (it was a wild night). More and more fans have been participating in the VIP packages, and it's been fun to get to know them better and let them in on the set up process with the shows. We're in the great state of Texas now, working our way West. Just over a week to go before we wrap in Cali for the last three gigs, Sand Diego, LA and SF. Thanks to all the fans for making this a great tour for all three bands!"

"After long and hard work, we just finished the studio work for 'Burn After Reaping' and I can assure you, that the songs will kick major ass!! It will be louder and more brutal than anything you’ve heard before! Our producer Corni Bartels pushed us to the limit and made the album what it is right now – a fucking killer! We have done a lot of crazy things and tried a lot to pimp the album. 'Burn After Reaping' will differ from 'Death Prevails' if it comes to songwriting and sound, but of course all known HACKNEYED trademarks have been kept. Björn Goosses of KILLUSTRATIONS (DEW-SCENTED, ABORTED etc…) created the artwork which matches our expectations perfectly. It fits the album like every single song!"

Municipal Waste Comments on Scion Rock Show

Tony, vocalist for Municipal Waste, checked in to talk about their last tour with Lamb of God and the upcoming Scion Rock Fest with Trap Them.

"Greetings! Tony here checking in from Richmond to let you know what's new with the MUNICIPAL WASTE camp. We just got back in town 2 weeks ago from our 6 week long tour with Lamb of God. The tour was so much fun and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people for coming out and supporting us as well as the bands on the tour for making it such a good time. We
made some great friends and did a lot of "time traveling" with them across the country.

We have a lot of exciting stuff planned this summer and the first thing we have up to bat is a Scion-sponsored show in L.A. on June 10th. We are really looking forward to playing a headlining show and to get our new songs out there to people. We are really fired up about this gig and plan to "go big" on this one so DON'T MISS IT! You will not be disappointed."

Northern California’s DEVASTATOR has been having a great year. With the release of the group’s latest demo/EP, "Burn The Beast," the group have received major accolades from metal press, radio and fans who recognize the band’s commitment to true metal and their continued progression as players and songwriters. The trio will embark on the tour in support of the EP and plan to finalize a label partner this fall upon completion of the dates so they can begin recording their debut before year’s end.
