The show, the final on the band’s current tour, was to feature Rumpelstiltskin Grinder and a 'special guest.' California's Prymary has issued the following update about line-up changes and a new album:
"It has been an exciting and fruitful time for us here in the Prymary camp. There has been a lot of activity and plenty of surprises. We have a new album currently in the beginning stages of mixing and a release date coming soon.
"However, it is my sad duty to announce that Smiley Sean has decided to leave Prymary and go back to school to pursue a career in film scoring. Although he would have liked to have continued in the band, the demands of school and Prymary would have been all but impossible. We fully support him in his new endeavor and wish him the best of luck. Smiley will still be involved behind the scenes with production and engineering.
Coming in to replace Smiley will be Neil McQueen who comes in with a wealth of studio and live experience.
"Neil's contributions to the group add a wealth of creativity and freshness to the group. On vocals to replace Prymary's former vocalist Mike DiSarro will be Jackson Heskett. Jackson is a bustling live musician and brings his tremendous vocals to the group. On bass we have Rob Young who has played live with the band since 2006. All of these talented musician's join Sean and I in rounding out our line-up. More...

Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick has checked in with the following update:
"We have played three of the four shows up here in Canada (Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary) and so far and the fans have been awesome. Some have been following us from show to show some even flew out from Italy to see us!!! The roster of bands has actually fit very well, I was worried that the diversity would segment the fan base to much but it seems (to me anyway) that there is something that each band brings to the table for everyone to appreciate. Whether it's the guitar driven thrash of Megadeth, old school double kick drum of Slayer, Heavy groove of Machine Head, or the brutal screaming of Suicide Silence, people are (IMHO) into it. Now we shall see what Winnipeg has to offer for the fourth and final show."
Adelaide’s Art in Exile has posted a band update on their MySpace page concerning recent and upcoming gigs, along with the bands debut full legnth recording:
"Howdy, folks! We’ve been busy over the past couple of months and it’s only going to get busier.
"Firstly, we just want to say a thank you to those who came out to support us at the recent Emergenza heats. Art In Exile made the cut and will be appearing at the next round in October, along with fellow metal maniacs Blood Mason. Great to see the Adelaide Metal brigade showing their stuff when it comes to supporting the musos keeping the metal flame blazing! Of course, keep your eyes open for further info on dates as they come to hand.
"Secondly, we are in the final stages of mixing our first full-length release, tentatively titled ‘Aeon Somnia’. We are currently looking at mastering with the now famous Jens Bogren in Sweden, also known for his work with Soilwork, Opeth and Amon Amarth to name just a few. Ten tracks in all, with music written over the course of the last five years coming together with new touches to create a stunning soundscape of our range of aural possibilities.
"Thirdly, we will be playing every month from July to October. Firstly there will be two free shows at the Cranker, first with A Murder Of Crows In July, then again on the 30th of August with Wasted Elegance and Mammoth. We then head over to Victoria, in Geelong on the 11th of Sept. and the 12th in Melbourne, with Vic. metal stalwarts Veil Of Anguish. Then, we head back to the next round of the Emergenza heats at Fowlers Live in October.
"So, we’ll be around in many ways, for you to get your fix of Art In Exile!"

California's Keel has issued the following recording update:
"Just like when you're on the road, days in the studio tend to blur and bleed over into one another...we started this thing on June 18, today's June 28, we took one day off, you do the math.
"Today Marc & Bryan will be wrapping up rhythm guitar tracks by putting finishing touches on the new KEEL power ballad 'Does Anybody Believe.' We're going at the rate of about three songs a day - each track has to be doubled and then you split 'em hard left and right in stereo, to get that BIG hard rock guitar sound...
"I'm back in Vegas, getting ready to start lead vocal sessions next week (I should be warmed up and ready for Rocklahoma 2 weeks from today). Vocals will most likely take the better part of a month: I'll tackle one song a day, give it all I got, scream my guts out, then take a day off before hitting the next one. There are 14 songs total, and in addition to lead vocals there are tons of harmonies and background vocals and big shouting rock anthem chants...at some point in the next month, we'll bring the other guys in the band to Vegas to participate in some of the big background harmonies - and since it's a KEEL tradition, we hope to have some special guest appearances on this album (we've already pegged Jamie St. James for a vocal part on 'Gimme That'). And of course we've got to take time out for Rocklahoma in the middle of all this.
"We are very close to making our announcement confirming the contract signing with our new record label. Everything - the record company support, the artwork & photography, and especially the music - is coming together to make this the best-sounding and most entertaining KEEL album of all time.
"Have a rockin' weekend - Ron"
