Legendary Austin industrial metal band Skrew, after a fifteen year hiatus, is back recording new material for an upcoming release. The band has posted three demo versions of songs over on its ReverbNation page. After a few classic albums in the nineties, Skrew dropped off of the radar after 1997's "Angel Seed XIII." Now, back and recording its fifth album and led by original member Adam Grossman, check out three new demo songs from Skrew below in the player.
Live video performances of Cultura Tres and Pendejo for the BitsRadio.netcan be watched below. The Bits Sessions were recorded during a live broadcasting from Backstage Studios in Caracas, Venezuela and include interviews with the bands. Cultura Tres discusses their DIY approach, the development of the South American stoner/sludge scene and its career outside Venezuela and ¡Pendejo! talk about its choice of performing in Spanish, line up changes and the future recordings of its next album.
Cultura Tres and Pendejo are playing at various events in South America this summer, including the first Stoner/ Sludge fest in Venezuela which will take place in the Cultura Tres home town of Maracay. The Argentineans Banda de la Muerte will join in Buenos Aires as a follow-on of their mini tour in The Netherlands earlier this year. Check out the two videos from Bit Sessions below. The first couple minutes features a radio announcer in Spanish and then proceeds into the live performances, which were recorded on June 27th.

As reported by MetalSucks.net, citing an article on Novinky.cz, Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe was arrested on charges of manslaughter stemming from a "tragic incident" in Prague at a Lamb of God performance on May 24, 2010, which led to a death.
The article states that Lamb Of God performance scheduled tonight at Club Cafe in Prague was cancelled by the band's management, which identified no specific reason to local promoting agency Obscure.
The band was scheduled to perform with All Shall Perish and Skeletonwitch. Stay tuned for more information on this breaking story.
U.S. technical/progressive metal band Dysrhythmia is streaming the new track "Test of Submission" exclusively over at Metalsucks.com at this location. The song is the title track from the band's sixth studio album, and first for Profound Lord Records, which is scheduled for an August 28, 2012 release date.

Trivium drummer Nick Augusto was recently interviewed by Rhythm Magazine, the footage of which can be viewed in the player below. In the interview, Augusto discusses how he learned to play blast beats and how grindcore legends Napalm Death played a big role. Augusto previously played in the grindcore band Maruta before joining Trivium.

Finnish vampire rockers The 69 Eyes announced that the bands tenth album will be entitled "X," and scheduled for release this September through Nuclear Blast Records. The first single entitled "Red" will be issued one month earlier.
The album was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden and was produced by the "On The Verge" production team with mixing done by Stefan Boman (Bullet).
Lead vampire Jyrki69 commented:
"We've never really celebrated anything, not that we've been playing 20 years or so (vampires don't count decades). Thus this time we thought to celebrate a bit: the new album is entitled as tenth in Roman numbers, it'll be called X.
"The sound is the most melodic, yet melancholic, we've ever had. Listening to the pre-mixes have been giving goose bumps to everyone here. This is the best 69 Eyes album ever done!" the singer states."
Simultaneously with the new album, the band will also launch their own vampire style red wine, also called "Red," which will mainly be distributed in Sweden and Finland.
California's death/grind act Murder Construct, featuring Cattle Decapitation vocalist Travis Ryan, unveiled the album art for the band's full length debut LP entitled "Results." The album was recorded in Architeuthis Sound and Trench Studios in California with engineers Sean Vahle and John Haddad. The album is scheduled for release on August 28, 2012 via Relapse Records (pre-order at this location). This follows the 2010 debut self-titled EP.

Maryland death metal band Absurdist is streaming its entire debut self-titled five-song EP over on ReverbNation. The EP was originally going to be called "Eternal Ruin" until the death of founding member Ryan Engle changed that. The band continues on in his memory, and features current and ex members of Eternal Ruin, Inhumation and Final Redemption. Stream all five tracks below in the player.
Swedish quintet Engel is set to release its third album "Blood of Saints" in North America on September 25, 2012 through FrostByte Media. The album was previously released in Europe on May 18, 2012 through Season of Mist. "Blood of Saints" was produced by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Hatesphere, Dark Tranquility).

London based progressive/tech metal band Monuments is streaming the new song "Doxa" from the band's new album "Gnosis." The album features new vocalist Matt Rose and is scheduled for release on August 27, 2012 (EU) and August 28, 2012 (North America) through Century Media Records.

Swiss traditional metal band Emerald posted up a preview video for the band's upcoming sixth album "Unleashed." The album is scheduled for release on August 24, 2012 through Pure Steel Records and is the follow up to the 2010 release "Re-Forged," the first for vocalist Thomas Winkler.

Austrian goregrind band Nuclear Monstrosity recently self-released its debut album "So Let's Nuke'm First," with distribution by Sevared Records. Four tracks from it are streaming over on Nuclear Monstrosity's ReverbNation page, along with an upload of the track "Show Me Your Atomic Tits," which follows below.
The band started out as a one man project of guitarist Toxic Boy, who plays in Taxidermist. He recruited four more members to form the band. Nuclear Monstrosity will be playing at the 14th Annual Open Air Grindage Fekal Party on August 25th in Praha, Modra Vopice in the Czech Republic. Fourteen other bands are on the roster with Nuclear Monstrosity, and you can get updates of the event over on the Facebook event page.
The members of Texas based metal band Witches Mark were recently interviewed on SlayedinOregon.com before the performance at The East End in Portland over this past Memorial Day weekend. A video of the interview is available in the player below.
The band is set to release its debut full length LP "Witching Metal Ritual" for a tentative late summer/fall drop, which will feature guitarist Robb Bockman's debut on lead vocals and new drummer Scott Palmer. The album was recorded at Isotope Studios with engineer Stuart Laurence.

Italian black metal band Barbarian has posted a few tour dates it will be heading out on with Swedish band Usurpress on their Monstrance Of Death Euro Tour 2012. There will be several more dates all throughout central Europe in July, as Iconoclast Records is arranging at least ten more dates in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Alabama extreme metallers Ectovoid are streaming their entire nine-song debut album "Fractured in the Timeless Abyss" over on Bandcamp. The Birmingham trio just released the album on Hellthrasher Productions. The vinyl version will be put out on Blood Harvest Records. Ectovoid first hit the scene in March of 2011 with its self-released demo "Breathing Blackness."
Greek death metal band Resurgency just released its debut ten-song album "False Enlightenment" on Hellthrasher Productions. The band recently posted the song "Ending the Beginning," and now is streaming another track from the album - "Black Holes of Antiverse." Resurgency started out in Athens in 2009, releasing its first demo "Dark Revival" a year later.
Gloryhammer, the power metal side project of Alestorm frontman/keyboardist Christopher Bowes, posted up the band's first in studio video on the recording of the debut release "Tales from the Kingdom of Fife." The album is targeted for release in November, however, no date has officially been set.

Indonesian death metal band Departed recently put out its debut, "Oblation of Heaven Suffering," on Brute! Productions. The album features eleven tracks, track number seven which has been uploaded. Totem Cat Records has just reissued the debut self-titled EP from Maryland doom band Earthride. The EP contains the four studio tracks on the original, plus three live songs from shows in 2011. The three bonus live tracks are "Fighting the Devils Inside You," "Hacksaw Eyeball" and "For Mere Remains." Pennsylvania's blackened death metal act Sathanas is streaming the new track "Hammer of Demons." The track appears on the band's forthcoming eighth studio LP "La Hora De Lucifer," which is due out on September 6, 2012 through Pagan Records (See Metal Underground.com's review at this location.

Finnish traditional metal band Battle Beast posted the third and final part of a tour blog video series showcasing the band's tour with Nightwish in support of the band's debut LP "Steel," which was re-issued through Nuclear Blast earlier this year. In Episode 3, the band travels from Milano to Stuttgart, including backstage and on-stage video footage.

Italian band Pursuing the End has issued the following statement about completing work on a new music video:
"We're so glad to announce that..finally...our official videoclip 'Withering" is READY! We hope you'll love it as we do! We want to apologize to all of you guys for this long period of waiting, but believe us, it's been well worthwhile.

Ohio's The Convalescence has issued the following announcement about recruiting a new guitar player:
"HERES THE BIG NEWS! After the July/Aug tour we will be welcoming another member to the band: Dana Presson II on guitar (ex War Machine/Only The Dust Remains).
"Dana will play his 1st show with us September 7th in Painesville, OH in place of Britton, who will be in recovery from surgery at the time. Britton and Dana will both remain in the band and we will have 3 guitarists."
