Previously helmed solely by Carpathian Wolf (Lupus Karpatius in Latin) for the previous two full-length albums, the band currently also consists of German guitarist / composer / orchestrator Aryan Blaze to join the ranks of CONSPIRACY.
Carpathian Wolf (a.k.a Al' Hazred, former member of Sumerian black metallers Melechesh) left Melechesh in 2008 to fully concentrate and focus on CONSPIRACY. CONSPIRACY's musical direction sees a more logical step towards the fulfillment and ideology of Carpathian Wolf himself.
CONSPIRACY head-honcho Carpathian Wolf comments, "This time CONSPIRACY doesn't just spit rage and hatred but presents the symphony of sinister entertainment for the chosen elite black metal consumer. The material on 'Irremediable' ranges from Blackened Heavy Metal with melodic and harmonious guitar solos to Black Metal with unorthodox elements, which will pleasantly surprise even the most spoilt listeners." "Fellow Cataractians, after sorting out the internet troubles we're finally able to report on our fourth visit to the brand spanking new Antfarm Studios! We're gonna keep the blah blah low and give you the raw and ugly truth of being a rockstar and having to bring something new into your music so the reviews will be raving."
"Day 0, Sunday. Drove up to danmark, whew. 12hours of germans slowing down whenever a truck, bend or raincloud approaches. Entered danmark, got fingered by the cops, just shortly though as we didn't shower in the morning. Best thing about the drive – speed limit in danmark is now 130 on the motorways! Collected keys to our little home for the next two weeks, we rented a small house on the beach of danmark, about 20mins away from the studio. Turns out it's a 4* holyday home with all possible extras (minus a working internet connection), so we're really stoked and ready to go!" More...

An excerpt from the studio diary is as follows:
"Went into SWEET SPOT studios & started setting the drums up for CONSEQUENCE OF POWER. I am really looking forward to it because I really like this studio. Working w/ the owner Jim Fox, is always a treat. I always like to go in early, the night before and stretch out new drum heads on my custom Joey Jordison double bass kit. This kit is set up a lot different than most drummers and tuned a lot lower than most, consisting of 10” & 12” drums on the far left a 13” drum in the middle and a 14” on the right w/ a 13” Pork Pie metal screamer snare. My cymbals consist of a variety of brands Zildjian, Sabian, & Meinl. The cymbals are also set up a little stranger than the average drummers set up consisting of a set of 13” hi hats on the left and a set of 14” hi hats on the right. An 18” china on the right and an 18” china on the left. Two 18” crash cymbals in the center right & center left position and two 16” crash cymbals on the outside. The ride cymbal placement is low center right." More...

Instrumenal/progressive metal group Animals As Leaders have been very active recently. The band's new single, “Wave of Babies,” is available for download exclusively on iTunes. Additionally, Tosin Abasi, who is the band's leader and plays an eight string guitar, has released a guitar tutorial that shows how to play part of “Wave of Babies.” This tutorial can be found on GuitarWorld.com. Abasi commented on the whole shebang:
"This is a track I did with Misha ‘Bulb’ Mansoor (Periphery) shortly after the Animals as Leaders album was finished. Apparently the musical ideas weren't exhausted during the album sessions and we still had some collaborative momentum left in us. It's very possible that we'll be adding this song to our live set during the Summer Slaughter tour in July so make sure to come out early to catch us!"
Animals As Leaders will soon be on tour on the Summer Slaughter Lineup, following up Abasi's stint with Born of Osiris on the 2009 Summer Slaughter Tour. Check out all the Animals As Leaders details, including Summer Slaughter details, at their MySpace Page.
Featuring members of Killing Time and Uppercut, Kings Destroy seems like the ultimate wet dream for any hardcore music fanatic. However, the band is as far away from their roots as possible. With a groovy stoner metal sound and some sneering attitude to boot, Kings Destroy will leave some scratching their head in confusion.
Thankfully, the band seems more than capable at playing at a slower tempo if their show in Philly on June 25th supporting Starkweather was any indication. While it was only their fourth live show, they gelled well as a unit and put on an effective performance that featured songs from their upcoming debut album scheduled to be released later in the year. In-between their set and Starkweather’s, I had the opportunity to speak to vocalist Steve Murphy about the band’s latest 7-inch, plans for the debut album, and how important storytelling is to their songwriting. Death metal band God Dethroned is currently in the studio working on their tenth full length. Via their MySpace Page they have briefly commented on the new album, their new guitarist and their recent tour:
"It's studio time again.
We've been working hard on a new album lately and just finished songwriting.
Our second album with a World War One theme.
Mike and Henri will start laying down drum and guitar tracks at Soundlodge Studio's (Germany) with producer Joerg Uken.
It's our third time recording there as we have been very pleased with the results of the previous albums.
We would like to thank Ian Jekelis (Abigail Williams) for playing guitar with us on the Killfest tour in the U.S. where we supported Overkill on many great and succesful shows.
We also would like to welcome Danny Tunker as our new lead guitarist.
Danny already played with us on a few shows and festivals and we decided to give him the chance to show his skills on our new album.
More news soon.
Cheers, God Dethroned"
Each week in "Unearthing the Metal Underground," we shine a light on promising bands coming out of the darkness of the underground. Nashville TN is the music business center of the United States, and isn’t without its fair share of shadows where bands outside of the mainstream get their start.
Nashville is home to top-charting hit-makers like Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Ke$ha, and others, but has a dark underside where metal bands thrive. Psychedelic doom metal act Clorange, progressive metal act Invicta, and symphonic black metal band Cernunnos! are the subjects of this Unearthing.
The Nashville scene revolves around several known venues – The End, The Muse, Rocketown, and Exit/In – with nightly local shows. A fair share of bands that have become national touring acts have gotten their start here in Nashville and the surrounding towns of Murfreesboro and Knoxville, such as Whitechapel, Enfold Darkness and Destroy Destroy Destroy. Nashville is also home to the music studio of famed Soilwork guitarist/producer Peter Wichers. With no shortage of studios and talent in this town, bands are able to find each other, play lots of shows, and record very easily, releasing albums just the way they want. More...
