Nokternal Hemizphear Records has announced the signing of Armath Sargon for the release of the band's latest production “Under the Moon and the Sun,” which is set to drop late summer 2012. The following press release was issued about the black metal band:
"From the northern Scandinavian lands of Finland, welcome a passionate and yearning underground production that is Armath Sargon. Toss aside any preconceived notions about extreme metal and the dogma of black metal origins. Armath Sargon’s latest creation 'Under the Moon and the Sun' is a fresh and uniquely new listening experience that cannot be rightfully compared to other artists of adjacent metal genres.
"The entire album is a unique touch of subtle melancholic-introspection in the wake of utter eternal truth, besprinkled with a touch of Scandinavian black metal roots, elements of the symphonic and laced with catchy doom atmospheres. Straight to the heart of the matter and biblically based on the truths of ancient scripture and the love of Jesus Christ, Armath Sargon will uplift your soul amidst the mire of filth around you.
"Purely uplifting music, 'Under the Moon and the Sun' is the healing balm for the soul and the peace for your mind. Unlike Armath Sargon’s pervious material, 'Under the Moon and the Sun' is superior in every form and fashion. This is a big step up in production efforts and sound for Armath Sargon. The songwriting and lyrical content are more in-depth and intentional then precious albums resulting in a more fuller, mature sound with high-quality packaging and artwork that will become a favorite to all who love Scandinavian music but want something more and something different. The Armstrong Metal Fest will be taking place on July 20th and 21st, with full details available over at the festival's official website. The organizers of the event have now issued the following statement:
"On July 20th-21st, the beautiful Okanagan will play host to the largest metal festival in Western Canada. Over the past few years. metal fans from even the farthest depths of North America have dragged themselves out of their dingy bars, wiped the stale beer from their mouths and joined together in a two day long journey filled with beer, boobs and heavy metal. In the past, Armstrong Metalfest has welcomed bands such as Three Inches of Blood into our small community, and this year will be joined by bands such as Thor, Into Eternity, Nylithia and Ninjaspy. Our list of notable bands will only increase as the years go on.
"In only a few years, Armstrong Metalfest has grown from a locally known one day event, to two days of unforgettable music and events. Beginning as Armstrong Open Air, AMF was founded in the parents' driveway of a dedicate metalhead. The first year featured locally known bands, who performed on a hastily built stage in front of a barn. Over a hundred people battled the rain and moshed on the gravel driveway, creating a soup of blood, rain and dirt that surely must have seeped into the towns water supply. The first event was such a success that there was an immediate cry for more. Soon word spread over British Columbia and filtered into the surrounding provinces and the United States.
"By the third year Armstrong Metalfest had evolved into a two day festival and moved onto festival grounds at the Hassen Arena, in the heart of Armstrong. Our new location was met with a public outcry, as local churches rallied against us. Accused of encouraging crime, Satanism and rape, churches held town meetings demanding that we be expelled from the city. Our website and promotional videos were attacked, as church goers expressed worries that their children would be beaten up, raped and sodomized if they were to attend. More...

04. Za Korak Paklu Bliže (The Stone cover)

Australia's Kunvuk has released the song "Teeth Swallower" for streaming and as a free download. Check out the track in the player below. The song comes off the band's 2nd record "Consume Rapture," which was released earlier this month. Kunvuk also commented:
"After touring nationally in support of debut album 'Immute: Jackals,' Kunvuk retreated to their Shadow Mekanik Studios for six months to carve out their stomping and screaming sophomore punch-in-the-face. Recorded, engineered and mixed again by the band’s guitarist and singer David Hart 'Consume Rapture' represents a leap forward in intensity and chaos for the band’s sound.
"The album was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (DEATH, SWANS, MASTODON, CONVERGE, BARONESS, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, CLUTCH) in New Windsor, New York."
As previously stated by Kunvuk they will be donating 50% of all profits from “Consume Rapture” to the the “Save the Tasmanian Devil Program.” More...
Skynet is currently offering the band's self-titled EP as a free download. You can stream or download the songs over at the band's official website. The track listing is as follows:
7. Break Stuff
The following press release was also issued about the EP:
"Skynet, the next big metal act to come out of Hamilton. With the hype off their debut video 'Deception,' the boys from Skynet went to Plain City, Ohio to record their debut 6 song EP with Dan Smoldt at URC Studios, and guitarist Adrian Levasseur as producer. They entered the studio drunk, and without distraction, to deliver the most raw and brutal album possible. Straight Reads the Line alumni Blake Prince and Adrian Levasseur’s songwriting shine over this album. Talented is something that more than describes Pete Chernets and Fraser Stephenson, their technical skill will astound and atrophy. Skynet’s debut EP will make you listen again and harder. They are ready to wreck your city on the Blind Witness' farewell tour and continue to rule the road this summer/fall."

Peaceville Records will be re-releasing the "Mørke Gravers Kammer" album from Khold on July 16th, 2012. Pre-orders are available here. The label also commented on this edition of the album:
"Norwegian black metal band Khold formed in Oslo in the year 2000, by Gard & Sarke (currently seen in his own, self-named act, alongside Darkthrone’s Nocturno Culto), as Khold emerged out of the ashes of the cult band Tulus. They have recorded 5 albums to date, & have successfully toured with bands such as Satyricon & Behemoth in the past. Khold is also notable for their use of old Norse for song-titles & lyrics.
"‘Mørke Gravers Kammer’ was Khold’s third album, recorded in late 2003 & originally released in 2004. By now Khold was fast becoming one of the premier Norwegian acts of the new millennium, mixing old school riffing with groove-laden black metal & a completely stripped down production, often classed as a fine mix of Darkthrone & Celtic Frost.
"This edition of ‘Mørke Gravers Kammer’ includes a bonus, previously unreleased track from the band’s ‘Demo 2000’, as well as the music video to the song ‘Død’."

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Keisuke Okada (Disconformity, Gridlink, etc.) at Sound Studio Noah in Tokyo, and bearing macabre cover art by Kei Gomi (viewable here), Bestial Thrashing Bulldozer oozes with rapid-fire riffing, pulverizing drum work and morbid screams. "We'd like to throw a special thanks to the following: Carly (Bish) Chaney for lending her lenses, and operating the camera 90% of the time. George Chaney for being handy, hitting that play button, and being overall helpful throughout the shoot. Epifanio Martinez for operating the dolly rig, as well as the added Mexican support. Katie Lynne for attending the entire 4-5 hour shoot, and supporting us.
"Kelly Mason for having dinner with us post-shoot, and being one of the key reasons we are even a band (thanks to her and Katie's Seattle music blog, Rain City Ambience). Nozomi for her friendly greetings, and yummy homemade Japanese snacks to keep us going! Lab51 Media for letting me use the dolly / camera mount for our MacGyver'd panning rig...
"Thank you everyone, for helping us make this happen! Your support means so much." More...
