"What up peeps. While trudging along on our current European tour we got some good news that made us all smile. Turns out we planned to play a show in Buffalo, NY this summer on the same day (July 30th) that our good friends in Rise Against already had a show booked. So we did the only thing that made sense...combined the two shows. It’s going to be a great day choc full of splendid bands. Rise Against are bringing their tour mates Rancid and Billy Talent along with them, and we will have our buds All That Remains and White Chapel along with us. Plus all you can eat hot wings somewhere nearby! So make sure to check it out. Also be sure to catch Rise Against on tour with Rancid through the end of July!"
Greek black metal band Naer Mataron has issued the following statement about their end of their recent European tour:

"At this point we wish to thank all of you who were on our shows and supported us throughout this European tour, Jarboe and all our friends in her band, superstar Joey, and of course the team of Season of Mist who honored us with their presence in Marseilles.
"Until we meet again..."
Finnish horror inspired dirgy down-tuned death doom band HOODED MENACE has signed with Profound Lore Records. Look for Lasse and co. to enter the studio sometime this fall and if all goes accordingly, look for the new Hooded Menace opus to be released sometime early 2010.
In the meantime, you can check out some of their older songs on their MySpace page.

American brutal death metallers Vile have issued the following statement on their Myspace page.
"We just finished recording the vocals for the new Vile album today. Our singer, Mike Hrubovcak flew in from Philadelphia last Saturday and leaves tomorrow after a week of recording.
"As with the drums, the recording sessions were conducted at my Imperial Mastering studio and we have taken all the time necessary to get absolutely perfect results. Its was a real pleasure recording Mike. He came totally prepared and we spent a lot of time with overdubs and production in general. The end result is going to be a really dynamic and original sound.
"Also we spent a lot of time making sure that Mike's performances were appropriate for Vile's sound but also very clear to allow the lyrics to be understood more easily. Since I have taken over lyric writing for the band, I wanted to make sure that the relevant subjects I have been writing about get through to the listener. I think the fans will be really knocked out by Mike's performances when the album is finally released. I believe Mike is one of the worrld's greatest extreme metal singers and I think that most of you will probably agree when you hear what he has done.
"As for me, I am extremely pleased so far. I have really taken total control over all the aspects of the production and when the album is released, it will be obvious that I have done my absolute best to perfect every aspect of the music, lyrics, production and artwork. Its been over three years and I am almost ready to let this baby go.
"We still have to figure out the label situation and all of that, but we are hoping to have the album released at least in a limited way by the fall time with a full world-wide release soon afterwards and we are also starting to plan for a European tour for the spring of 2010. A U.S. tour will follow but we need to make sure its a good one.
"I will stay in touch with you guys and I thank you for your patience and support!
