You can check out a new track, entitled "Gleamer," from INTRONAUT here. The track comes off their upcoming new album, Void, which is expected to be released on August 22nd through Goodfellow.
Suffocation have posted the following message at their official website:
"We are happy to announce the completion of our new self titled album, "Suffocation". We are anxious for it to hit the streets and are expecting an early September release date. We are confident with the outcome and look forward to the upcoming tours that will be scheduled to support it. The album will be out a few weeks prior to the start of the Fear Factory, Hypocrisy, Decapitated tour which will give you fans just enough time to familiarize yourselves to the Pain we are anxious to bring to your city and town.
Audio samples will be up on the newly designed site very soon. Site design by www.dirged.be. Also, for info on our upcoming tour, check out www.purevolume.com/tours/strhess.
Last but not least, Suffocation bassist Derek Boyer is recovering from 4 broken bones. Derek's leg was broken 06/06/06. The good news is, Derek will be back on two feet in time for the tours this summer."
MP3.com is now streaming the entire of Dragonforce's new album, "Inhuman Rampage", online here.
The album was released in Europe in January and was also meant to be released in the U.S. at the same time. However, due to label problems the album is now due out in the U.S. on June 20th via Roadrunner Records and will contain the video for "Through the Fire and Flames" as a bonus.
Long-running Florida-based death metallers MONSTROSITY have issued the following update:
"The Europe tour was killer. We had a great time and played all 33 shows of the tour without any show cancellations. Criss-crossing from one side of Europe to the other and then back again was definitely awesome. It was great meeting everyone and hope to get back there as soon as we wrap up the recording of the new record. We have been writing and things are coming along. We will be posting some pre-production demos of the new material on our MySpace paget soon so watch for that. Probably sooner than later so check it out!! If you still haven't seen the videos we have uploaded on our myspace page then check them out too because they are pretty cool also. One is from Brazil and the other is from Paris. More...
Tim Roth, guitarist of Into Eternity has issued the following update regarding the new album:
"Things are going well these days in the Into Eternity camp. The recording of our 4th album was recently completed at the end of May. Now we are looking forward to Andy Sneap putting all of his talent into mixing the new disc. That will take place around June 23/06. The band is excited for everyone to hear the new material.
Right now Mattias Norén is working on the CD packaging. I've seen the cover and it looks really amazing. Mattias always does a great job. Last week we finished a photo shoot with Cortney Bodnar. The pics turned out well and now it's up to Mattias to bring every thing to life.
We've been listening to a rough mix of the songs that the studio gave us. So far, I think it is a mix between Dead Or Dreaming and Buried In Oblivion. For this album we kept some things a bit more stripped down. Now we won't have 5 vocal harmonies going at once. The band decided that we want to sound more like we do live, so we stuck to 2 part vocal harmonies. It still sounds killer though and I'm sure people will dig the new melodies. Stu did a great job singing on this album. He has 5 different voices that he can change back and forth from. Wait to you hear some of the notes he hits!"
Def Leppard's new album, "YEAH!", has taken off, and the band is just about ready to embark on its U.S. tour. As a preview for its North American fans, the band will appear on two U.S. television shows.
On Friday, June 23, Def Leppard will appear on CBS' "Late Late Show", which airs at 12:35 a.m. ET/PT, and on Monday, June 26 they'll stop by the set of the syndicated morning show "Live with Regis & Kelly".
Def Leppard will play one or two songs on each show. The band begins the North American leg of its tour this Friday at the Tweeter Center in Camden, N.J.
Seven Witches mainman/guitarist Jack Frost has issued the following update:
"What's up all? Just wanted to touch bases and bring you all some news on what's going on in the Witches camp.
As I'm sure some of you know, I'm not going to be able to join Marshall Law. Believe me when I tell you, it's nothing personal on either end, Marshall Law and their fans are great. The fact is that it just came at a really bad time as far as things coming up on my end, (Which I'll get into as this update continues) and like the press release from Marshall Law said, we just don't have time to do the quality product that Marshall Law and Seven Witches are known for, so rather then put out a substandard product and disappoint any of our fans, we decided to call it day. I wish the guys nothing but the best and hope they have great and even huge success with everything they do and want to thank them for the opportunity to even play with such an awesome group as Marshall Law.
In other news, Seven Witches and Frost, my solo project, are on the verge of signing a new record deal with a MAJOR company that will give both projects a three record deal each. With this deal, it will allow for more touring, better videos, bigger and better distribution and more support then we've ever received in the past. At this point nothing is set in stone so I can't say much more, but It will definitely be better for anyone who say's that they never get to see us live or can't find our albums. More...
Legendary black metallers Emperor are scheduled to perform at Key Club in W. Hollywood, CA on Sunday, July 16th. The band's first ever U.S. performance will also include appearances by Goatwhore and Crematorium.
Doors for the show open at 7 PM, tickets are $65 general admission and $100 V.I.P. and are available by calling the Key Club box office (310-274-5800) or via www.ticketmaster.com.
Emperor, featuring vocalist/guitarist Ihsahn, guitarist Samoth and drummer Trym, disbanded prior to the release of their 2001 album, "Prometheus: The Discipline Of Fire & Demise".
The record remains one of Candlelight Records top selling U.S. releases. In late 2004, the label reissued each of Emperor's four genre-defining albums - "Wrath Of The Tyrants", "In The Nightside Eclipse", "Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk" and "IX Equilibriium". Each album is reworked with additional bonus footage and material unavailable previously on both European and U.S. licensed versions.
Forming in 1991, Emperor recordings have sold hundreds of thousands worldwide. Their impact on black/extreme metal ranks them as one of the genre’s most influential. Respected by musicians, fans and critics alike, Emperor recorded their final album, "Prometheus: The Discipline Of Fire & Demise" in 2001, shortly thereafter announcing they were disbanding (with Samoth and Trym continuing on in new band Zyklon; Isahn contributing to his band Peccatum).
The band will reunite for a handful of shows throughout Los Angeles and New York, including their stop at Key Club with New Orleans based Goatwhore and L.A. murdercore outfit Crematorium.
Roadrunner Records have now revealed that the final tracklisting for the new Stone Sour album, "Come What(ever) May", due to be released in the UK on July 31st and in North America on August 1st, is as follows:
2. Come What(ever) May
3. Hell & Consequences
5. Made Of Scars
7. Your God
8. Through Glass
10. 1st Person
12. Zzyxz Road
Jonathan Cohen of Billboard.com has issued the following report:
KORN's Jonathan Davis is happy to be alive after a recent near-fatal bout with a blood infection, and he's itching to get back on stage.
"I feel good, but I feel like I want to jump out of my skin," he told Billboard.com by phone from his Los Angeles home, where he will rest until the July 27 start of KORN's Family Values tour.
As previously reported, Davis was rushed to a London hospital earlier this month after developing the blood disorder immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), forcing KORN to scrap the rest of its European tour.
"We had just done a show in Hamburg, Germany," Davis recalls. "I was on the bus and noticed all this bruising all over my body. It wasn't bad, just here and there, but I was like, what the hell? This ain't right. I don't remember hitting myself or anything, and I never bruise."

Many of you know by now that Cleveland, Ohio's all-female metal act Level-C has been signed recently to Crash Music Inc. for a two record deal. They have climbed quickly out of their local hometown scene, into the worldwide spotlight after having finished in the top ten on MTV's Battle for Ozzfest, and now securing a solid opportunity at really making their dreams come true in the dog eat dog music industry. Their lead vocalist, Christine Maynard is my final interview with the band, having now featured each bandmate here at metalunderground.com this year. More...
DAYLIGHT DIES will film their first-ever video this coming weekend for the song "Lies That Bind" from their latest album, "Dismantling Devotion", now available via Candlelight Records. Set to be filmed outside the band's base of Raleigh, North Carolina, the Ramon Boutviseth-directed clip will feature the full band with local actors in a plot that caters to the song's dark and compelling lyrical storyline.
After filming, DAYLIGHT DIES will prepare for their performances alongside labelmates EMPEROR in New York July 13 and 14. The band will play a warm-up date in Philadelphia on July 11 and later this year will kick off their first full tour in support of "Dismantling Devotion"; teaming up with Sweden's KATATONIA and Portugal's MOONSPELL.
ION DISSONANCE vocalist Gabriel McCaughry has announced his departure from the group with the following statement:
"It's over... and it's probably the hardest decision I had to take in my entire life. There are so many reasons... to be totally honest with you, I don't even know where to begin with this. Basically the Passion was slowly slipping away, but of course its not that simple. Over the years, several concerns (problems) began to spawn in my mind and concerned only me I guess, my personal views on how I was picturing myself doing in the band. And therefore my views on how I perceived Extreme music in general which differed from what ION DISSONANCE would become. And I cannot deny the fact that it also had to do with some intra-social issues within the band itself. More...

Utah based extreme metallers NECROPHACUS have released the follow up to 2003's Infected With Darkness with End Of All Things Holy.
According to drummer Molach: "This albums was a long time coming and we had to do it the way we wanted it done, which in turn took a little bit more time. This album is a pure representation of all of our collective influences and our love of good production. Definitely way more diverse than Infected was. We are all very proud of this art."
End Of All Things Holy was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Steamline Studios by Curtis Morrell (KATAGORY V).

But since we keep getting requests about it we've made a special for you. Please keep in mind I wrote the track 12 years ago and it was recorded 10 years ago 1996. It is just a demo". More...
Norwegian thrashers HARM have two songs from their upcoming debut album, "Devil", available online at this location.

The 11th edition of the Brutal Assault festival is scheduled for August 10th - 12th in Svojsice U Prelouce (100 km east of Prague), Czech Republic.
Organizers have issued the following update:
This year’s event promises more impressive expansion and confirms that the organizers don’t intend to stagnate. On the contrary, from year to year, the festival’s program is more and more various and promises more and more foreign metal crowd-pullers for the fans of promiscuous extreme genres. Thanks to the participation of many first-rate metal bands, this event aspires to become a major metal festival in central Europe.
It’s difficult to say which band can be branded as the headliner because this year’s lineup offers up several giants of the metal genre.
Great attraction, especially for fans of atmospheric or symphonic black metal are Norwegians black metal gurus DIMMU BORGIR. In their case we can look for a frosty and dark concert experience.
The next exclusive guest comes from the USA. FEAR FACTORY, who were well known as a representatives of dehumanized cyber metal, but nowadays they come with a new actual face of the year 2006. More...

Pennsylvania based grinders CIRCLE OF DEAD CHILDREN have posted the following update:
"Mike Bartek is no longer a part of CODC and for the indefinite time being we are forced into hiatus. We apologize to the promoters and bands we have had shows booked with as well as the fans, as we were about 3/4 of the way through the next full-length release. There was absolutely no way around this. Mike had a list of "qualities" that would have had him tossed from most bands, but friendship was what mostly kept him with us. This time he crossed way over the line and defecated on any concepts of friendship and respect possible and stooped lower than we thought even he would ever go.
So he is gone and an ugly part of the CIRCLE's past and, for anyone who has followed CODC through the years, we are once again in the situation of finding a new member. Joe, Jason and Drew have decided to continue on and feel that ultimately, Mike's departure will be a huge blessing in disguise for CODC. After 3 drummers, 3 bass players and 3 guitarists, the machine will hopefully continue on. Plenty of skulls still need crushed.
We will begin tryouts for a new drummer asap. If interested, please contact CODC at firstname.lastname@example.org We are located in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area."

Irish doomsters MOURNING BELOVETH have posted the following update at their official website:
"Back from tour with PRIMORDIAL, MOONSORROW, and our label mates GARDENS OF GEHENNAH and it was probably the best tour yet; well organized, well attended and some great reactions. We even got to play Hungary, Vienna and Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig where we hadn't been before and each night we were shouted back for more - even some slow handclapping some nights. Sold out shows in Arnheim and Biebob told the story of the tour really. People appreciating bands who play from the heart and not the usual merry-go-round of touring bands. A tour report and some pictures is pending. Last weekend saw us appear with Primordial again in London, another triumph for Irish Metal as the attendance was close to the 300 mark. A great crowd response and some dodgy singing in the Intrepid fox later made sure we would be remembered. More...
COLDWORKER, featuring former NASUM drummer Anders Jakobson, are currently in the studio working on the band's debut album, entitled The Contaminated Void. The band is recording the album by themselves to be mixed by Dan Swanö and mastered by Peter In de Betou. The album will include 14 tracks and a 15th track on the Japanese edition. Jakobson has posted this latest studio report at the band's website:
"The second week was slightly shorter working-wise due to the annual Hultsfred festival in Sweden. Anders B (Bertilsson - guitars) went there as early as Tuesday and I went back and forth on Friday. But we managed to record some stuff anyway.
On Monday we continued tracking the guitar. As mentioned above, Anders B had to finish his guitars as fast as possible due to the Hultsfred trip so we scheduled two sessions with him and one with André in the middle.
