Italian power metallers, Rhapsody of Fire, issue the following update:
"First of all thank you for all the patience you had in these last times despite the lack of news regarding the band."
"We wanted to inform you that we are in the middle of a hard legal fight with MCM and his main representative Mr. Joey De Maio.
That’s the reason why in the last months we had to keep all strictly confidential and could not release any official declaration that could obviously be used against us from the opposite side. And that’s also the reason why we were constricted to stop completely our band’s activity. Frankly we are not able to imagine if all this can end in a very close future but we want to assure you that we are ready to fight with all the strength of body and soul in order to protect yours and our beloved band. Yes, aside from these bad events we ask you to not lose your faith in us. As soon as this sad situation will be solved we’ll be ready for a great and mighty come back. A new album, a real masterpiece of speed/epic metal, is already composed and ready to be recorded and after its release an immense worldwide tour will finally follow for yours and our extreme satisfaction."

Death To Music has provided yet another free download in ZARDONIC's "Chaotic Serenity" EP (DTM019). "Chaotic Serenity" is a collection of his early works, heavily influenced (and featuring) elements of raw black and death metal soldered to a raw backbone of experimental DnB industrial.
Originally recorded for aborted projects Burning Without Consumption and Digital Insanity, these aural assaults have been dug out of the hard-drive and "offered up on a bloody plate of download destruction."
"...I have decided to compile all of them into this conceptual piece of work for the Death To Music community, specially after the great response that the track 'Chaotic Serenity' (after which the EP is named) got from its release on the 'F**k Em All Vol. 2' compilation. For the DTM crowd, this is my gift to you. Harsh metal guitars and arrangements that were meant to sound raw, because raw was the language they wanted to speak, and raw is the language of the rebels. F**k the industry, f**k the system. f**k the church. f**k everything!..."
You can now download this EP by visiting deathtomusic.com. If you havent signed up with them before, send a blank email to email@example.com.
In other news, ZARDONIC has a remix of The Berzerker in the remix competition on The Berzerker's MySpace (half-way down on the right of the screen).

Alex is a phenomenal musician, and we wish him all the best in the future. In all the years we've been doing this whole band thing, Dima, Carmine, and myself have felt that we sounded the best with Alex in this lineup. Alex, cheers brother!" More...

CYNIC drummer Sean Reinert has issued the following update:
“We are currently finishing up mixing the last two songs for the new CYNIC album with Warren Riker and could not be happier. It is really sounding amazing. I’m loving my drum sound! Paul’s [Masvidal, guitar/vocals] guitar tones are really killer. [Sean] Malone [bass] came down from Missouri for four days and tracked some great bass and stick lines. Tymon [Kruidenier, guitar/vocals] arrived [from Holland] last weekend and is now part of the fold. His growls and guitars are sounding sick!! We’ve been in a Glendale studio for almost 4 1/2 weeks now and yet I feel like we’ve been here a year! After we finish tomorrow night we will sit and live with the songs for a week before proceeding on to mastering. Right after that we start our rehearsals for the summer European mini-tour so keep a lookout for dates.”
