"We're happy to announce the signing of Tainted Nation! Tainted Nation was officially introduced as band in late October 2010, but the band's history began earlier in 2009 when Pete Newdeck (Eden's Curse, Steve Grimmet) started to write songs with his friend Ian Nash (Steve Grimmet).
"Soon Pete and Mark Cross (Firewind, Kingdom Come) became close friends while being on tour together and talked about forming a new band with Pete as the lead singer. Pontus Egberg (The Poodles) joined Tainted Nation in spring 2010 and completed the line-up.

As Relapse prepares to officially release Primate's debut LP "Draw Back A Stump" into the general population on July 3rd, today another new track from the beast has been unleashed. Check out “Silence Of Violence” and get some info on how the group and album came together via Blow The Scene right here.
Also from the album, the track “Pride” is available via a Relapse lyric video in the player available below. The following press release was also issued about the album:
"Primate's grind-infused hardcore punk ruckus brings the relentless spirit of the genre’s pioneers like Poison Idea, Doom, Bad Brains, Napalm Death and Discharge into the modern age with super slick and thunderous production and a foundation-leveling sonic beating. Formed by vocalist Kevin Sharp, bassist/vocalist Dave Whitworth, drummer Shayne Huff and guitarists Bill Kelliher and Mike Brennan, the band dispersed a 1000-run CD pressing of Draw Back A Stump on their own last year.
"Shortly after, they joined forces with Relapse who are now preparing to officially release a remixed and remastered version of the album worldwide in all formats, featuring three tracks not on the original release. Preorders are available here.
"Following several destructive live appearances last year after the album was initially released, this new version will see Primate taking to the streets once again, as live confrontations and more are being planned to take place in the months ahead." More...

U.K. symphonic metal act Saturnian has inked a deal with Indie Recordings. The record label commented:
"2011 saw the uprising of a new breed of Extreme Symphonic Metal. Saturnian are a 5 piece from the United Kingdom, proud of a country rich in metal history and ready to usher in a new age charged with its pedigree. Saturnian was formed around one main principle – to create epic and majestic music to enchant fans of all metal genres; delivered in a grand and dramatic style that could soundtrack a blockbuster movie or theatrical performance.
"Expect razor sharp riffing, fist pounding rhythms, and a symphonic backbone worthy of the far reaches of the Universe. In true portentous British style, a rich choral explosion, soaring sopranos, and ethereal Gregorian chant round out this massive sonic explosion. This ethos comes to life in the Saturnian live experience, which in itself is a theatrical spectacle rather than a generic recital of music. Saturnian breeds an eclectic blend of voices, stunning instrumental performances, and a visual experience that will amaze, mystify and inspire!
"During the short time that Saturnian have been touring the length and breadth of the UK they also won the Bloodstock Metal to the Masses competition. This takes the band to Wacken Open Air festival in 2012, and also officially opening Bloodstock 2012!"
Upcoming Saturnian live shows are as follows:

09.08.12 Bloodstock, Swadlincote, UK More...
Norway's In Vain (not to be confused with the Spanish act of the same name) has released a new music video for the song ”Dark Prophets, Black Hearts” from last album ”Mantra." The video is available for viewing after the jump. Indie Recordings also commented on the band:
"In Vain was formed by J. Haaland and A. Frigstad back in 2003, however the band first saw action during the summer of 2004 when recording their first release. The highly critically acclaimed 'Will the Sun Ever Rise' was a three-track EP of unrelenting atmosphere, aggression and complexity. The release was embraced by metal heads and journalists alike. When their debut album 'The Latter Rain' was released in 2007, the metal world didn't know what hit them.
"With their latest album 'Mantra' with brutal passages, progressive guitar riffs, beautiful melodies and a diverse use of vocal styles, the album continues the progression from 'The Latter Rain.' In Vain took a step up amongst the heavyweights of the genre. This album proves that the band is in it for the long haul. It is safe to say that this is the best In Vain-album to date." More...

Philadelphia based metallers Single Bullet Theory have quite a busy next few months ahead of them. In the midst of writing and recording their next full length offering, the band will be hitting the road in August as part of the North American Devastation tour alongside Into Eternity and Riksha. Matt DiFabio offers some insight below:
Well, I have compiled about fourteen songs for the next record and our drummer, Nick (Bunczk) and I have been working on the new material pretty diligently to get a large portion of it ready before we hit the road. It's been pretty refreshing working on arrangements and little extras for each of these songs; I'd say its pretty consistent with the SBT sound. Some may say that that might be considered a little inconsistent considering the vast amount of influences we have and that i am not afraid to wear 'em on my sleeve. Regardless, the new record is pretty damn heavy with a good dose of melody thrown in for good measure.More...
Working with Nick is a breath of fresh air. His drumming and general musicianship is completely off the charts, so to hear these songs come to life with him behind the kit... well, its really inspiring. Also, for the first time in almost thirteen years, there is a collaborative effort for a track. Our guitarist, Joe Brannigan, had some KILLER riffs floating around in his noggin. He came up to the house last week and we were able to get them scratch tracked and compiled into a completely new piece of music.
It's very heavy and kinda reminds me of something that would have been done on the 'Nevermore Dreaming Neon Black' record. I have a serious pool of talent to pull from on the next record and I intend to utilize everyone's strengths accordingly. On the last SBT, 'V,' we had a blazing lead guitarist and a great drummer to record with but I knew that we would never have those exact guys live. With this new record I have even more of a blazing lead guitarist in Pat Brose and an even better drummer with Nick Bunczk. What's better yet is that I know we will be able to pull these new songs off live without a hitch.
Purified In Blood has released a new music video to the single ”Mot Grav," which is off the band's new album “Flight Of A Dying Sun,” released today in Europe. Check out the video clip below. The following press release was issued about the album:
"Two years after releasing 'Under Black Skies,' Purified in Blood is now ready to unleash yet another monster; 'Flight Of A Dying Sun.' Their previous album 'Under Black Skies' got overwhelming critics and the band is widely known to deliver the goods live as well. If there’s one thing Purified in Blood looks forward to, it’s touring with these new, crushing songs. Destroying city after city with Norwegian metal.
"Taking their sound to a new level, the band is very pleased with the outcome of this new recording. They have a newfound intensity inspired by their early days. Mixing the hard with the groovy this album has the variety listeners will find interesting and heavy. 'Flight Of A Dying Sun' is recorded and produced by Danish juggernaut Jacob Bredahl and mixed and mastered by the metal legend Tue Madsen; the heaviest combo known to man." More...

"The plans to make a full-length record began right after the release of the EP 'Human Mutation' in 2010 and the band started the search for the right producer. Tantara entered the studio again in July 2011 to record their long anticipated debut album with the legendary producer Flemming Rasmussen. The band chose Rasmussen because of his background of producing records for bands like Rainbow, Metallica, Blind Guardian and Morbid Angel. The album 'Based On Evil' was recorded during four weeks in July 2011 in the studios ARK Recording Studios and Sweet Silence Mix Suite in Copenhagen, Denmark.
"Based On Evil is filled with fast, mind-boggling riffs, aggressive vocals and impeccable drumming. In addition to the melodic and masterly conducted solos one can find progressive elements in Tantara’s music. Their songs might be longer than normal in the genre, but they possess a unique song-writing talent that keep the listener engaged throughout the whole album. Tantara draws inspiration from bands such as Heathen, Anthrax, Exodus, Megadeth, Slayer, Nuclear Assault, Vio-lence and Metallica." More...

As the new machines slowly take over the old, we watch as our dependence on them grows and becomes more secure.
"Not only are the new machines taking over the old, but they are taking over us as well; by increasing our need for them and our like for their convenience.
