Santa Cruz CA’s tech-death metallers Decrepit Birth have revealed the artwork for their upcoming "Polarity" album, which is to be released on July 27th in North America on Nuclear Blast Records. The artwork was completed by artist Dan Seagrave and can be viewed through Decibel Magazine.
Guitarist Matt Sotelo explained the meaning behind the cover: "Dan's art fits the overall theme of the album perfectly. We had approached Dan with some ideas at a show of ours he attended. It was really cool to finally meet Dan in person and get the chance to explain to him some of our song themes as well as ideas for the new album cover. We could tell that he was excited to help us on this one! The cover depicts images of ancient energies and balance, which is something that is personal for us, and perfectly reflects our abstract lyrical and musical style. Dan's art is so unmistakable!"
Artist Dan Seagrave offered an even more in depth reasoning behind his artistic interpretation: “It is the vision of a transcendental nightmare. where the perception of technological power has gone beyond the will of the author. In the slumbering cohesive minds of the human race, and the absence of communicative truth between people, their social masks become their Sarcophagi. A telepathic cult is formed that fells the earth, reducing it to an atomic level. Its information trapped in mirrored shards. Through this energy, distant echos of images are glimpsed, particles reform, and a new chronozone period is born, set adrift at a dawnless epoch.”

“Our new video ‘Deliverance Is Mine’ will be the follow-up to 2003’s CGI animated masterpiece ‘Light The Torch’. We’ve always loved that clip and it’s really exciting to be able to give it a sequel! The song is about people living through others like parasites, a perfect setting for the evil scientist and his humanoid servant to continue their cruel experiments. So far the first drafts look jaw-dropping and we have no doubt that the team over at Rock The Nation will do an amazing job on ‘Deliverance Is Mine’!”

"After the breakup of their previous band during late 2008 guitarist Cory Boyd and drummer Shad Covert set out to start a faster, heavier band with which to fulfill their musical desires. After hearing him sing along to Grim Reaper tracks on his car stereo, frontman Thomas Adams was immediately recruited on vocals. Following months of practice with various temporary bass players coming and going, the band had put together a set list worth of original material and covers. Ready to hit the stage the band found themselves in need of a bass player for an upcoming show. Gabe Franco of Seventh Gate was asked to fill in and after a killer performance, subsequently invited to join the permanent line-up. French black metal act Otargos has revealed the cover artwork for the upcoming album "No God No Satan," which can be viewed here. The band also commented on the artwork:
"Once again, we entrusted the work of XxX aka 3-Crosses to design the new cover and layout of our upcoming album. Spawned from his dark mind, the whole visual concept aims at expressing the pathetic impotence of mankind, drowned into its false beliefs, similar to the pathologic secret of the essence of flesh. In collaboration with the Dupuytren museum, all original photographs are the mirror of our ignorance and weakness facing the genesis of Life - which derives certainly not from a divine intervention.
"Delivering a more personal work than on 'Fuck God-Disease Process,' XxX honours Otargos' new musical masterpiece with an elaborated crimson tortured graphic design. 3-Crosses Design has worked for many bands such as Enthroned, Impiety, Destinity, WHiplash, The Few Against Many, Guillotine and many others."

We want to apologize to all our fans and friends who wanted to join us on that show and we're also sorry that we'll miss a chance to share the stage with such great Greek bands and of course Moonspell!
"Our next show will be as headliners on the second day of the Schoolwave festival in Athens on the 3rd of July. So we're eager to see everyone there and excited to be part of a most respected music festival."

Woe of Tyrants has issued the following comments about their recent tour dates with Entombed:
"Greetings WoT faithful, well after some amazing dates with our new friends in Entombed and Jungle Rot we're at home getting ready for the next run, which will feature Within the Ruins, The World We Knew, and Structures. While it was only a small batch of dates we can't complain, because getting to watch Entombed and Jungle Rot (who were so heavy that they knocked the power out in Detroit during their set) every night was nothing short of a privilege.
"Let's see... Ah yes, the highlights included: playing 'drop the empty plastic beer bottle into trash cans/truck beds from a 6 story rooftop in Milwaukee,' our new favorite venue and best show we've ever been a part of in Chicago at Reggie's, and of course trying to find dudes from the wanted posters in Wisconsin. Big thanks to everyone involved for their professionalism, and when appropriate, lack thereof! Check our all our pages for the full dates with WTR and also for our next full U.S. run with Jungle Rot! And now, some visual stimulation."

"Hello friends and all maniacs! First of all, we’d like to thank to London based band Pantheist for well organized gig in London and Dissolving of Prodigy for another great show played together and great back stage party as well on February this year! And thanks to our friends, Polish Londoners for accommodation, help, hospitality and never ending after party.
"Our trip to London was supported by Tattoo Studio Tattoo Kamuflaz (Support sound and get tattoo), with a bit of lottery to win big tattoo, and the winner is: Maja. Meanwhile we got back to work and at the moment we are about to finish recording of song called 'Zabobon' which is soon to be released on 4 way split concept album 'Unveiling the Signs' RM666 035 CD, themed by superstition contributing work of Gallileous together with great doom metal bands as Pantheist, Dissolving of Prodigy and Wijlen Wij. One more time we must say thanks to Tomas of Redrum666 for getting involved in such a release."
Chile based metallers Procession are currently in the studio recording a newalbum titled "Destroyers of the Faith," which is set to be released later this year via Doomentia Records. Procession has now checked in with the following recording reports:
"DAYS 5/6/7/8: Bollocks...between barbecue and unstoppable drinking sessions since last Wednesday, body is damaged and I started guitars yesterday with a fucking cold. Anyway the first rhythm guitars for: 'Hyperion,' 'Destroyers Of The Faith' and 'Chants Of The Nameless' are done now. Today we continue with the rest.
"DAY 9 'SLOW & PROUD:' Just arriving home after the 2nd session/6 hours of guitars...is it 48 strings per side enough for your heavy metal needs? OH YOU BET IT IS! Rhythm guitars for 'Hyperion,' 'Destroyers...' and 'Chants...' are done now. Also the first section for 'Tomb...' and 'The Road To The Gravegarden.' Tomorrow: early again with what´s left, arrangements, licks and solos of death."
Witchery is currently streaming another new song online from the upcoming album "Witchkrieg," which is set to be released via Century Media Records on June 21st in Europe and June 29th in North America. The new song "From Dead To Worse" features a guest solo from Andy LaRoque of King Diamond fame and can be heard on the band's MySpace site.
Witchery guitarist Jensen commented, "Andy was an old friend of the band since he recorded the Witchburner EP (back in 1999). I think all musicians would at some point like to play with other musicians that they respect. Like with jazz, the constellations of musicians are always changing, but with metal its a lot more rigid. Having people do guest solos is the closest way of collaborating in metal." Other guest guitarists on the album are Gary Holt & Lee Altus (Exodus), Hank Shermann (Mercyful Fate, Demonica) Jim Durkin (Dark Angel) and Kerry King."
Italian post-rock/progressive metal band At The Soundawn has launched a tour video montage, to give fans a behind the scenes look at their first European tour in support of their second studio album, "Shifting" (reviewed here), for which Metalunderground.com has the exclusive premiere through the weekend. The video captures highlights from the band’s recent romp through Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany, and is set to At The Soundawn’s single, “Mudra: In Acceptance and Regret,” taken from their April 2010 Lifeforce Records release.
At The Soundawn guitarist Andrea Violante comments: "All right, guys. Here we are. You thought that touring was stressing, sweating, smelling each other stinks, (that leads towards to) fart competitions and running out of money... well, you were right! This is all it's all about. We were stressed out, we were sweating, we were stinking but I was winning the fart competitions (not true - Luca won it)... and obviously we ran out of money in like two days! So if you think that this is not enough…that you want more meat, more blood, more passion, well maybe. . .it's helicopter time!!!"
