Just in time to kick off your weekend, Stereogum.com today is hosting a stream of "Casse, Pêches, Fractures et Traditions" from French black metal miscreants, Peste Noire. The twisted, tortured and plainly demented-sounding opus is the opening track off the band's recently unveiled "L’Ordure à l’État Pur" full-length.

Indianapolis, Indiana’s The Contortionist has just added five new Northeastern tour dates with Whitechapel to the band's summer touring schedule. The dates lead directly into recently announced shows with Veil of Maya, which will take the guys through Illinois and Indiana on four dates in June, serving as an excellent and rare opportunity to witness the band in its hometown.

Arizona act Landmine Marathon is recording the follow up to 2010's "Sovereign Descent." Once again the album is being recorded at guitarist Ryan Butler's Arcane Digital Recording Studios, where he's recorded past efforts from the band, as well as Misery Index, Phobia, The Funeral Pyre and many more.
The band is about to enter the mixing stage and is shooting for a late fall release for the as-yet-untitled fourth album. Look for the band to announce summer tour dates in the coming days.
Landmine Marathon guitarist Ryan Butler commented, "The new album contains our most raw and vicious material to date. We definitely found a great groove in writing and recording this record, everything feels very fluid. This is in great part due to our new drummer Andy York, who brings a powerful and tight dynamic to the band. I am really excited for the world to hear this new album."
Landmine Marathon, whose vocalist Grace Perry appeared on the cover of Revolver Magazine in late 2009, performed several shows at South By Southwest and the 2nd Annual Scion Rock Fest in March 2010, and also appeared at Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest and Indianapolis' Dude Fest last year.
Nuclear Blast has issued the following announcement about inking a deal with Italian outfit Tasters:

The release of the bands Nuclear Blast debut "Reckless Till The End" is scheduled for September 2011, and a teaser trailer can be viewed below.

Taylor, MI’s I Am Abomination has just posted a brand new track on the band's official Facebook page. The track "Abduction" is now available by heading over here.
“‘Abduction’ is the first song I wrote for Passion Of The Heist," states guitarist Nick Sampson. “The result was beyond my expectation. It’s one of the more laid back songs on the EP technicality wise, but what it lacks in technicality, it makes up for in diversity and great structure.”
The new digital EP, "Passion Of The Heist," will be released on July 19th, 2011 through Good Fight Music.

Two legends of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement, Blitzkrieg and Tank, have announced that they will be joining together to perform a one off show in the United Kingdom on August 6th. The show will take place at the 02 Academy in Newcastle. Tickets are on sale now.
Tank recently released their first studio album in nine years, "War Machine," which is the first to feature new vocalist Doogie White, formerly of Rainbow. Blitzkrieg are currently at work on their next album, which will be their first following the release of "Theatre Of The Damned" in 2007.

Toronto's Fatality has announced the dates for the upcoming "Western Annihilation" tour that will see the band venture across west coast Canada and USA.
Spencer Le Von, vocalist/guitarist of Fatality, commented on the tour, "That’s right folks. Enough of the East, bring on the West. This is gonna get messy folks. The East was merely an appetizer. Its time to extend our version of Heavy Metal Indulgence to the masses. We are playing with a ton of great American and Canadian acts such as Bonded by Blood, Zombie Holocaust, Skull Hammer (Canada) and Vektor. Holy shit Nose! We will also be spending roughly a week in California. I have been warned about California. They say eat lots of In and Out bergs, Stay out of Compton and always, always, always check for an Adam’s Apple. I must say, I am very excited. Hope to see some of you on our travels. Get some sleep, friends."

Alberta's All Else Fails will be headlining the Budweiser Beer Garden Stage at this year's 2011 Boonstock Fest in Gibbons, AB, a 45 minute drive north west of Edmonton. The band will be sharing the stage with acts such as Three Days Grace, Seether, A Perfect Circle, and many more. For further line up details visit this location.

British thrashers Evile are gearing up for what will be the band's first ever performance at the U.K.'s legendary Download Festival this weekend. Evile is due to take Donington Park by storm at 6:05pm this Saturday, 11th June on the Pepsi Max Stage, offering a raging set of old favorites, as well as some brand new tracks from the band's forthcoming album, "Five Serpent's Teeth."
Evile lead guitarist Ol Drake comments from the festival:
"Just arrived at Download for the first time and the atmosphere is amazing. Everyone is so friendly. Cannot wait to get on that Pepsi Max stage at 6 on Saturday. We've got a great set lined up with a few new tracks. I'm not nervous at all, just eager to get up there and make people thrash around! See you all there! Check out 'Eternal Empire' so you can come along, clap your hands and sing along!"
Evile will also be appearing at the Kerrang signing tent on Saturday at 12:00pm noon to greet fans, and there will also be an exclusive playback of the band's entire new album at the Earache Records stall (near the Second Stage) from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Chicago based metallic hardcore outfit Harm's Way will release the band’s newest full-length via upstate New York hardcore label Closed Casket Activities this Summer.
Following-up the “No Gods No Masters” 7? EP, released by Closed Casket Activities last year, the label is now prepared to drop Harm's Way’s second album, "Isolation," marking the label’s twentieth release to date. "Isolation" was recorded with Andy Nelson of Weekend Nachos at Bricktop Studios and will drop on July 5th in CD, LP, and digital formats. Bloody-Disgusting.com is reporting that Korn has been tapped to record a theme song for the upcoming new Silent Hill game "Silent Hill: Downpour." While Korn fans may be rejoicing, many followers of the series are less than pleased, with a petition already posted online begging Konami to go with any other band or composer. After 13 years Isis decided to call it quits earlier this year. The band is leaving fans with one hell of a parting gift though, in the form of five digital-only live albums, documenting performances from 2001 to 2006, which will be released every two-weeks through the end of July.
May 31st already saw the release of the first album and this Tuesday, June 14th, the band will unveil its follow-up, "ISIS Live II," which was recorded in 2003 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The entire album is currently available for streaming on MetalSucks now by navigating over to this location.
Gotham O.D. recently posted a new song online titled "In a Shell." The band has now issued the following announcement about canceling upcoming tour dates due to illness:
"Unfortunately the band has to cancel a few shows due to an acute illness case within the band. The singer Ilkka has some throat problems so he is unable to perform at least for a few weeks.
"The rest of the band wish Ilkka a speedy recovery and to all a great summer! We'll see you in Backyard Rock, Loviisa in July!"

Massacre Records has issued the following announcement about signing a deal with folk metal act Furor Gallico:
"'Furor Gallico' is the description that the ancient Romans gave the Celt warriors, who prepared for battle and were ready to die to defend their people and land. Furor Gallicoare the bards that bring the ancient legends of the Celtic world to life again with their folk metal!
"Their music features metal riffs with powerful growl and scream vocals that blend in with the melodic folk melodies of the violin, flutes, Celtic harp and bouzouki (a Greek lute).
"The band was formed in 2007 from an idea of Melissa (bass), Ste (guitar) and Becky (Celtic harp). They soon were joined by Pagan (voice), Marco (Drums), Oldhan (guitar), Laura (violin) and Merogaisus (whistles, bouzouki and bagpipes).
"The band recorded its first demo '390 b.c. - The Glorious Dawn' in 2008. Furor Gallico started playing gigs and in the meantime Simo became their new drummer and Mac the new bass player. In 2011 Paolo joined Furor Gallico as new whistler and Fabio became their new bass player."

DragonForce has announced the last in a trio of special, intimate shows on October 21st at New York’s Gramercy Theater. DragonForce’s return to New York will be their first since 2009, and will give fans and media the unique opportunity to preview the band’s new singer Marc Hudson and whet their appetites for what’s to come with some brand new material from their highly anticipated forthcoming album.
This special show will be the band’s only East Coast appearance in the U.S. before moving to the big stage with full production for their world tour, which commences early 2012. Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister has announced that he will releasing a new album with his rockabilly/country music act Headcat. The trio, which also features Slim Jim Phantom of The Stray Cats and Danny B. Harvey from Lonesome Spurs, will release "Walk The Walk...Talk The Talk" on July 5, 2011 through Niji Entertainment - the record label Wendy Dio and her and late husband Ronnie James Dio formed before his tragic passing. American rap-metal veterans Limp Bizkit have posted a new and strange video trailer online to promote their forthcoming comeback album "Gold Cobra." The video features Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland interviewing a gold cobra.
