"Due to personal reasons, Jake Calleja is no longer a member of Resist The Thought. The news came as a shock to all of us, as Jake has been our drummer and best mate since the band formed. "Jakes last show with the band will be at Campbelltown PCYC, June 18th with Sienna Skies. We will not be pulling out of any shows after this date (July 2nd Metalfest w/The Red Shore + The Thy Art Is Murder Sydney Dates - TBA) as we have a few mates to full in the position temporarily.

And Hell Followed With guitarist Kyle McIlmurray was recently asked by Earache about the BP gulf coast oil spill, and gave the following response:
"Despite being a complete horror show, we think the BP oil spill can have some good along with all of the bad. Obviously the bad side is the pollution, the murder of the environment, wildlife and human lives, the killing of local businesses and every major fuck up BP has made before or since this all went down. In trying to think of the bright side, though, this whole mess has exposed a major corporation that's had America by the balls. By weeding out the corporations and showing people the truth about them, you're destroying American corruption day by day."
BigMusicGeek.com will broadcast a live interview with the outspoken And Hell Followed With guitarist on Wednesday, June 16th at Noon CDST. The group's Earache Records debut "Proprioception" will be released in North America on June 29th. The upcoming And Hell Followed With tour dates are as follows: More...

And remember, if you don't read something on one of the OFFICIAL band pages, it's not confirmed, or it's just an internet rumor."

Six months after Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan's death, the cause of death has been determined as an accidental overdose of prescription drugs and alcohol, Orange County Deputy Coroner Mitchell Sigal told Rolling Stone. Toxicology reports indicate that Sullivan suffered "acute polydrug intoxication due to combined effects of Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Diazepam/Nordiazepam and ethanol." Sigal added that Sullivan also had cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart), which was marked in the coroner's report as a "significant condition" that may have played a role in the drummer's death. The Coroner's Department conducted "five or six" different tests to verify the cause of death, Sigal added.
Oxycodone is painkiller that substitutes for Codeine, Oxymorphone is a painkiller similar to Morphine, Diazepam/Nordiazepam are anxiety medications and ethanol is the intoxicant in alcohol. Actor Heath Ledger similarly died from acute polydrug intoxication on January 22, 2008.
Sullivan, 28, died at his home in Huntington Beach, California. He was buried in a private ceremony on January 6th. Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates delivered a eulogy at the cemetery in front of the band, Sullivan's wife and family, ex-Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul, Bullet For My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck and members of Buckcherry and My Chemical Romance.
Since The Rev's death, Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy stepped in behind the kit to finish recording the new album, and then later to help out tour.

Guitarist Øystein G. Brun comments: "As stated in several interviews the last couple of month’s it’s our firm intention to bring the band’s live activities up a notch in respect for all our fans. There is just no way we can dismiss all the requests we get all over the world. We are currently working on some really interesting touring plans, but unfortunately our brother in music Vintersorg is not able to come along for the moment being due to private commitments. So Vortex being a previous member and always a good friend of the band, it feels great to have him back in the fold in order to execute these plans. Also, I would like to express my deepest admiration for Vintersorg’s open minded and supportive attitude, embracing the idea to pull this off with Vortex in his absence- to make this a genuine and worthy solution for Borknagar.” More...
