Verse Announces Release of Debut on Bridge Nine

Verse is excited to announce the release of their debut album on Bridge Nine Records, entitled "Aggression." The album hits stores everywhere TODAY, so if you haven’t done so already, be sure to pick up a copy! Recently, Verse has hit the international road making a name for themselves as they shared the stage with Bane, Have Heart, Comeback Kid and many, many more. What makes Verse a band with staying power and identity is that they take a powerful, dynamic, and passionate performance both on record and tape and infuse it with a political and social backbone that is all but lost in the hardcore scene. Punknews.org agreed when reviewing From Anger And Rage, saying,"Hardcore, plain and simple, needs more bands like Verse. More bands that can match their own passion and intensity with the skill to parlay it into something memorable."

In support of Aggression, Verse will be heading out this summer for a national tour with label mates, Have Heart. Be sure to check the bands Myspace page, and stay tuned for more updates and tour dates to be announced.

Beyond Shadows Part Ways with Guitarist

Beyond Shadows’ lead guitarist/vocalist Lord Karnal offers the following band update on their MySpace page:

"Although we had a great run over the past year and a half with guitarist Sinner, we have decided to stop working with him in Beyond Shadows. The reasoning behind this decision is simply differences in personalities and an overall difference in direction. Sinner is a good guitarist and we harbor no ill feelings towards him. We wish him all the best. We are most excited to announce that Alien, a long time friend of ours and an outstanding musician, will be replacing Sinner. Tune in to our new tracks which will feature his razor sharp shredding. Thanks for supporting Beyond Shadows and the new addition to our line-up!"

Call To Preserve Signs to Facedown Records

Facedown Records has announced the signing of Florida hardcore band Call To Preserve. They released their debut album, "Unsinkable," on Facedown imprint label, Strike First Records. The new album will be recorded in July at The Outpost in Stoughton, MA with engineer Jim Siegel (Dropkick Murphys, Blood For Blood, Give Up The Ghost) and will be titled "From Isolation."

Guitarist Harbor Partin commented on the title and lyrical content: "We've written about being in places in life where we feel we're at our lowest and don't know why. The times when our faults are getting the best of us are the times we learn who we really are. It's when we're broken and humble that we're able to see the full extent of grace."

Look for "From Isolation" to be released in Fall 2008. In the meantime you can check out a couple of pre-production tracks from the upcoming album on the band's myspace page.

Spanish thrash metal band KORGUL THE EXTERMINATOR is the newest addition to XTREEM MUSIC's roster. The band recently released their debut recording in the form of a split CD with Spaniards MORBID YELL, where they perform a really primitive, rotting and infernal old school blackened thrash with influences from early SODOM, MORBID, early BATHORY, HELLHAMMER, early VOIVOD, DARKTHRONE, and BULLDOZER.

KORGULL THE EXTERMINATOR is currently working on a new and exclusive song and video-clip for XTREEM MUSIC's upcoming compilation, as well as writing new songs for their debut full-length album to be recorded by the end of the year for a 2009 release. Get Free Priest Ticket w/ Purchase Of New Album

While supplies last, when you purchase any configuration (regular CD edition, limited edition-deluxe hard-bound version and limited edition deluxe box [3LP's, 2 CD, book and poster] available only at Best Buy) of the initial pressing of Judas Priest's double disc concept album, "Nostradamus" (release date: June 17th), specially marked CD's will contain an insert with a exclusive code inside the CD package for one free lawn ticket to see Judas Priest on selected dates of the Metal Masters tour this summer, courtesy of Live Nation (see below for a complete list of those "select dates"). Visit judaspriest.com for details on this special offer. This offer will be good while supplies last and only applies to those select dates below.

The Metal Masters tour will undoubtedly be the top metal concert attraction of the summer. In addition to a headlining performance by Judas Priest, fans will also be treated to sets by Heaven and Hell, Motorhead, and Testament. "As ever, we look forward to screaming out loud with our metal maniac fans when we hit the road," enthuses Priest singer, Rob Halford. "The Priest is back!"

The tour, produced by Live Nation, will be Priest's first thorough sets of U.S. dates in nearly three years, and will be in support of the group's aforementioned "Nostradamus" release. Long in the works, "Nostradamus" was recorded in the UK, and takes epic storytelling to a whole new level, as it recounts the life of this mysterious, world-known 16th century French prophet. Some of the events that Nostradamus experts have interpreted as some of his predictions include the great fire of London in 1666, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and most recently, 9/11, among countless other renowned events.

"For me, 'Nostradamus' has been a musical journey without comparison," adds guitarist KK Downing. "The intrigue and mystery that surrounds this revered man has expanded my perception of heavy metal to the highest plateau and enabled me to reach the outer limits of my imagination and transport unique feelings and emotions to the instrument that allows me to express myself."

As to why they chose to make a concept album about Nostradamus, Glenn Tipton explains: "We didn't - he chose us. We feel it was meant to be!"

Offer good only for one of the following shows, while supplies last: More...
