Clasically trained harp duo Harptallica have released their self-produced debut, "Harptallica - A Tribute" on iTunes to coincide with the completion of the full-length CD. Tour dates are to be announced across the Midwest and East Coast in September.
You can also check out several of their songs by streaming them on their MySpace page.
Ashley Toman and Patricia Kline, both recipients of Master of Music Degrees from Rochester, NY's Eastman School of Music, formed Harptallica originally to perform a series of arrangements based on the music of Metallica.
While taking the next step in bringing their harps on the road, Harptallica hopes both to introduce audiences to new and original combinations of musical styles and to of course give tribute to a band they were both introduced to as a 'musical giant': Metallica.

Melbourne metal band SYMBIOSIST are searching for a new drummer and have posted the following message on that topic:
"We are about to release a full length (over 60 minutes) debut album recorded last year at 3phase studios in Melbourne with Sam Johnson, and are getting ready to release it in a few months with follow up shows around Australia.
"You can have can have a listen to 4 un-mastered tacks off our album on our myspace page to get an idea of what we sort of do.
"Keep in mind that we are not looking for an exact replacement drummer. But someone who can pick up our album songs and be excited to write with the band in the future. Must have reliable local transport, over 18, reliable gear with double kick.
"We are very keen to work with a drummer who can bring more heaviness and flow to our songs without over compensating fills and beats. But at the same time able to keep our material interesting, original and heavy."

Launch Radio Networks reports: EVANESCENCE is getting to play in countries that it's never visited before on its current tour, with trips scheduled for later this month to Russia and the Middle East, among other places. Singer Amy Lee told Launch she's looking forward to performing for new audiences. "We're going to Israel and Turkey and Russia and Scotland, and we've never been to any of those places," she said. "We actually just hit South Africa and South America and we'd never been to either of those places either, so it's very cool."
EVANESCENCE debuted its new lineup on May 19 at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio. The touring band now includes guitarist Troy McLawhorn and drummer Will Hunt, both of DARK NEW DAY, who replaced John LeCompt and Rocky Gray.
Lee married New York-based therapist Josh Hartzler on May 6.
The singer is also a national spokesperson for the Epilepsy Foundation's "Out of the Shadows" campaign and has met with teens living with epilepsy while on tour. Lee has a 13-year-old brother afflicted with the disease.
EVANESCENCE will return home to begin co-headlining the Family Values tour with KORN on July 20 in St. Louis.
The latest single from the band's "The Open Door" album is "Sweet Sacrifice".
Lord Ahriman, mainman for Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL, has issued the following update:
"I guess by now most of you, if not all, have realized that Matte Modin is no longer in the band. Anyway, we have for the past few weeks been busy rehearsing with a new AMAZING drummer. And all I can say is WOW! He totally nails the songs exactly as they are played on the albums, with every single hit on the snare, kick, cymbals, etc, just a little bit better. Might sound a bit weird to you, but now with a new maniac behind the kit one realize that a lot of things have actually been missing from the drum department when we’ve played the songs live. Not anymore though. And I’m sure things will just get better. More...
