Resound Gr!nd Records recently signed UK death metal artist IGNOMINIOUS INCARCERATION. IGNOMINIOUS INCARCERATION is a 5 piece Metal band based in the small town of Wellington in Somerset/United Kingdom. They formed in late August of 2006 aiming to create the best heavy music they could. They are mainly influenced by the older, more original Death Metal bands such as DECAPITATED, DEICIDE, and NECROPHAGIST to name but a few. The sound they are producing is a very fast pace, powerful sound whilst maintaining melody and changes to keep it interesting.
The first gig they played was to 30 people in a shed, they quickly got promoting and by the third gig found themselves playing to 500 people replacing ABIGAIL WILLIAMS as main support slot with a band called BRING ME THE HORIZON. Since then they have played with many bands including BRING ME THE HORIZON again, THE ARCHITECTS, CENTURION, and ETERNAL LORD.
Now in April 2007 the band signed a record deal with Austrian based label RESOUND GR!ND RECORDS, just nine months after there formation. They are are currently working on the yet to be named EP to be released on RESOUND GR!ND RECORDS in September/October 2007. The material will be entirely new, apart from track "I have risen" currently playing on the MySpace website.

For over four years, ERBEN DER SCHÖPFUNG kept a low profile, but now the band formed by Oliver Falk returns with new material and a new line-up. "The new songs are much heavier and we have focused much more heavily on the guitars, as well as in using more digital effects. The new material moves in the direction of Electro/EBM Dark Metal. Plus, we have added quite a few surprises," says Oliver. The yet untitled album is currently being recorded in the band´s very own studio and scheduled for a late 2007 release.
After the success of their chart album Des Königs Henker, SALTATIO MORTIS is finally back in the studio under the supervision of producer Thomas Heiman-Trosien (In Extremo, Schandmaul). Heavy guitars in combination with Medieval sounds will define SALTATIO MORTIS' next release. Musically and lyrically, the new, untitled album that is scheduled for an August 31, 2007 release will perfectly fuse modern times with the Dark Ages.
Watch out for an exclusive show in Substage/ Karlsruhe, taking place in May 11th, where SALTATIO MORTIS will present their new songs for fans and press there.

That's why, when the decision was made to release a special edition, we knew that it had to be just that: special,” says guitarist Josh Rand. “We added everything we could possibly get our hands on, including an entire show from Russia, making it only the greatest special edition ever! Diran Noubar's powerful new documentary "Over The Madness" about U.K. band PARADISE LOST provides unique insights on a rock band and the emergence of the "gothic metal" movement. The documentary referred by SYSTEM OF A DOWN's Serj Tankian as "THE film showing the inception and progression of PARADISE LOST" has already been nominated for some key film festivals this year, including Swansea Bay Film Festival (U.K.), Everglades Film Festival (South Africa) and the Wave Gotik Festival (Germany). The film's world premiere is set for the Cannes Film Festival's Market on Monday, May 21 (Palais D, 11:30 a.m.).
This year, PARADISE LOST are celebrating their 20th anniversary and the release of their 11th album. Along with country mates ANATHEMA and MY DYING BRIDE, the band — named after John Milton's epic 1667 poem — is credited for pioneering gothic metal. Throughout years of creative challenging and musical experimentation, PARADISE LOST have persisted in delivering a densely evocative and richly textured brand of metal. Creating a cult-following in many countries around the world, they have released commercially successful musical masterpieces, selling over two million records. Today, their influence still clearly transpires in the sound of most gothic and heavy metal bands. More...

The "Excess Of Evil" European tour has been cancelled. The trek was to run this month and feature Marduk, Enslaved, Keep Of Kalessin, Goatwhore, Melechesh, and Pantheon I. Here's a statement from Enslaved:
"We are not entirely informed and convinced as to why the tour is cancelled – we were promised an immediate statement from the touring agency (Metalysee) several days ago, but nothing has arrived. At this point, with few days left for the intended tour start, we could no longer wait and we are issuing this, to be honest, half-informed statement. We are normally booked through Goldstar Music in Norway, let us stress over and over again that this tour and its demise is not their workings, this was a one-off collaboration with another booking agency.
All we know is that the tour is cancelled and that we feel disappointed, bitter and at the same time vengeful. We are disappointed because we looked forward to performing top notch shows, being part of a high class package and meeting the fans, the friends; the scene. Bitter because we were already stretched to the limit to do this tour – we were ready to go out and do minimalist shows, with a session keyboard player (as Herbrand Larsen couldn't go due to personal reasons. We feel vengeful because we know we will come back and do these shows tenfold stronger. Our booking agent Goldstar has told us they are already working on rescheduling several of the shows this coming autumn.
As always, there will be speculations as to why this happened. Again, we regret to say that this was never really "our" tour so we lack some insight into the "whys" and "whos" and "whens". We can only state that we were ready to go, no injuries, no imprisonment, no primadonna acts; none of the usual industry clichés. We have heard rumours about why the tour was cancelled, but we choose not to repeat them until an official statement is issued from Metalysee/ Marduk. We hope other sources of information (web boards, forums, magazines) will remain equally patient/ respectful for the official version.
We'll be back with more info should it appear, along with any eventual re-bookings of these shows. A heartfelt thank you to all the people being ready for the shows in France, the UK, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany and Austria– we will return."
