"This short work paints a deep and obscure timelessness, while offering up powerful and intense melodies, and a rich atmosphere soaked in ambiance and melancholy. This should appeal to fans of Katatonia's 'Brave Murder Day' era."

Inverse Records also comments on the band:
"Nosdrama, from Tampere, creates their unique sound with minor chords spiced with a progressive shades of metal. On 06/21/2013 appears the band's fourth album 'Gravity,' recorded in Tampere and mastered in England. This time the theme of the album is built from universal spheres, the natural cycle of cosmology and human destinies. The title 'Gravity' describes the gravitation that affects all life forms, and yet leaves the mystery of the unknown magnetism and its effect to the spiritual world. In simpler terms the songs tell about fatal stories with heavy metal adjectives." More...

Revamp's vocalist Floor has checked in with the following announcement about working on a new album:
"In the few years of ReVamp’s young existence the band endured many challenges and unexpected circumstances. Heavy winter storms with long periods of suffocating frost! Followed by sudden summer rains with wild streams of water that’s taking everything with it into unknown territory. A survival of the fittest! ReVamp came out stronger, more mature and with darker and more brutal music that tells the tale of this wild ride!
"Never before in my career I faced a situation like the one we were in with this album. It was a huge challenge because of several reasons. My sickness caused a major break between the first album and tours plus the writing of the first ideas for the second album and the actual finalization of those songs and the album. And right at the moment we started to pick everything back up after I was sick I joined Nightwish. Like a winter and a summer storm, they bring unexpected things, some nasty ones and some amazingly wonderful!
"Also the recording of this album was unlike any I did before because I was on tour with Nightwish most of the time. Guided by Joost van den Broek (ex-After Forever, songwriter first ReVamp album) the talented musicians of ReVamp recorded all the instruments and when I came back to The Netherlands I stepped into the studio to find a rough diamond. A shiny dark crystal: ready for my vocals. That was magical! The singing went smoother than ever before. The lyrics are like a roadmap through our storms and through my personal detours and horrors. Extreme metal bulldozer System Divide (featuring members of Aborted / Ex-Distorted) just entered Sound Division Studios in Hagen (Germany) to start the tracking for 2nd full-length album entitled "The Cult of Indifference."
11 brand new tracks are being recorded during the Spring/Summer of 2013. Due to scheduling conflicts, longtime System Divide drummer Mike Heller (who is now the full time drummer for Fear Factory), is being replaced by Ken Bedene of Aborted, upon which vocalist Sven comments:
"So far things are going great, the album has been in the works for nearly 2 years now, we have all been busy with our other bands and it feels good to finally record this piece of work. Alas Mike (Heller) had too many other commitments when he joined Fear Factory but Ken is laying down killer tracks and the material is lightyears beyond anything the band has done. If you think you know System Divide, think again! The material is far more intricate, extreme and progressive without losing the groove and melodic aspects. I am sure this will turn quite some heads."
Continues Sven: "As mentioned above longtime drummer Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Malignancy) was too busy with his commitments with Fear Factory to be able to tour and record with System Divide, he is our brother and as much as this saddens we completely understand and also have to move on from our side. We wish him the best and would like to welcome our brother Ken Bedene (Aborted, EX-Abigail Williams) to the fold, Ken Already replaced Mike on our Japanese tour earlier this year and did a killer job, we are very excited to hear him lay down his killer style on these tracks." Wilson's debut album "Full Blast Fuckery" is due out July 9th, 2013 via Easy Killer Records. You can now check out a track off the release titled "College Gangbang" in the player below or over at Loudwire.com. The following press release was also issued about the band:
"Wilson is not an 'internet band.' They're five dudes in a van with beards and big dicks- working harder than your parents. But instead of giving their all as stockbrokers or auto-mechanics or assistant branch managers their job is to destroy your party. When that WILSON van cruises into your town that shit is REAL. Real MUSIC. Real LIFE. Real LOUD. Real SWEATY. And real fucking FUN.
"In more Welson news, the band has signed with New Damage Records in Canada. Full Blast Fuckery will be released on July 9th in the United States via Easy Killer Records and in Canada on New Damage Records.
"Wilson will be hitting the road supporting Newsted this May. The band has also confirmed that they will be taking part in this year's GWAR-B-Q on August 17th in Richmond, VA. Wilson is a band that has toured relentlessly since 2010, through big cities and little podunks. A band that records its albums the ol' fashioned way: with instruments. And analog gear. Fifth and sixth and twentieth takes. A band that brings that last Friday night on Earth mentality equally to huge crowds and audiences of two solitary dudes. Like P. Diddy once said 'Can't stop. Won't stop.' And they'll never quit on you. And that's real talk. That's #FUCKERY. And that's WILSON." More...

It’s been nearly four years since the last Mammoth Grinder full-length "Extinction Of Humanity" was released via Relapse Records (CD) and Cyclopean Records (LP). Now in 2013, Mammoth Grinder has found a home on 20 Buck Spin for the release of third full-length album "Underworlds." The following press release was issued about the album:
"Underworlds marks a peak at which Mammoth Grinder have sharpened and perfected their sound into a seething grind/death/thrash maelstrom of intense degree; unrelenting in its concentrated raw precision and focused power, Underworlds careens violently through ten tracks with effortless versatility and the fixated songcraft expected of a band on their third record.
"Tracks like 'Wraparound Eyes' with its Unleashed style mid-section or the short sharp shock of 'Paragon Pusher' illustrate Mammoth Grinder’s mastery over multiple variations of metal to assemble their own sound. Fans of Entombed, Pig Destroyer, Municipal Waste, Discharge, Napalm Death and Iron Lung will beat themselves into submission for missing out on this album, so do yourself a favor, and don’t miss out on it... Two years since the release of the "Leveler" album, August Burns Red is set to return with fifth album "Rescue & Restore," available via Solid State Records on June 25th.
The album, described by guitarist and principal songwriter JB Brubaker as the band’s “most ambitious album yet,” turns a critical eye to the oft-maligned genre of metalcore, leading by example to prove that bands can still find exciting new ways to expand the style.
“Rescue & Restore is about challenging other bands and ourselves, as well as fans of this music, to want more than whatever happens to be the current buzz,” explains Brubaker. “We’ve done our best with each new album to try to push our sound in new directions and we’d like to see our peers do the same. People need to realize that there’s not much of a difference between a metalcore song that has a couple breakdowns with a repeating chorus and the latest Lady Gaga song. This genre used to be better than that. It can still be better than that.”
“At the end of the day we are still a very heavy band,” he explains. “Rescue & Restore still has plenty of really heavy stuff, techy odd meter riffs, and all the stuff that people have come to expect from us, it just has a lot more surprises along the way.”
In support of "Rescue & Restore," the band will be performing all summer long as a mainstage act on the 2013 Vans Warped Tour, marking August Burns Red's third appearance overall and first since 2011. More...
Dani Filth has checked in with the following statement about the upcoming Temple of the Black Moon album:
"Greetings from the haunted realm of the Black Moon, it has been a while since last I have written anything concerning Temple, but justifiably so, as the five of us (Rob, Tom, John, Ice and myself) have all been busy with our respective other bands, doing what we do best. But the time has eventually arrived when I am able to offer some insight into our future plans, as our sharp-toothed metal cogs are finally turning anti-cockwise towards the gathering light.
"First off, the album is written and following Cradle Of Filth's tour of Australia in May, I will be returning to the frost bitten wastes of Bergen, Norway, to hook up with Tom and Ice to put the finishing touches to the tracks. This is in preparation for Tom's visit to LA at the end of May/beginning of June, to lay drum tracks down with John in preparation for the onslaught-to-come.
"In the meantime our manager (Vaughn Lewis, of Strong Management) is busy sourcing record labels amid all the other wonderful things a manager does.
"So there. It seems that exciting times are ahead and that this year should bear irrevocable final witness to Temple Of The Black Moon's debut album, with the track list thus far standing as the following (though in no discernible order)... More...

Slegest, the solo project of former Vreid guitarist Ese, has inked a deal with Dark Essence Records for the release of the band’s debut full-length album. No release date has yet been set, but it is anticipated that the album will appear worldwide towards the end of 2013. The following press release was issued about the band:
"Formed in 2010, it was the intention of Ese to create Black Sabbath inspired music with harsh vocals. An idea he took further, developing Slegest into the entity it is today with its rock-orientated sound distinguished by a distinctive black metal edge. Slegest’s first release was the self-titled 2012 EP, which appeared as both a digital release and as a 7” vinyl on Ese’s own label Systrond Recordings. Work on writing new material for the as yet untitled debut full-length album began in 2012, and the drum tracks have already been laid down at the Conclave and Earshot Studios in Bergen, Norway."
Ese also comments: “When you have to play every instrument yourself it does impose certain limitations on what you can, and cannot, do. But I have always had a very definite vision as to how I want Slegest to sound, and these limitations are very positive for the fulfillment of that vision.” More...
Croatian death/thrash metallers Infernal Tenebra have announced the addition of drummer Sebastian Stell to their lineup. Stell played with grindcore band Mercenary Cockroach among other bands, together with guitarist Ivo Petrovic who joined the band in 2009.
Following the recent departure of Sandi Orbanic (2005-2013) due to personal obligations, the band sought a permanent replacement. After the first audition and rehersal with Stell, it became obvious he was the best choice, and he was asked to join as a full-time member.
“We’re proud to have Sebastian Stell in our band,” says guitarist/vocalist Darko Etinger, “He’s an extremely talented and focused drummer, capable of bringing a significant contribution to the band’s sound.”
Stell’s first appearance with Infernal Tenebra is scheduled for June 7th, 2013 at Underwall Festival, Zadar, Croatia in support of bands such as Xentrix, Destruction, Max Pie and more.

Soulfly is pleased to announce the band has inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment, a new division of Nuclear Blast formed by owner Markus Staiger and former Roadrunner A&R chief Monte Conner.
Soulfly will enter the studio this month to begin recording an as-of-yet-untitled ninth studio album. The record will be produced by Terry Date, who is known for his work with such bands as Pantera, Deftones, and Soundgarden, among many others.
"I'm really excited to be signing Soulfy to Nuclear Blast Records,” commented frontman Max Cavalera. “On top of it, we're going to be reunited with Monte Conner who I've worked with for over 20 years at Roadrunner. Soulfly's new album is going to be recorded in Seattle with the great producer Terry Date, and it's going to come out later in the year through Nuclear Blast worldwide. Keep it metal!"
"It feels so right to be reunited with Max Cavalera,” added Monte Conner. “He is the second artist I signed and we've made 17 albums together over the years, including several metal classics. Max's voice remains just as unique and powerful as the day I met him and I felt the last Soulfly album Enslaved was his strongest work since the band’s Gold-selling debut. I am honored to call him a friend and to continue to be a part of his mission."
The band recently released a short trailer in which Max updates the Soulfly tribe about the coming album. Watch it at this location.

Pulverised Records will be releasing Skeletal Spectre's new album "Voodoo Dawn," and now the label has released an advance track from the coming album. Check out the song "Black Augury Hollow" below. Pulverised Records also comments:
"Bludgeoning and inexorable through and through, grime-sovereigns Skeletal Spectre once again incites the underworld with their deadly third conjuration 'Voodoo Dawn!'
"Spearheaded by the unholy Death / Doom Metal queen Vanessa Nocera, 'Voodoo Dawn' proudly displays a plethora of sagacious riffs that crush like a two-ton hammer and yet sickens enough to contaminate a diseased swamp. Sludge parts crawl in and out on occasions in an malefic alliance with some ugly D-Beat indulgence!
"With the entire full-length effort written and recorded at Morbid Apparition Studios while mixing and mastering duties were reined under the watchful eye of Patrick Bruss (Ribspreader, Acid Witch, Cianide, Impetigo, etc), and with the artistic scarring by Adam Geyer (Bone Gnawer, Fondlecorpse, Wooden Stake, etc); 'Voodoo Dawn' is a tormenting solace of the most hideous hex-ridden Death Metal to ever cross one's path." Philadelphia’s genre-morphing duo Sadgiqacea today celebrates the official North American release of debut album "False Prism." You can now stream the full album via Invisible Oranges or in the player below. The following press release was also issued about the album:
"Recorded by Chris Grigg (Woe), the sprawling forty-minute album projects the organic, monstrous tones and unified, distinctive style which has helped the two-piece act become one of Philly’s hottest live acts over the past two years. The record features virtually no overdubs or studio trickery, the band wishing to preserve the authentic recording quality of their live performances.
"Formed in 2010, Sadgiqacea (pronounced sad-juh-kay-sha) forges a diverse sonic palette that has been likened at times to Neurosis, Intronaut, Hull, The Atlas Moth, Weakling, and Kylesa. Musically and artistically, the band draws from a melting pot of influences that together presents a lush yet tension-filled sound. The band calls it, 'music for our trodden minds and sodden souls.' In a continuing effort to bring their craft to public forums, the band is finalizing the details for a bulky tour set to take place through most of July and well into August, joined by local cohorts Hivelords. The full tour routing will be announced in the coming days." More...

In news that has shocked the metalverse, Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying was arrested yesterday for allegedly soliciting an undercover officer to murder his wife.
Artisan News Service has now posted a video clip online with more details, including an interview with a member of the San Diego Sheriff's Department discussing the investigation and the arrest of Lambesis.
Although there has been no statement from any of Lambesis' various bands at this point (As I Lay Dying, Pyrithion, Austrian Death Machine), the San Diego Sheriff website does list Tim as being detained and set for arraignment tomorrow (May 9th) for charges of solicitation and conspiracy to commit murder.
It is assumed at this time that the band's tour with Killswitch Engage will be cancelled. Tim Lambesis also recently launched a crowd funding campaign to record a new Austrian Death Machine album, and the fate of that recording is likewise considered to be on hold or canceled. Tim also posted a video online just a few days ago defending his band Pyrithion from the religious fans of As I Lay Dying who were concerned with the darker and more extreme bent his latest project was taking.
